Absolutely terrible. Impossible to get WIFI or SMS code to log in. Login process is excruciatingly long and does not work. App forces you to enter all of your credit card details. Not the slightest bit of concern for customer satisfaction or general happiness.

Assumes i already have an account and only gives me the option to log in. My girlfriend was given a different page which allowed her to create an account. Even after creating the account and giving credit card details it still wouldn't work. Worst train internet provider I've ever experienced!!

Cannot sign up through the app. You can only sign in once already registered. Also, when registering through the site, the confirmation code is never sent via text. Very poor design overall.

Absolute worst designed app ever. Have spent multiple business class train trips trying to get registered....supports existing customers only, broken links, numerous restarts and re-registrations, poor navigation, no clear registration pathway, and refusal to send verification texts to Canada/USA!!! Makes one think of old Italian stereotypes that everything is broken and no one cares. Why advertise any wifi if it doesnt work? Would rather expectation are not set that are not able to be met

App is not required for internet access on frecce trains. App is useful for entertainment, but you have to have registered to use this. If you have an Italian mobile, registration should be ok (you verify your identity via a code sent by SMS to your Italian mobile. Code in entered in the regetration process). If you don't have an Italian mobile no, you must verify your identity by entering your credit card details!!!! That right, let's all transmit our CC details over an unsecure WiFi connection

Esperienza Terribile! App lenta, che crasha, che si contraddice da sola e non ti permette di usufruire dei contenuti perché la wifi a bordo del treno non va. Terrible experience! Very slow app, that crash everytime, and not able to deliver the content they promised. In fact, the wifi onboard does not work at all

Congratulations, you've found the worst looping app in the world. Spent the entire train ride trying to log in to the Wifi only to be told dozens of times that I couldn't log in to the Wifi until I LOGGED INTO THE WIFI!!! This app is worse than useless and Frecce's onboard Wifi is a cruel joke to customers.

One of the worst and useless app ever. 1hr for connect to the WiFi and still doesn't work, as anyone in the coaches. Don't put your card number, is scam. Paid a full tickets price for the same service you can have in a Bus from '80.

Completely useless. After wasting two hours and a huge amount of data on my phone plan, this app simply doesn't work. It won't load and install correctly on Android or Google phone so there's no way to access wifi or any of its features once you give them access to your payment details. Need to complain about this.

Ridiculous, Trenitalia should try to make cakes because evidently they don't know how to run services for customers onna train. You need to register to use wifi but no registration allowed. So.... Of course I wasted lots of time trying to use the wifi without success. And moreover I did the checkin online but the ticket checker bothered me anyway to control my ticket.... And moreover and the expensive train was 29 min late. Not mention that from 30min late you can have small bonus so declare29

How to use: Seemingly only works with laptop, not mobile. Go to the portal website and find the wifi section extremely well-hidden in the ads. Create account and when prompted for credit card details, CANCEL all your browser's autofill; fill everything manually. Login with your credentials. Enjoy EXTREMELY SLOW wifi. If you have a roaming plan (which is needed for the SMS to activate this in the first place), it will probably be faster than this wifi anyway. Cheers

Very bad app. Slow. It is surprising that such a big company has such a bad app. By the way this is necessary to access the wifi...meaning that in practice, unless you are very lucky, there is no wifi in any train station or train. The usual "italian" style for semi-public companies (i am italian)

One star is one too many. One of the reasons I chose to travel by Frecciargento was because there was onboard WiFi. It's impossible to log on, either via browser or via this useless app, which sells 5 you to log in, which is difficult without a profile. You can't register either. This is a borderline scam

So you have to install the app to use the WiFi, you need data to install the app in the first place, then it will work a bit and then stop, finally it asks for your data to register and also wants your credit card. Oh, and the maximum password length is 10 characters. I'd just stare at a black tunnel than deal with this joke of an app any longer. Apparently Trenitalia/Frecce think they are an aircraft carrier.

Appalling, just appalling. As others have said, insists you create an account, and when you try to do so it says you've entered the wrong information. And without it, apparently, you can't access the onboard wifi. So, no wifi for 3+ hours at 6:00am from Florence to Naples with nothing to see out of the windows because it's still dark. It's a useless, evidently pointless app and a waste of time and effort. Save yourself frustration and don't bother downloading it.

The process of registering and accessing the freccia rossa "free" wifi is so obnoxiously slow and super complicated that you may want to give up. And that would indeed be a good idea, as you're asked to share your credit card details if you are using a non Italian subscription, though you're not supposed to pay anything. Well you don't, but what happened to me is that the day after I found that MY CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN CLONED??!! and had been blocked by my bank. Stay away from this rubbish!

Not only could I not get wifi access, but but each attempt (over several days) was a different experience of frustration and failure. The app tells you you need to connected to wifi, and when you try to connect to wifi, it says you need to be registered on the app. When you go to register, you are often only given the option to login, with no link to register. You never know what will pop up. And that's not even getting to the credit card...
