I have the free version. I love it for what it is, it's great at fulfilling its purpose. It's the best & most dependable of its kind. *I wish it would get info from more apps *I wish I could save searches (receive notifications for items recently searched) *photos take extremely too long to show up, so much so that I get frustrated & close the app.

Thought the app was free! You have to give debit/credit info in order to register. Then, ONLY THE FIRST 3 DAYS ARE FREE! After that you get charged $39.95 every month. If you decide you don't like the app upon registering, you MUST cancel within 3 days or u will get charged for the first month. That's some B.S.!! It's not a free app, and I don't know how Google lets u get away with advertising that it is.

I absolutely LOVE this app!!! It tells you about anything listed for "free" on Craigslist, offer up, trash nothing & market place. This means you can find just about anything! I've had the nicest experiences, met some truly wonderfully good hearted people & have g otten some fantastic stuff. If I had to make a suggestion to improve the app, I'd say it needs the ability to search for an item. Although, if it did, I would have missed out on so many things that I saw while scrolling! -Cheri

UPDATED. Already contacted you prior and after this review and your response was not satisfactory "you will get the notification as soon as we scan free items". I used to get the notifications as soon as posted. Now it is not. Enjoyed the app without any problems until recently. I started getting 32 minutes delay in notifications of free items on offer up. And now 2 minutes delay for the rest of notifications. My question is is it because I don't pay? Or are there technical issues?

I love this app. it's so easy to start using not like most apps. I haven't had any problems with this app -- just one and it's a great problem to have . I know the name says it all but [alerts] had no idea how true to the name this app is, I actually had to turn the alerts on silent cuz it literally was going off every minute with alerts in the area I requested. love it. highly recommend it. try it for reals.

Love the app overall but wish it had more drill down options for specifics like Nearest first, newest first or alerts of anything posted within a 5 mile radius that would be a quick access item choice and not miss those if I'm not constantly checking the app for anything I haven't white listed already. I also love the fact it doesn't have excessive and intrusive ads, so thank you for that. Great app and in the couple of months having it I've referred you to several people who now use it too.

This is a great app quality items free to someone in need. Most are excess construction materials, appliances, and furniture. Four stars instead of ten because I would like to see the app be stand alone without the requirement to visit various different apps in which the post originated. Update to three stars but really it's more of a three and three quarter rating because of the bot generated response asking me to complete additional steps so they can. I take a step you take a step (rules).

Good, but has a few problems: 1. No blacklist to block sellers posting paid stuff every day or that annoying person reporting the same thing every week when clearly no one wants it. 2. The ads are buggy. If you even touch them even for scrolling, they "stick" to your finger. 3. Notifications are often late. 4. Notifications are sometimes duplicated. Maybe they can be combined and have buttons in the item page like "view in FB" and "view in ND". 5. No exact location possible. Only zip code.

This is a great app, I have gotten quite a few really good quality things for free by using this app. It notifies me immediately so I can take advantage of it. I like it best when people do not include their address in the listing. I sometimes want to get something that is quite a ways away and if the address is in the listing, it's gone by the time I get there. Because of that, I no longer respond to listings that include the address. I don't like spending money on gas to no avail

I love that it's a one-stop for most freebies. If Craigslist was also on the menu, it would be perfect. I love that I can customize the distance, too. Californians are willing to commute further than perhaps another state for our freebies since we commute all the time. Maybe a 20 mile jaunt is on our route to do something, so we expand our search. Another user in a different state may think anything over 10 miles is too much.

GREAT and extremely useful concept! My home is nicely furnished with exceptional and tastefully chosen items off of this app. I like the alert when items are available in the area, but one downfall is that it needs to be more closely monitored. Some offer for free, then when you go to the marketplace, the ad is made $1, and the author says, "Make me an offer." Otherwise, I get much enjoyment here.

I love this app, it'll be very handy in the future, my only gripe is that there should be a rule for individuals to add their addresses in. It's frustrating when a good item, a short distance away, becomes a goose chase. I also understand that this app is connected to multiple, but a message feature strictly for Freebie, would also make things handier, instead of jumping back and forth, and possibly losing out on a good item, or haul. It's still with it.

It's worth the download, You can sign up for keyword alerts, set it and forget it if you're looking for a specific item... I was looking for a birdbath, took a few months for the right one to appear in my notifications (about one every couple weeks for that item), but it was awesome! Did the same with a second item, now a year later I thought of a third on my wishlist I know I can't afford, but some people might toss to the curb rather than sell!

it's wasteful and kind of lazy honestly that we as a people consume as much as we do and then we just throw it away when we're done we're bored with it. it doesn't make sense to throw something away that is still useful or unbroken. I love this app cuz it orchestrates and encourages us, with very little extra effort, to instead of trashing things that are still useful, getting stuff we don't want to or use anymore to people who may need it. 100 upside!

This app won't let me open it anymore. It 1st won't show any photos so I un-installed it and re-installed and now it's just frozen on the Freebie Alert Page where it pops up when you open it and asks for zipcode . It won't do anything and it's really frustrating as I use it all the time. Please fix these bugs. It's a great app when it works.. it's just not working anymore.

There are definitely some issues with the app but my biggest frustration, Is that I wish that people wouldn't post things on the free app If they're not going to hold onto to item for someone to show up. ONLY post if you are hanging on to the item for the person messaging you. For example, if you're gonna set things on the side of the road PLEASE don't Post it, because people don't have time and gas to waste driving across town to pick something up that isn't there when they show up.....

This app is a great find & I would have given 5 stars until I started getting ads on it. It takes a bit longer to sift thru to see what I want to. That said, a couple improvements could help make it easier and more helpful. It would be nice to have a better idea of the distance between the item and my location. The actual mileage difference is significant. Also, having to use multiple apps to communicate is nice but requires joining apps I'd rather not. But, its great to give items a new home.

Fantastic app, lots of new issues. App is great. It combines several listing sites into 1. I've had the app for about 3 months now. About 2 weeks ago, the app became buggy. It still is. It freezes and eventually times out. I'm on a new phone with plenty of storage, so it's the app itself causing the issues. Fix the app, and the rating will go up. 😉

The app just compiles free things from other apps/websites (Facebook Marketplace, Nextdoor, OfferUp, LetGo, and TrashNothing) There's no money involved. Just showing and compiling posts. The only in-app purchase is a $10 A YEAR subscription to remove ads. To be honest, the ads aren't intrusive. You can scroll right past them. There's the option to whitelist phrases or words for notifications, but I personally don't use that feature. Overall, it's an amazing app. Highly recommended!!

Update: ended up uninstalling, I don't necessarily see the point unless you have Facebook. I would recommend trying it if you do. I was skeptical cos there are a lot of junk apps but yeah... it (mostly) does what it says on the tin, with a few caveats. The app is extremely slow to load when you click a notification - we're talking 15+ seconds which is ridiculous. The distances are wrong on many things to the point where it's likely the implementation - not the fault of person who posted.
