The app adapts to your bike type, speed, and preferred route type. Geovelo prioritizes bike lanes, cycle paths, and low-traffic roads for your comfort, safety, and peace of mind. Geovelo includes real-time guidance with map, full-screen, and compass modes, along with voice guidance and notifications.
• STATISTICS & AUTOMATIC RECORDING
Simply ride with the Geovelo app installed, and your journeys are automatically detected and recorded. You can review them within the app. Please note that you'll need to grant location access when the app is closed or in the background for this feature to work.

It's a very nice app, the design is pretty simple, which is cool, everything work perfectly for me, though I'd like to be able to know what's my maximum speed on each ride.

Loved the saved places and different route options but it stops navigating suddenly so often that I had to shift to Google maps in the middle of the way. And no offline maps option.

Very good app overall, just a few things to improve : - not every spots are findable (from what i've tried mainly moutain peaks) - elevation is not very accurate : the gain is ≈2x higher than on other apps

Got the app for the statistics but the only thing I could find is distance and average speed, no elevation data, max speed, speed on a segment of track or anything precise like that.

I really like the app but I can't use the app if I don't enable "allow all the time" for the location, which shouldn't be the case, I don't want automatic detection and see no reason why I should have the setting enabled to just use the app…

It has speech assistant which helps but takes you on the longest route like a car goes down, roads. Doesn't have cycle routes at all. Needs a load of work on it and the writing is really small and hard to read when in bicycle.

I just downloaded the app on an android Samsung 6. none of the ways to create an account are functioning. Returns an unknown error on validation. iIts a pity because the app looks great. Let me know when the bug is fixed because if love to use it to it's full capabilities.

Having trouble with updating my location. Also the app doesn't save my trips anymore, after showing the statistics the trip cannot be found. Or sometimes I start recording and in the end of the trip I see that it recorded only a few minutes...

I cant give it a 5 because of the bugs I experience since the last update. Basically the app does not follow me anymore. The cursor moves but the screen is locked on my original position which makes the app, unfortunately, useless. Is that a bug you are aware of? I'm using a honor 6x.

This app provides some of the best routes out there, but the search could use some work. It doesn't seem to take my location into account for certain things. Like if I type Lowe's it comes up with European results until I start typing my city afterwards. Otherwise, it's a very good app.

We had a biking trip planned to France through a biking agency. We traveled to the Champagne region and Alsace. We biked for a total of 7 days through very remote areas through cornfields and vineyards. Unfortunately, the biking agency app was horrible. Never guiding us back on course if we veered off course. Day one was a disaster. Fortunately, before we left we uploaded your app as a back up. You saved our vacation! Never let us down!!! Thank you. Best Bike App ever !

Interface and screen layout great. Let down by it stopping recording on a cycle for no reason, doesn't track my route all the time and after finishing a cycle it doesn't record the route. With a bit of development it could be great. Unfortunately there are better cycle apps out there so I won't continue to use.

Thanks to the devs for fixing the permissions : manually recording a ride no longer requires excessive permissions! ----- Original comment: Useless, the app refuses to start an itinerary if the background location permission is not granted. I refuse to grant this permission, even more so to an app which states that "location data may be shared with third parties"

I didn't use it for long, honestly I just used it once, as I was just thinking "hey it'd be a good idea to make an app which displays bike parkings" and honestly it was delightful to see there was one already, and I just have one remark for the devs : I think you have to zoom in too much to display the bike parking icons, maybe add an option related to that. Adding an option to download the map for an area (even if it's by city) would also be great it'be perfect from my perspective as a new user

Lots of potential. Positives: Navigation is nice, knows all the bike lanes. Stats are nice for nerds like me. It's nice to try something different than google maps for a change. Negatives: Very slow refresh of your position which often results in you thinking you took a wrong turn, recalculating takes forever. Unnecessary turns. Not totally the app's fault but I crashed because where I was didn't match with what was on my screen, so after looking for too long at my screen I tripped and fell.

Nice app, some suggestions for improvement: - to access recorded tracks, have to tap user name, could be more intuitive with owb menu item - avg speed is shown when track recording ends, but not accessible any more later - option to choose storage place, e.g. external memory card would be nice. I ran out of space and track was not saved without notice - no option to delete or annotate recorded tracks

It's a mixed bag. The maps are nicely rendered and updated often, the feedback options are useful. However, when there's no clearly mapped bike route, it simply fails instead of trying smaller residential streets and maybe telling you, look, it's not a bike path but here's the best I found, let me know how you liked the route.

It's a nice free app that does the job of finding cycling paths, I think it suggests better options than Google maps. But it cannot handle well when you differ from suggested paths, it will keep trying to make you u-turn for kilometers rather than adapting to the new path. Very annoying when there are roadblocks the app doesn't know about. Also it plays with the screen lightness settings, but it a very bad way. It dims everything so much I can barely see the screen when riding
