This app quit working today. Every time I open the app I get a communication error message with zero market data loaded. UPDATE 12/22/23 Kitco App is STILL not working properly. No charts will display at all. Current prices will display, but ZERO historical data is shown. Since the current prices are working I upgraded my review from one star to two stars.

I could not find an option to select silver purity, I really wanted to track daily 925 spot price changes, apart from that it looks to be a reasonable app. Also the feedback within the app points to my contacts, not to your website or email address when I press the send button, hence I am giving feedback here.

Excellent work, great app Kitco. It's a huge improvement from the old app, and offers so much customizable information on the home screen. FEATURE REQUEST: Tell us where the prices are coming from / what prices they are. For example, I have no idea where the aluminum, copper, uranium, or silver prices are coming from – what exchange or market it is.

I like being able to know gold and silver spot prices through the widget. Unfortunately the widget price does not seem to follow the actual spot price closely anymore - even with a 1 minute interval to check. Even going to the Kitco app shows a different price than the widgets. To bad, it used to be a great app!

Love the app over all to describe the indices, commodities, crypto, etc directions and details... The only item I would love to see added is the 10 year and 30 year Treasury yields along with SOFR rates.. This would put this as the only app to tell the who story as to what was happening in the very broad market.. I use this app to see where money is moving from and too on my phone and the yields would be the cherry on top to see what the market is doing. I have the widgets all set up. Thanks!

When connected to wifi, it doesn't want to load anything within 2 minutes. When it finally does, the chart boxes stay blank. It's done this before and was fixed with an update, then out of nowhere it starts doing it again.

Hi Kitco team, A very beneficial app, it is part of my daily life 🙂 Lately I am experiencing some problems, charts not working anymore for more than a week now. Also the low/high is showing the same figure as Bid/ask and not the daily low/high. Also widget not updating automatically, I need to click on it to change the numbers Hope this will be solved soon

used to be brilliant. however before Christmas holidays the charts stopped working , no data displayed. also widgets on my home screen stopped working. I deleted cache, uninstalled app and then reinstalled. widgets now updating but chars still not working. the charts was the best feature. please fix and I can re rate my review. Update - charts are now working again ! Well done 👍

Team, The app was working perfectly since downloaded. However, it's around 1 hr that the app opens, but staying in refreshing status without showing the data and shows "communication error" at the end. No problem with my internet, as I'm using it without an issue. Please fix it as soon as possible and I'll change it to 5 stars! Thanks!

for some reason they don't give you the options to make the text and numbers bigger on the widget and the new update shrunk them down about double! I feel sorry for the people with poor eyesight. I'm definitely deleting the app and going to choose a different ticker. you cannot change the font size within the widget even if you go with the bigger widget the number stay the same size and there is no way to make them bigger.

Since 28 November, the app has been particularly poor and still today, the charts simply don't load. Turning to the website version for charts is not an effective option when using a smartphone either. I've already reinstalled the app twice to see if that would solve the issues, but to no avail. Please sort this soon. EDIT: It's nice to see a correction and improvement to the past issues in a very timely manner. My review is updated along with the stars given.

Kitco continues to be a leader in precious metal information that people can use. Clean and easy to navigate interface. Alert features are intuitive. Nice sized widget. Really like the news feature - nice mixture of current news as well as latest precious metal news. The Kitco Gold Index data is a great tool to use when deciding to purchase precious metals - especially gold and silver. This app has some nice features that would compliment another coin value calculator app that I currently use - Cointicker Silver Coin Value Calculator.

Update (2/1/24): Happy to say, it appears the problem with the Kitco app has been fixed. App seems to be working properly at this time. Original: I have enjoyed this app quite a bit in the past, but it no longer works properly. Is there an ETA on when, or if, the historical data feature will resume providing information?

This is the closest thing to the old Kitco app that has been discontinued, so that is why I give it 3 stars. The app has a problem where none of the information is synced- the spot price on the notification bar is different from the price on the widget which is different from the last price in the chart. It used to be that the difference in the bid/ask price accounted for the difference, but this seems to get more inconguitius as time goes on. I should not be looking at a .43 spread in silver.

Update: The issue has been fixed and I upped my 4 stars to 5! Thanks for fixing the problem! Original: It's been 5 stars for years but in just the past 2 weeks I am no longer able to view charts for anything! I've been using the app for more than 3 or 4 years with no issues, I've tried rotating my screen to deleting and reinstalling, and nothing has worked. Frustrating!

No charts displayed for the last month --edit-- After weeks of using alternative platforms it seems redundant to reinstall this, nonetheless I have used it where applicable. However, other free platforms offer more versatile and complex data. The only thing that is genuinely of use, which other platforms do not have is the three day chart. That chart is useful, however the ads are quite obnoxious and unnecessary from a company like Kitco, other developers with less funding have fewer or no ads.

Controls are very finicky when looking at charts. Just closes the chart many times I'm just trying to move it or change zoom. That wouldn't be so bad if it actually saved your starred time scales instead of having to reselect them every time I am forced to reopen the charts. Would be nice to have the trend line and other tools. A dark theme toggle would also be nice. You're website version is amazing though, so I'll stick to your website until this has better functionality.
