Edit: RIGHT AFTER I MADE THIS REVIEW, BEING PISSY... It suddenly works. Overall, the app works as intended - gets you to places... There is still, imo, a problem: the default pickup location is "the most popular pickup place". I can't seem to make the default go away and triangulate to my actual location.

Right after installation and registering the said it's unusual activity in my account and refused to work anymore. Garbage. Update: After 3 years, in 2024 I installed it once again in Israel. Right after first open it show 'Error' (yes, just that) and that's it. Unusable. Still garbage.

I would love to use this app and the taxis that are part of it. But every time I try to book the 10 minute journey back to my flat, I'm waiting 25-30 minutes while it searches for a driver, only to have cabbies left right and centre refuse my job because they can only take the competitive city center jobs. Something has to change. It's no wonder that Uber is cornering the market when I'm forced to turn their way to get home.

The app gets stuck while search is on. Had to close the app. Then the app wouldn't open at all had to uninstall and install many times. Has many problems. Was waiting for cab ordered by the company. It was so frustrating to wait for app to stabilise in the middle of nowhere at midnight. So dangerous. I couldn't find any alternative.

The estimate and actual price are completely unrelated - I was estimated £19-25 for a pre-booked ride, on the journey we faced very little traffic or delays and my final bill was £36!! Based on the estimate it should have been £20/21 I don't see the point of this app if the estimates are going to be so ludicrously wrong

In general the app is functional and fulfills its purpose. There are a few problems: A. Every time I open the app it goes to a technical specs page and doesn't enter the interface itself. I then need to try and manually return to the user interface and that does not always happen and I'm stuck not able to use the app. B. When ordering a taxi in advance, a confirmation is received but it is pendant. What can happen is that the pickup time is reached but no cab arrives (& cancelling is at a cost).

Works well but inconsistent billing. I've only used it a couple of times and got taxis without a problem but the meter reading on the final bill and the actual meter reading were way off, they just charge whatever they feel like. Edit. I contacted gett as requested and unsurprisingly they were off no help at all, fobbed off with a knee jerk excuse instead of any investigation of any sort. Can't say I'm surprised unfortunately.

I used this in London. There are usually plenty of drivers available, which is definitely one up on other apps. They don't cancel randomly and turn up reliably, which is definitely better than the execrable Freenow. The downside of this app is thr high demand fees, which are exhorbitant. On more than one occasion over been charged a high demand fee which was larger than the fare. These fees make fares ludicrously high and definitely means I use the app less - it feels like gouging.

Poor fault management: 1. A business ride was booked in advance. the driver couldn't make the ride (late by 35+ minutes). Neither me nor him could cancel the ride until and I couldn't order a replacement. 2. I ended up ordering a replacement via airport service. Apparently it couldn't be paid from business account and I had to create a personal accout. 3. Support call: nobody answered for 20+ min. 3. App spontaneously attempted to call replacment after way after I left and charge twice!!

I took a star off for the driver not knowing what destination he was meant to go to, another Star removed for the driver charging me £10 more due to his mistake, and a final star removed for their lack of customer service when dealing with this issue. They " conveniently" cannot get hold of the driver to confirm what happened. Been waiting 3 days for them to get back to me. All the can do is offer me a £5 coupon to use within the next 30 day. No thank you, I just want my money back.

App that gets worse with the time. There is a broken address detection system; multiple, irrelevant and repetitive messages that interfere with ordering and waiting for the ordered car; no possibility to contact the support. Alternatives are much better. Edit 2024: it seemed impossible, but it got worse. Terrible detection of current address. No recognition of previously used addresses. UX is aimed at people using an application ones a year.

Service is totally useless. It can take 5 minutes or more to get connected with a driver and even then the driver is more likely to cancel than actually show up. Customer service chat is just as bad. I was in NY by the time they answered my question about excess luggage.

Terrible! I was randomly charged to my credit card a few times,when I did not order any taxi,and was even charged once a few weeks after having deleted the app. In plain English, evidently your cc info is not secure, or gett can not be trusted. That's besides the fact that the drivers often take extra long routes for rides that are charged by the meter!!

Horrible customer service, took over an hour to get one question answered via their help chat. Very much considering deleting the app altogether after that experience, especially since it was a Gett Delivery that has completely "disappeared" from their system and they wouldnt help me find out the details (not a cheap item either, they just don't care apparently)

I kept getting error messages and was unable to use the app. After emailing customer support, my account was unlocked after 24 hours and then the app worked. it would be great if customer support was reachable by phone or chat rather than waiting for an email response. the taxi driver had a way to call someone at Gett but they still couldn't help.

Too many hidden fees. On top of the quoted fare, I was charged a fetching fee, a wait fee (which never occurred), and a baggage fee. The baggage fee I can understand, but the fetching and waiting fee seems strange. On top of that, the tip percentage is set ahead of time, so to add insult, I also paid a tip on the hidden fees. You're better off just hailing a taxi which is more prevalent than Gett taxi drivers. Not sure if a dishonest driver was able to game the system or the app is buggy.

It turns out that a driver can just cancel a ride after 3 minutes and then charge you. Then they make you call the hotline to get a refund. This is easy to miss as the time for arriving can shift wildly and they don't need to be in the exact pickup area so we missed him. Two stars because gett could make this interface reasonable with a countdown to cancelation etc.

This service is unreliable and extremely slow. If you plan on ordering a Gett during busier hours -- just don't. The app says the average time to find a ride is 1 min. My experience is usually 15 min if I dont give up and decide to walk. Also , when me and my friends use the app together we've seen that the map is completely inaccurate. I see 10s of Gett cars on the map while they see none at all. Please add multiple stops! This is a basic feature :/ Please get more drivers and fix bugs!!

Most of the time this app is great. Recently we had a bad experience. We ordered a taxi and stood outside waiting and the taxi did not show up. They charged us for a cancelation fee. This happened twice. We tried to contact the app through the customer care on the app several times but no response. I am now disputing the charges through my credit card company. It's only $2.80 x 2 charges but how many times do they get away with this and it's not disputed?

The first time I used this app, I got into the wrong cab and then cancelled my order as soon as I had realized my error. The time from ordering to cancel was just over 2 minutes. Gett charged me £7.00 for cancelling! Very unforgiving app. Also, Gett said that due to high volume, it would charge an extra fee, estimating the total fare to be £48-56. Our actual (and accidental) cab only charged me £22. The best accident I made all day. Not a good look for Gett, and I won't use this app again.
