Beautifully presented, easy to use and excellent support. Highly recommended! As someone who is chronically ill, I have to plan my photography sorties to make the most of the time I have outside, because I don't have the option for walking around looking for the right angle or return visits, so this app is honestly life changing for me.

not enough feature. switched to another app. Reply: it's simple and clean, I can give this credit. Except for a photographer to a new location (or to any location), sunrise/sunset angle is also essential. If it's only the hours I need to know, I could just Google the sunrise/sunset hour then the gold hours are obvious, no app needed. Reply 2: Great! Thank you for considering this.

Nifty light planning tool for photography. My only complaint, which destroys its ability as a tool to plan ahead, is when you set a location other than your current location then change the date, your location reverts to your current location. When you change the date and then location, the sun locations on the map revert to locations based on current date, not the selected date. You can only see future sun locations at current location. Not sure if this is just a bug in the free version.

Super simple, super easy, super clear. No clutter, gets right to the point, no ads even in the free version, and the full version is cheap enough that you can just go and buy it. This is basically a weather app orientated around taking photos. It gives you the same information you can get for free from google or... another weather app. However... it's specialized which makes it super convenient. Data are just there, clearly and beautifully presented. Bought it almost immediately. Well worth it.

Okay but could be improved. my main four complaints and suggestions for improvement are as follows: 1. you have to click into the calendar to change the date. If you could swipe left/right to go back/forwards by one day that would be great. 2. the moonphase is shown by a picture, but doesn't tell you if it is waxing or waning. Please add description with %. 3. you have to guess when full/new moon is. Please add a picture to the calendar page. 4. add ability to change location.

An ok app. I tried to like it but the limited functions put me off. Not that I'm complaining, especially when they don't push ads in the free version. But still. . . It seems their target is professional photographers who have shooting schedules and all and who need to be aware of the various hours all the time. Not someone like me who started photography as a hobby and not as a profession that pays. Again, not that the cost is in the regions of an Adobe crapware. It's worth it, if you need it.

Edit: Uninstalled. No other app sends push notifications at 4am unless it's opt in. / Please don't notify me in the middle of the night. I'm asleep. There is no way to update notifications in the app.

I did not download this app via the Google Play Store. I want to understand how it got onto my phone, and why it opened itself. Because I have been having phone issues. Norton calls it "safe", but is it malware? Is there some other software where this might be an option to use, and one might ACCIDENTALLY click on a link to download it? Asking last question as it appeared on my phone and opened (on its own, as near as I could tell), right after I allowed some apps to update (auto update is off).

Great app. I love the interface and golden hour display. Although i have some improvement requests. The home screen widgets could use an upgrade to the new ui. And i would love an extension on the augumented reality to add stars constellations (also the ui goes funny with landscape orientation)

this app is absolutely fantastic, I mostly wanted it for the widget feature tho and I just have one tiny slight issue with it (because truly otherwise the widget is EXACTLY what I was looking for) - the 4x2 widget takes up extra space on my phone screen at both top & bottom of widget itself (so it takes up half the screen instead of the more compact size it's meant to be). if that were fixed it would be an easy 5 stars for the widget alone!

This is a simple, efficient sun tracker app. It gives you exactly the info you need without unnecessary fluff. The additional paid features aren't necessary, but do improve the utility of the app. The simple interfere and quick access to relevant information has made it one of my most used photo apps.

Love the app and the handy little widget. I've never had a single problem with the app. It's reliable and accurate in telling sunrise/set and golden/blue hours and I use it regularly for photography but also in many other things. I love when an app does what it says it does simply and without hassle. Great app!

I just downloaded it and I like the app and upgraded for lifetime access. One issue I'm having is that when I click on the sun/ cloud icon(weather??) the app closes and gives me this message. " Unfortunately Phototime has stopped." I'm not sure why it does that. 2. (added question to post) When I click on that particular icon, what should I see? Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. Updated review The cloud/sun icon does work after the update. Thanks for your quick response.

(have yet too test it enough too rate it but you asked for ideas/suggestions, so here goes!) Add interesting photo opportunities into the calendar; for example natural phenomena like meteor showers, eclipses, migration patterns (?) or community events like parades, Arts & Music festivals or other events with potential interesting photographic subject matter would be a wonderful addition!

How do you know why Golden Hour is? I like to use PhotoTime! It allows me to keep a widget on the background of my phone so I can see it every time I open my phone. I don't have to go through the hassle of looking through my phone for the right app. I can personalize it to my location so, no matter where I am I will have the right times. I can also plan ahead by choice the date I will be taking photos so I know when to schedule a session. This one works really well for me. The only thing I hope they start incorporating in the future is where the sun is located in the sky. It would definitely make this the go to app because I would not have to use two apps to get he job done.

Editing my previous review. The app had previously been crashing for me on my Pixel 8 but the developer is awesome and worked quickly to get it fixed! After I sent an email describing my issues, he was very responsive and got the app updated fast. It runs smoothly now and it's such a great tool for photography! Thank you so much for a great app!

Nice app. Simple and light. The way a utility app should be. With that said, being a photographer myself, whats the possibility of adding some truly basic weather data for the same location that the app knows as 'current location'. What I'm thinking is just to do a query from a weather service for some basic forecast data such as: Hi temp Lo temp Probability of precipitation Cloudy-ness (if data exists) Winds All things that a photographer would need to know. ;)

Good app, main screen is very aesthetically pleasing and tells me exactly what I need to know. I will say a few small, nitpicky things though, having the settings icon in both the top right and in the left menu panel is a bit redundant. Also The highlighting on the menu panel is a bit inconsistent, as I'll leave the settings menu and be back at the home screen, I'll pull the panel back out and settings will still be highlighted.

This app is extremely useful for many things such as driving long distances. It's easy to calculate what time I need to start driving so I'll have the most daylight driving time and also when I might be blinded by the setting sun. The app is helpful for convincing myself to get up when the Sun is rising to make the most of available daylight in the winter when it gets dark way too early. It's also used for what it was intended photography. Customer service response is great. I love this app!!!

Clean simple design. Shows day length, solar noon, sunrise/sunset, and blue and golden hours. The free version is functional enough, but about half the features are paywalled and blocked behind constant reminders to that effect. I might even be willing to upgrade to Premium, but do not take well to to constant pestering as a form of marketing. There are other less naggy alternatives.
