More About GBA.emu (GBA Emulator)

Advanced open-source Gameboy Advance emulator based on VBA-M with a minimalist UI and a focus on low audio/video latency, supporting a wide variety of devices from the original Xperia Play to modern devices like the Nvidia Shield and Pixel phones.
Features include:
* High-level BIOS emulation, no BIOS file needed
* Supports the .gba file format, optionally compressed with ZIP, RAR, or 7Z
* Cheat code support using VBA-M-compatible files (.clt extension), don't use any "Master" codes since they aren't needed
* Supports hardware accelerometer, gyroscope, and light sensors
* Configurable on-screen controls
* Bluetooth/USB gamepad & keyboard support compatible with any HID device recognized by the OS like Xbox and PS4 controllers

The bike racing game Motocross Challenge is included courtesy of developer David Doucet. No other ROMs are included with this app and must be supplied by the user. It supports Android's storage access framework for opening files on both internal and external storage (SD cards, USB drives, etc.)

would have been 5 stars but it repeatedly would crash... kinda dissapointed as it seemed to work well outside of the crashes. for those wondering, it was crashing on pokemon emerald

All the emulators by this dev are the best emulatora available for Android for their respective systems. If you want the most options and best performance, these emulators are where it's at.

As others have mentioned, since the last update touching fast forward toggle causes the touch screen controls to show up regardless of settings.

Although this runs most GBA roms (including hacked roms such as the PC port of Doom), it lacks "scale 4x" video mode (which most competing GBA emulators offer on Android).

Good Emulator, it's not as great as the My Boy! Emulator. But, it's version compatible on my Android TV. So, that's useful. (you just have to change App Zoom to 95%)

Not as good as it used to be, at least for me on my Nokia 6.1. It's subtile but performances decrease and games don't run as smooth as before. Uninstalled in favor of version 1.5.38 which runs great.

I love having the ability to change the speed up multiplier from 2x to 7x. Save states are easy to change between and I've never had any issues.

GBA.emu is one of a suite of .emu emulators by this developer. They are all extremely well made, always use the latest and most accurate emulation cores, and have the best options for input and playing on the phone. This is absolutely worth your while if you want to emulate GBA games on your mobile device.

This is by far the best GBA emulator available for Android, period. Don't mind the haters. Battery saves (.sav) work perfectly, even when using then with other emulators. It also reads .sav files from other emulators. I use VGBA on my computer and this one on the go and i assure you this works 100%. Also, you can customize the GUI a lot, the size and position of the buttons, the display, etc... I use other emulators by this developer and all of them share these features and this quality.

Don't let the interface fool you, this is an excellent emulator all the emulators by this developer are incredible and worth buying. They have incredibly low input delay and great features. I use this one, as well as many of their others. Thank you!

I've tried a bunch of GBA emulators, and this one, while not perfect, overall is the best one for me. There's some light stutters, but the sound quality is excellent. Also I contacted the dev with a performance issue I had with a new update, and it got fixed within a week. Highly recommended

Probably the best GBA on here but unfortunately missing vital features for my taste 1. I like to be able easily move the screen position and/or size 2. I like to be able to control the opacity of onscreen buttons so I can make them just about visible, that way they can even overlap the screen without much distraction 3. I like to be able to position my A/B buttons separately or atleast be able to switch their positions

Great emulator. Currently switched do it because I noticed it had FAR less input lag than MyBoy did. The only feature I wish it had was to select my Load State prompts. I don't want to confirm them every time, I just want to press a button and there I am in my last savestate. If you could implement that it would make me happy. Will be using this for the time being though. Thank you.

the app is fantastic but it lacks 1 important feature.. If you're able to add an option to include Local or Wifi Multiplayer Support via Link Cable, then the app is 100% Perfect! I hope you'll be able to add it in the future

Loving the app, but struggling with cheat codes. Playing Pokemon Emerald currently and I'm trying to spawn an Eevee in my inventory. Can anyone help? (I'm very inexperienced)

The interface and performance are incredible. I have bought several apps from this guy and they all are great. I had an issue for a bit and contacted the guy about it. He spent all day going back and forth with me until the problem was solved. Now I can go back to using my favorite app. By far my favorite gba emulator!

The recent update shows touch controls when holding down the fast forward button. The touch controls are turned off in setting but they start showing up after this update when the fast forward button is pressed. This is very annoying and this was not happening prior to the May 21, 2023 update. This is affecting all the emulators by this author including nes.emu, snes emulator and gbc.emu. I use a controller and do not wish to see the touch controls.

Runs very well, switched to this emulator from myBoy! Since the Pixel 7 won't run 32-Bit applications (I loved that emulator). This is a great replacement, I have no issues and applaud the developer's efforts. No latency issues so far, very easy to set up my 8Bit Do SN30 pro+, clean appearance, straightforward setting. Bravo.

Pizza boy is cool because it has multiplayer support but the this app is much cleaner and more robust. It probably has less input lag than pizza boy (hard to say for sure). It also doesn't have a very big problem that pizza boy has: in pizza boy, if you use a USB controller, and brush your finger against the screen, the game flashes the onscreen controls and drops all your inputs, it happens frequently and is very annoying. All of Broglia's Emulators are great, so get this one.

I have a device that runs ps2 and 3ds emulators. This emu drops frames even when I try every possible permutation of settings. I've read the documentation and fiddled with every possible setting. I've been told this happens to other people too. It seems that the dev has tried to maintain more emulators and adapt more new ones to android than 1 person reasonably can do. Don't waste your money unless you see this get fixed in the patch notes.
