Legit, how much work available will depend on your area/qualifications. Needed Improvements: Make it so that you can still do functions on the app if you have job offers to act on. It's annoying not being able to see what shifts we already have booked, see what days we've applied to shifts for, etc, because sometimes we really want to know that before we react to shift offers. Additionally, sometimes the app stalls and loads way too much even on a great connection. These updates would be great!

Overall the app has great potential, however the downside is the gig opportunities are slim and few for seekers in a big city such as Dallas. Clients can post opportunity within a 24hr window of clock-in, and being that you have to apply, and not accept gigs, it leaves room for uncertainty. It also allows clients to scout for and wait for a desired candidate in particular. If the candidate isn't available, there's a lot of last minute decisions to be made for everyone.

Awful experience!!! Stay away if you have severe weather or an emergency and can't make it they do not care or have any kind of understanding and to reinstate you have to submit form you have to print and send by certified mail? And then might get denied! Also jobs you apply for don't let you know until right before the shift starts if you hear anything at all! There are several other apps for gig work out there. Instawork absolutely one of the best! Shiftsmart too!

So a couple friends and myself use gigsmart and work the same job. So we complete the gigs and the requester ended up posting new gig shifts. My friend(who uses iPhone) can see the gig shifts posted on his phone but I for some reason cannot. I don't know if it's an android thing or something is wrong with the app but I'm unable to see gigs posted. Also there is no affective way to contact gigsmart, only by email. My location is off sometimes in the app, it says I'm in a different city!

I think it's a great foot on the door for a few fantastic companies However, I feel that there should be more time given to respond to a gig offer before you become uneligable to work the gig. Also, there are a very small amount of gigs that are within Milwaukie and SE Portland, OR. The app itself performs well with little to no glitches and excellent app/technical support

Start with the positive. This app has lots of different types of gigs and jobs you can apply for and get if lucky. But the negative part with this app is that they need to fix the bugs. It is SOOO SLOW first of all, and it keeps refreshing/reloading by itself automatically every 10 seconds while trying to search for gigs and jobs which I'm not sure why it keeps doing this. Hopefully you guys can fix these bugs, after you do I will change my rating to 5/5,

I've completed a few gigs and this app has really saved my azz when I needed funds ASAP. I would give it 5 stars if they didn't allow recruiters to notify you were hired just an hour or two before the job starts. I understand some people may be OK with that but there really needs to be a cutoff...or at the very least an option for such a thing...otherwise you get downgraded. I use public transit often so it isn't always realistic for me to get to a gig that quickly.

App functions slowly and refreshing itself at random times, causing me to rescroll through the same pages several times. And, I just recently learned that when I was transferring money I worked for into my bank account from a certain job, it was automatically set to Rapid transfer without my knowledge. I thought it was set for regular transfer (like it was with other jobs I'd done) and I ended up paying $11 altogether (due to the 3% transfer price) for them all. An hour's worth of work, almost.

Shift postings are not steadily available, but are usually good gigs. App is easy to use. Payment from hire is fast, usually in 24hrs. and it can be loaded instantly to debit card of your choosing for like 3% fee. So, $100 in minutes is $3, or free in 2-3 days. Basically like bluecrew, but better. Also background check is optional, not mandatory, but opens up more jobs when completed.

This app has definitely improved after lots of frustrated feedback I've sent from its early days. Now it wants to drain my battery with activity monitoring and keeping location background service running on my phone, rendering it once again useless. No, it doesn't need to run constantly in the background, especially while at work and unable to charge to compensate for greedy background apps. So I will again uninstall this app in favor of less resource-thirsty ones until it becomes useable again.

It's not really different than any of the dozens of other Gig Worker apps. Honestly, it doesn't even need to be an app - most apps don't. The profile creation is limited and you have to use their skill definitions (ex. I wanted to put in WordPress and the only option I could use was WordPress Designer). You can resume data but you have to type it in (or copy/paste). It would be a lot easier if they used the LinkedIn or Indeed work history import/apply. Also, there isn't an easy way to delete your profile. You have to contact them which is *very* bad form and why I am only giving it two stars.

applied for 2 shift gigs, and last night (after midnight) they showed up in applied for. Why did they disappear without any notifications that I wasn't offered or apparently even considered for!?? I'm struggling to maintain housing and am willing to drive all over town to pick up shifts doing anything. NOT A HELPFUL APP AT ALL! Along with the fact your browse options don't work at all they show zero jobs. But 2-3 jobs are listed above the browse option. No response at all from support!

Low, low, low quality work. Offer notifications are sporadic to nonexistent - I've missed accepted applications because of this. Yet, I get push notifications for unsuitable offers that I keep on having to reject. Most applications go unseen. Jobs are super far, even in another state. I've gotten exactly ONE placement that was great. One. I don't even remember the second. A complete waste of time. Uninstalled.

Great App to use. I was surprised by the response time I got from the help desk within the app. They do need to find a better system at getting the funds to the person who worked. Once the person has clocked out of the app we then have to wait for the establishment to actually pay us. I had to make a whole bunch of calls just to get in contact with the person who even has control of the app within the establishment. There needs to be someone there at all times( any manager) who can verify info!!

My first choice (besides Craigslist) when it comes to finding side gigs. It really depends on the requester (employer) wether you have a good experience or not, but as far as the app layout goes, I'm satisfied with it. My favorite thing about the app is that after you get paid from a gig, you have to transfer that money manually to a bank/card of your choice that you have on file. That way if your account is compromised for any reason, you won't miss out on the money made from you gig.

This app malfunctions all the time. The search button isn't always available. Another malfunction it has is when I try to upload my resume. It gives you the option to upload your resume from google drive. On that option when I click on google drive and then click on my resume it goes back to the previous page and wont allow me to upload my resume. It also goes back to the previous page sometimes when I type in my password to login to a my profile on other job boards through this app.

This will be a five star worthy app once the library of opportunities is expanded. I really like the app, it's easy to navigate, simple to understand, everything is where you think it would be without having too endlessly click, it has great capabilities that all sync up nicely, & there are indeed gigs open for hire. The only thing that needs improving, in my opinion, is the quantity of opportunities which I assume is only a matter of time before more offer's find their way into this platform.

Adding a new review-old one was 2021. I recently tried to see if there were more options available but the App got hung up on the allow locations screen. It kept going back to it even after I allowed my location to be shared. It never showed me the jobs boards. I had a bunch of notifications from the past--that I hadn't seen and no way to clear out the old stuff. So I uninstalled it again. Such a good premise--but way too clunky. Not user friendly. Couldn't even see if there were more jobs.

If I could give this app a lower star I would. After downloading it I began to fill out required info. Then, the app glitched, I deleted cookies. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing helped it kept glitching. I hope this tech issue is resolved soon. Also, when I put in my location it kept saying I was in Washington DC. I am not, I am almost 700 miles away. I could not change my location. How annoying. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Decent app as far as easy to navigate &understand. The job postings though are not all that grand. There are good postings but the companies seem to only stick with someone that has previously worked for them. You can sew a list of past workers and a trend that the companies only select those 2-3 people. I would recommend downloading but only if you live in a big city where they need more workers or the hiring selection is better.
