Was a fairly decent app, but the upload gifs feature hasn't worked for a couple of weeks now on the app or the website. Please fix. Edit: 2 months on and I still can't upload gifs. Not even if zi create a new account. Even via the website. I reported it to Tenor and they gave me a generic troubleshooting email. Tried all of it and nothing worked. Emailed them again and they've not responded

Logs me out every time I leave the app, captioning GIFs never works, the only 2 GIFs I made through the app disappeared into the ether, and the search function is useless. Will upload GIFs through the web interface, but this app is pointless, especially now you've removed share numbers. UPDATE: Downloaded to see if anything had changed, it hasn't, the app is still pointless. Why does the Apple version get all the bells and whistles while the Android one can't even do the basics.

I think this is fun, however, it is called gif keyboard and does not function as such on my device. I got this app by recommendation by someone who uses it as a keyboard, and when I downloaded it no such option occurred for me. That does limit my ability to use the app. Very frustrating. That being said, this app does provide access to a better selection of gifs and more ways to use them. Cool app. Making gifs option does not trim from screen grabs.

Okay, so since Dec 1 2023 till Jan 2024, Tenor website becomes more and more worsen than before. First, the memes and stickers UI with overlapped media thumbnails (They still didn't fix it). Second, Notifications is sometimes unusable (just "Upload GIFs, and you’ll get notifications when people share or favorite them" and nothing else). Third, Favorites is mostly gone blank and I can't even add my new favs. Sometimes I can only view my favs just for a few seconds then it goes "No Results".

I might consider your app to be better than garbage if only it would let me sign in. It doesn't offer me an option to sign in with a password and a username, and when I pick Google sign in, it tells me that I've signed in successfully, but stays on the login screen. TBH, that's a special kind of screw up. I understand that customers always whine and complain, but when you boast about your product and they can't even get through the front door... That's definitely Special...Education

Back button takes you to the top of search results. The back button should take you back to where you were before looking at a gif, at the moment you then need to scroll down through the results again, repeatedly. For an app owned by Google the search function is garbage. When I search for for a term, I want results for that term, not for misspellings, approximations, it stuff Tenor thinks are tangentially related. Give me just what I want and stop trying to curate this with your suggestions.

App suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I used to be able to open the app and upload/tag gifs as required but now I can't do it. Needed file search function for uploading too, but I gave it a pass. Now I can't do anything so not happy. Also hearing about the loss of the keyboard extension also really upsetting. Please fix these issues.

Does not work at all. Cant copy or paste the gifs from the app. Cant transfer them in any way.. whats the point of having an app to simply view gifs. Uninstall.

This app was pretty cool, and then they took away the keyboard extension, forcing me to go to the app to look for a gif. The best part about this app was the fact that I could use it from my keyboard. Now, I've un-installed the app because of that.

Stopped working because I didn't link my old account with my Google account back in 2022. Like many others, I never received the email about it that they supposedly sent out to everyone. Doesn't matter now because they refuse to fix it or help anyone for some reason, which defies logic. Shame on you, Tenor. I guess they just don't want to keep users. Maybe they're trying to fizzle themselves out.

Edit: 7/5/2024 Google Log in Seems to have been fixed - But you still have to do it every time you open the app 😅 - Dubious and weird design choice. Otherwise everything is OKAY'ISH. Clunky amd buggy still, but now functional. Feature to rename gif packs would be wonderful - currently if you want to rename a pack, you have to create a new one and manually move everything into it - one by one 💀

The "Caption" feature simply stopped working a few months ago. After adding a caption, it either freezes on the "Next" command, or it procedes to the "Send" command but simply eliminates my caption. Either way it is no longer possible to personalize a GIF with a caption. Also many GIFs will send to recipient as a video with "Play" button. Kinda sucks. Also if you select an image, it used to then allow you to open "Related GIFs," but this feature also seems to have no effect now. PLEASE FIX IT!

Good app but I just got a new phone and was so sad to find that the gifs do not transfer, even if you log into the same account on both devices. Also if you uninstall and reinstall the app, you lose all your saved gifs. I lost years of saved gifs. I've decided transfer my uploaded gifs to Giphy and make that my primary gif keyboard, so I don't have to worry about this again. They retain all your stuff across devices, which is a much better experience.

The app has become a waste of space. Gifs no longer send as gifs but, instead, just a still image. When you try to add caption, it will 95% of the time present an error message "Could not connect to internet. Please try again later" (nevermind the fact that, 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after, I could be streaming Netflix just fine). Literal hours wasted trying to send a simple gif. Will be deleting app and finding a better one.

Grainy but Great I have been on this app for a few years. I haven't made an account until recently, but during my entire time. Interacting with this app, i've realized that the quality of a lot of gifs are extremely poor. If it is a regular picture, the quality is higher than if it has any moving elements to it. I have also updated the app and it does not show the most recent upgrade.
