I love this app! I had no idea I would be hooked by day one. I've been playing it every night before bed and I'm not lying when I say it's addictive. It's great to play when you want to kill time. You always get rewards and there's goals you can always do which really keeps the app active and not boring. Another winning point is they always update the games and show improvements when there's bugs. Overall, this is great app and I highlight recommend!

This game is overcrowded, overambitious, and bewildering. I have no idea what the story is anymore, it's just collections, mini-games, multiple check-ins, and dozens of pointless events that one can't possibly keep up. The characters are all the same just with different outfits. It's as if the creators have no faith in their own game that they keep flashing distractions everywhere. Time gets sucked up and I have no idea what I just spent it on. Overall, not worth the phone space!

Graphics are gorgeous and there seems to be a lot to do... But it just feels like confusing busywork that leads to a whole lot of nothing. The game seems a little on the misogynistic side, especially since the choice of being a woman seems like a veneer when half the game still refers to you as a man. Also not fond of the fact that extras are needed for completing certain quests and it seems like the VIP players are the only ones who ever win at anything. Guess it's just not my style of game.

the ads make it seem more story driven but it's not. while theres a lot to do, its all very repetitive. it's another game with the 'VIP' feature and a lot of the items are for sale. in order to get anywhere, you either need to spend money or grind. the community isn't toxic per se, but there are a lot of young users. there are also a ton of bots. overall, the experience is what you make of it. its addictive if you're competitive or a completionist, otherwise its very tedious and boring.

I enjoy playing. And yes it does become costly. Especially if you want to level up. But overall the graphics are good and they do fix the bugs and do listen to the customers about certain issues. Somethings I wish they could shorten just a little but over all it's a good game to play. Definitely time consuming lol which is a good thing. Lots to do.

I do really enjoy this game! The graphics are great, the gameplay is engaging. Just don't understand why the special viziers take SO MANY badges which make them so impossible to attain!! I've been playing a LONG time & am not even close to getting any of them! Doesn't help at all that it's always the same players getting the top spots in any special event or that get any top rankings. Sometimes it almost seems like a popularity contest!! Sucks for those of us they can't drop real money to play!

Everything was going great and then I hit two big obstacles. There are two quests that are frustrating because of how long they take to charge. One is divination which needs 24 hours to reload on the server another is raising heirs. These really stop the gameplay in its tracks. I want to play a game, I don't want to play a waiting game. Besides that the game is fun, addictive and straightforward. There is no way to play as a woman, so they should stop advertising that aspect.

I'm a master sultan II with 18mil grain and nothing to do with it. Would be nice if they implemented something to use the grain on. LOVE the characters and the subtle animation. The art is amazing. Would be nice if there were more options for heirs though (a more diverse number of heir character skins/sprites/whatever you want to call them). It's an all over great game and I absolutely LOVE it.

Was an amazing game with a lot of play options. It became pay to win and is immensely disappointing. Expect to pay $50-$150 just to unlock basic auto functions needed to compete in the rotating events, or spend hours pressing the same button over and over to just visit heirs. The game had so much potential. And yes, several of us warned the developers about this for months and they only made it worse.

I found this game to be repetitive and chauvinistic. It becomes impossible to keep up with people who pay heartily to advance, and ranking determines a great deal of the rewards. The whole consort system, while I get the "historical" aspect of things, is really off-putting for me as a modern woman. The "combat" systems are just a matter of having enough numbers, or making the right guesses. Little to no skill or challenge at all. There are some really nice people who play, so it's not all bad

It's fun but the advertising for this game is extremely false. Basically nothing in the ads is in the game. That said it is a fun game I would recommend. My other complaint is that it freezes pretty often. Not a full freeze, just I'll be trying to do something and it needs a minute to load. It's very annoying. Otherwise it's fun, the people are designed beautifully and the server chat is generally pretty chill

Fun game, addictive, money pit. It's a lot of clicking. If you spend enough money you unlock access to auto clicks which is ways to not have to click as much. Example when you go to masquerade instead of clicking & waiting each time, once you spend enough money you can just masquerade all and you're done in less than half the time. But each section requires a certain amount spent in order to achieve this. Spending the money does come with other perks as well but definitely not worth the cost.

At first, it's pretty interesting. But the whole game basically focuses on earning stuff and leveling up. What I found immensely disappointing is that I downloaded due to an ad I saw on Facebook. Definitely false ad. It showed there that this game was like a "Choose your own adventure" kind of game where I can get to decide how characters respond to a given situation. However, this game is NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THAT! NO CHOICES AT ALL. I couldn't even choose which consorts to court. The game just randomly gives you viziers and consorts that you didn't choose. I also wouldn't say that it's a strategy game because you can win a battle just by developing your viziers to higher levels or just by having a higher number of troops. You just press attack and it shows either you won or lost. I would think a strategy game should be where a player actually chooses where to place the troops in order to win a battle. Definitely FALSE ADVERTISING! I gave it one star because I somehow had fun marrying off the children in the game. That was it.

It's an alright game. Simple and easy to do things, which gets boring. I was getting tons of ads on this and thought it was a story telling game, only to find out just how misleading the ads really are. There's no story telling and the only time you choose between things is during the Imperial Duties where you pick between getting a small amount of exp or picking levy items or books. Imagine a browser based text game in app form, and that's basically this game. That being said, not keeping this.

Great concept that falls miles short of its potential. The biggest problem is the excruciatingly slow pace, which is compounded by needing to constantly collect resources. Another big issue is a near total lack of in game documentation. The learning curve is obscene and you can expect to spend as much time googling the how/what/who of the game as you do playing it. That said, the huge number of features in the game and its semi-unique concept are what make the game worthwhile. Made in China.

Not what was advertised. Just another empire building simulator & constantly pressing buttons. Still decided to play the game, but was very disappointed by the extreme pay to win system. Made it all the way to Grand Sultan with no purchases, which takes forever without paying. Now, it needs a ton of space to update & you can't play the app without an update. To add insult to injury, I was the leader of my Union, which is something I'm sure I've lost by now not getting to play. Very disappointing

Updating my review. I've been playing for 4+ years now. It's was a fun game, truly. But it's starting to change over to pay for basic functions that should be standard and available to all players. Each vip level has its own special features it unlocks, but now there are features separate from that which need to be purchased MONTHLY in order to be used. There are new points in the game which require an exorbitant amount of in game currency or real life money to play. Ridiculous.

I played this game before it became an ad spam fest on YouTube. I liked it, but got bored quickly and decided to uninstall it as it was a very repetitive game for not a lot of rewards. However, I'm downloading it again just so I can post this review. STOP the false advertising it like it's some sort of story driven ruler game, it is not, it is no where near what the ads make it look like. I'd love to play the game in the ads, this is not it.

Having figured out the PvP seals, thought I'd change my rating! Absolutely love this game, but all of a sudden for the passed few days it wont load!! Just keeps giving me a solid black screen!! Going to attempt an update, then uninstalling and reinstalling to see if either of those fix the issue. If they don't, it's gonna have to be time to uninstall and save some storage space I guess! Edit: Update not needed, uninstall and reinstall worked for about 2 seconds. Kept getting a servet ID error, closed the game, went to open it back up and try again, black screen. So, see ya GoS, it's been fun, but I'm not fighting to play a game every other day! And after seeing responses on the other reviews, the developers don't seem to care anyway. Fyi: To anybody interested in a similar game, Ottomans is a great choice!!

Game is going downhill. They have added a bunch of extra things to this game that seem irrelevant to the original game plot. Too much sparkle and flashy graphics that don't go away. I turned something off in settings and it doesn't get rid of it. All of this makes makes being in game overwhelming, confusing, less interesting, and annoying. They have taken away good side games.
