It's finally working as it should, after a long period of struggles... However it still isn't optimized well; at 120 Hz refresh rate the action isn't as smooth as at 60 Hz. No big deal, but it should be nice if it was fixed.

I can't believe this emulator actually good. Enable to record gameplay with my screen recorder. Bit laggy at first though but not much. Meanwhile other MD emulator cannot be recorded. It will be nice if i can resize the screen too for landscape mode to avoid overlap with buttons. And please fix the auto rotation.

[Edit] It is possible to cheat using Game Genie codes, if the rom is present and the Settings option is chosen. Touch input when entering codes is spotty, but is better in game. Go Figure. Cheat implementation is ridiculous - you have to download a file, which is suspicious. I prefer to enter codes by hand, but this app does not allow that. [CONCLUSION] Extra star for the gg rom option, but the input issue needs to be fixed.

There is no way to set up Gamepad controls. I keep trying to do so, but there is no way to confirm changes. I tried to map the controls to my gamepad, but the only way out of the menu is the backspace key, which cancels your changes. There is no way to confirm changes. Please fix that, because I do not want to have to use the touch screen.

The main problem is the landscape mode is upside down so if you have a gamepad controller that has type c usb that is on the left side this emulaor is useless because the picture will be upside down so of course you can't play it. They need to fix and it will go from a one star to at least a four. Until they fix it I have no choice but to find another emulator.

Why oh why can't I use my bluetooth controller in this version? The problem lies in the buttons mapping. I can't unmap or deregister my controller for the player 2, 3, 4 and that means everything I map for the 1st player goes all the way to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th players controller as well! In short, they cancel eachother out and can't use my controller! I refuse to use the touchscreen button for any retro games and until you guys fixed it, I won't up the stars.

This is the BEST genesis emulator you can find. As a guy who have a phone that ONLY hold 2gb. This is helpfull. You can put this app to your memory card. And it reads memory cards too. So just put your genesis roms in the sd card. And BOOM! your playing sonic now. But one major problem. The design sucks. If you leave the app for a sec them came back. The whole app restarts. Its a mega annoyance. But overall. Cool emulator.

This is great for a free app. No annoying ads either. Had a few crashes, but overall it runs very well. Touch screen controls are good and I love the fact you can add a controller. As other reviews have mentioned, it may not be the most intuitive app to use. For a free app though, I'm willing to forgive it being a little rough round the edges.

Almost flawless. Emulation is great, customisable touch control, bluetooth controller compatible, save states, shaders (if you really want them). Only issue I've had is a couple of load state crashes which has lost me my progress on a couple of games, which was frustrating. Otherwise it's a great emulator. The only thing I could suggest is being able to adjust the speed of the fast forward and rewind. Personally I'd prefer a slightly slower fast forward but that's really not a big deal.

Just installed it today, and I'm impressed with the emulation quality so far. Only complaints are that it's nearly impossible to push two buttons at the same time with one finger while using touch screen controls, and I wish I could rotate the screen in any direction to use the app so that my headphone jack doesn't get in my way.

Can't configure controller input? The option is in the menu, but it doesn't actually work. Forced to use the default option which is set up very strange, the c button is mapped to one of the shoulder buttons by default. No easy fast forward button either because of this as well. Also just realized my save states are no longer working.. time to move on to another emulator.

it's actually a great emulator, it's not that bad. It emulates the games well, BUT for some reason I can't play any if the games with a Bluetooth controller. everytime I try playing any of the games with a Bluetooth controller it'll exit me out the game, only whenever I press the buttons. (not the d pad). Great app, just needs a little fix.

The game roms loaded up and looked good. Yet, I was still unable to play due to a major game glitch. No matter where I touched the screen. It would only pause. This happened with all of the game on all of the setting configurations. I know that the roms were not corrupt. My game rom's play perfectly on another emulator. That being said.. GENPlusDroid has alot of potential.. There just needs to be some UI improvements.

App is great except for one annoying flaw unless I'm blind. I hit the back button on my Galaxy Tablet.... looked all over the screen while trying out Altered Beast, there's no way to just exit a game w/o closing the ENTIRE APP. Edit: lol 5 years later (5* now instead of 2), it works fine on my Moto G6. Just 1 suggestion, if u can make it autohide the touch screen controls if there's a controller connected so we don't have to keep going in the menu to turn that on or off or on or off...

I love this app and it works great with my Xbox one controller. I would give it 5 stars but the problem I have with it is that when I connect another Xbox one controller it detects it just fine and I can get it setup but once in the game the second player controller doesn't work. I am not sure if there is something else I need to do or what but it is kind of annoying because I want to be able to play 2 player games with my brother but can't. Please fix it.

10/10 best emulator I've ever used. No ads, no lag, no messing around. Only complaints are 1: when leaving the game screen (loading roms, going to main menu, going to settings, etc) you come back to a black screen. The game still runs and controls still function, but you can't see anything. 2: there's no ability to switch to players 2, 3, or 4. This is really an issue with games like the Sonic 2 prototypes where you need player 2 (Tails) to go past sections that automatically trigger a crash.

The problem is the backup/restore process don't seem to work. Backed up saved data or saved game progress to a cloud, etc. Did a factory reset to phone but the emulator apparently is unable to read or recognize the saved data files when selecting "Load state" forcing me to start the game over. Though I fixed the Saves and States path in settings, the emulator still doesn't appear to recognize or read the saved data. Otherwise, this emulator is good.
