Tired of the games where you have to play 24x7x365 just not to feel like a loser? Godville is the answer! In this game you are god, and all you need to do is to create your own hero so he will do all these boring things you had to do in the other games. He will fight monsters, collect loot, earn gold, etc, leaving you to enjoy the only thing that matters in any game - lean back and have fun.
Godville is a zero-player game (ZPG), parodying everything from "typical" MMO games with their tedious level ups, to internet memes and ordinary day to day things. The game might look strange at first sight, but don't hurry to neglect it right away. Take a look on your hero for a couple days, look around and you won't regret! There is whole game world in Godville and it’s continuously evolved based on ideas and suggestions from the community of players.
Godville can also be played in the browser (http://godvillegame.com) and on Apple iPhone/iPad.

Great respect to the developers. Unique, well laid out, thought out, doesn't require a lot of in ap purchases. The game doesn't have much in terms of actually playing it (game plays itself in the background as well), you mostly just read what silly thing your champion does, and silly/funny things they write down in their diary/log, although you unlock more actual interactions with time. For what it is though, this game is amazing, 10/10, but probably not to everyone's liking.

Great app for ppl who are busy but want something to play during their 2-3min breaks. This game comes for free and you have absolutely no need to purchase anything to advance. The game plays on its own and you can either just check on it once every few days if you're busy or every other hour if you have more free time on hand. The puns are great, and I love it that admins allow users to submit suggestions. It might be a little boring in the beginning, but as you level up, more options gets unlocked, beginning with the ability to send your hero to the arena, which is like a PvP and you get to influence your hero (heal them and help them attack their opponents etc) but with variable results that may easily backfire on you. Of course, players can buy charges so that they can influence their heroes more, but you can also store up charges and go only when you have a few on hand. Charges aren't that hard to come by, esp once your temple is completed, so it's really absolutely FTP with no adds to boot. You can also go hands off and let your hero fight on their own. Once your temple is completed, you get to send your hero to dungeons. Personally, I find dungeons a lot more fun and less stressful than arenas, and are great for when I have more free time on hand and want a game to play where I need to actively engage. All in all, 5 stars for being the game that I didn't know I desperately needed.

I wanted to download more text rpg apps but stumbled upon Godville and got more hooked on checking up my hero more than doing the rpg itself. 1000/10

I don't think I've ever played a more entertaining game. It's amazing that I don't necessarily have to do anything for the story to progress, but if I ever decide to intervene it is worth it. The lore and inclusion of players' ideas is fantastic. No ads, great. Even when I'm not actively playing at the moment, I'm propably lost somewhere on GodWiki. In one sentence: this game is a godsend in times of coronavirus social distancing!

Amazing game for casuals. The community is welcoming (not without a few bad apples, however) and it's a good game without any commitment. You want to complete every achievement? You don't have to. It will eventually be completed, but much slower than if you had helped. The humour is outstanding and you can add some of your own humour if you'd like to as well. As long as it's appropriate, that is. It's confusing from the start but just click on everything.

I used to play this game a lot, and just downloaded it again years later. I think I understand why I didn't keep it. I don't want to pay money to encourage my hero 😒

As promised, uninstalled this unbalanced BS game. LOL. 👍 Update: Getting real close to uninstalling this unbalanced BS game. The game is geared towards evil characters in arena duels. The top 3 arena ranked players have the personalities of vicious, wicked and cruel. They cause massive amounts of damages in the first few rounds where your good-aligned character who should heal more can't keep up and the duel is over before you know it. 🙄

This game is honestly such a hidden gem. The dialogue is amazing and funny, and the community is so great. Definitely recommend. Also, no adds!

Not sure why my previous review got deleted after about 10 years, but all the same, this is the best non-graphical adventure game I ever played on Android. Do nothing, the hero advances. Participate, the hero advances. Note that if hero dies, they do not resurrect on their own, and dead heroes do not advance. Be there for them!

Simple, but kind of fun. Only thing I wish they'd add is some kind of dungeon or raid you can send your hero on with others heroes. Maybe a class system to let your hero define themselves a bit more for that.

The simplicity of it makes it super convenient to play wherever or whenever I want. I don't have to work or grind for nice equipment, so it's super satisfying to get good stuff at a steady rate. Highly recommend it! Edit: my opinion has since changed. I still love this game to death, but the price gouging on the recharge is ridiculous for such a low maintenance game. I used to like supporting the developers through purchasing the $4 22 charge pack but it has since jumped to $6 which is insane

Good BUT... The pet thing needs to change or be updated. Letting go of the pet at random is my only issue. I love this game and I don't have a lot of time to be able to get on as often as most so I missed the chance to cancel the pet renewal quest. Fix that or alter it a bit and I would totally give yall a 5 star

I absolutely adore this game!! The set up is easy, the game is entertaining af, and I love how they have a whole game lore you can look up through the godwiki. Even if it could be confusing, the game designers were BRILLIANT in making sure they had ideaboxes and editable wiki pages. Like. This game is the whole nine yards disguised as a parody. 👌💐perfection. I can see how some people might get upset about a perceived lack of things to do. It IS an idle game doe, so it's slow. Not bad at all.

Its a great "game" and i would love to give it 5 stars but i can no longer log in with my old account since I got a new phone. My character had already completed his golden temple and was halfway through building his arc and I feel like a terrible god for losing him. Try as i might, i cant get it back. that being said, its an afk game that i played for years and recommend.

I don't remember where exactly I read this, but it said that, at first, it's hard to stay at your personality level, but it gets easier the further you progress. I've determined that what actually happens is that, regardless of how far you're into the level, your progress decays at the same rate, it's just less obvious when you don't drop a level. You guys may not technically lying, but it's still a dick move. Otherwise, the game's alright. TBH, if you're not into MMOs, this game isn't for you.

I like this game because it doesn't take too much attention, but you can choose to check on your hero more often to help him progress faster. I've deleted and redownloaded a few times and been able to pick right back up where my guy left off. Its clever, funny in a goofy way, and easy to play. You can master commands to really own this game, or be like me and just see how close to the various milestones your character has come. Highly recommend this app for a low key phone game.

Awesome game! Though, definently add more options. I know the purpose of the game is to be a God without grinding to level up a character, but give us some godly options we dont have to do, but if we wanted to we could. Like "find weapons" or better equiptment. Maybe "force random encounter". Something fun. The game is awesome and the entries are hilarious but we need more features!!! If you're reading this to think about downloading it, I 100% recommend!!!!

I've has the game for a long time, I ended up having to create a new account after the first time, as I lost my old info. I overall love this game, and comeback occasionally to read through my heroes adventures, I just wish I could change the name again, I changed it about a year or two ago to something new bc of some stuff thay happened and now that I'm older and have different things in mind I wish I could change it again.

I started this game 4 years and a few devices ago. I suddenly remember about it recently and when I downloaded it again I was able to reconnect to my old account with my hero very much so leveled up. The areas, items, weapons, enemies, ect.. are just as quirky and funny as I remember. great as a passive entertainment/ time killer.
