I dont like this app, yeah get a few updates but theres ver little articles like the original app had. I don't want to waste my time scrolling through nonsense I honestly do not care what happens in others cities outside of texas. why include all of them? the original DFW4 app was just fine! Also the advertising is very demeaning.

When trying to do full screen it cuts half of the video off. Updated to the current version that says the full screen issues were fixed and found that not to be true as mine is still cut off on full screen. Please do better!

Go back to the standard app and, more importantly, how articles were written. We don't need an AI synopsis...We clicked on the article to read. My attention span isn't much, but it's enough to read an article without bullet points, breakdowns, and summaries.

I only watch Fox 6 news and it made sense to have their news app. I had always enjoyed the previous app but the new Fox local app is terrible. It's repetitive without saying anything important. It regularly doesn't load new stories and defaults back to the last story you read from days ago. Terrible app, I'm deleting and choosing to use a different news app. I wish they wouldn't have changed from the previous app that was much better.

App worked great until the May 19th update. Now when switching to landscape view, the app automatically switches to portrait view even when auto rotate is turned on to automatically switch to landscape view. Very annoying 😡. Yes apps do you need updating but not affect creates more issues. Will try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

This app feels like it's stuck in the late 2000's. Frequently glitchy, quality of picture isn't always the greatest, the same 3 advertisements repeated over and over. And for the love of God, FOX, fix the freaking audio synchronization! It gets off by a good 3 full seconds or more after nearly every local advertisement run. Just pathetic.

I watch this app most mornings since I'm too close to Flint for Detroit to be my local. Enjoy the familiar faces on Fox2. The commercial breaks are brutal. Anything different. The gingles over and over makes the whole house mad. Play real songs like Fox2 does as they come out of a commercial. Anything different. I find myself turning the app off because of this and watching Flint news which is also brutal.

I don't typically write negative reviews. However, this app is a tremendous disappointment. The previous Fox 13 Tampa Bay app was easy to navigate and had everything associated with the local station available within the app. This Fox local doesn't even have a menu. Can't find Good Day Tampa Bay, Charlie's World, easy access to weather or any of the other titles that were offered on the original app. Considering the number of negative reviews, I hope Fox considers reverting back to prior app.

Fox News has always been a good news source but this app interface is so lacking and the app just won't send me any news or breaking news notifications and it is set up both app and device and it's the same way on my other device. my fox5dc app was no problem at all. I have uninstalled it and signed up on Twitter breaking news notifications for my area the app is just no good.

The previous app was better. In terms of the live viewing. the picture doesn't always appear in full and it only turns one way for landscape viewing. There's no tab to view morning show information like on the website. It doesn't send news or weather alerts. Just disappointed with the lack of features

This app is worse than useless. I had zero issues with the Fox5 Atlanta app; that one was great and I could always watch the news live and such. This is showing me news either way after it airs or for the wrong places entirely. AND now during severe weather, I have no relevant live coverage on my phone. I need to find a different way to get my local news now I guess.

There was nothing wrong with the old app but I was forced to download this disaster. when I try to open this app, it either won't load and says "oops, something broke, other than the news". In the off chance I do get it to load up, its still showing news from the day before or earlier in the day and won't refresh. Im trying to be patient but eventually I won't be and will start using a different news app.

This app has 2(two) problems having to do with picture sizes. Upon opening the app on my Samsung android phone the screen pic for FOX 5 Atlanta is a normal size, albeit it is SMALL in the portrait mode. IF you want to switch from portrait to landscape mode...the pic does...but 2/3 of the screen pic is deleted in landscape mode. To correct this you have to close the app & start over. Also,when you go back to portrait mode from landscape, you lose portions of right side of screen. PLEASE FIX THIS!

The fox chicago app needs to be brought back. fox local app is one of the worst apps ever created due to the fact, there are too many complications. it's not allowing you to do many things that you were able to do and the fox chicago app. It will only allow you to use the app and nothing else, compared to the fox chicago app, you was able to watch the news and still able to do other thing's on the phone same time.

New user forced off my previous local channel app (which worked fine). Thus far, I can find no way to access any settings whatsoever on this app. You turn off notifications on start up and that's it? No option to turn them back on? There doesn't seem to be a way to share an article either. Maybe there is and I'm missing it -- but there's no way to request help or leave feedback other than a review, so who knows? These are basic app functions that you're missing. Do better.

Why did we have to change to this app? The previous one worked perfectly! I have an android phone, and this app won't send me notifications. When I watch a video it either cuts off the anchors head, or if I put it on fullscreen and turn it sideways I can see the whole person, but only half of the screen! It's completely black on the right side of the screen, cutting off the right side of the video. It is also only showing me 4 or 5 news items? Not user friendly at all. 🤷‍♀️

The Fox 5 Washington D.C. app was better. This one doesn't even have a picture-in-picture setting like the old app had. When I close it out to check a text, I can't continue to watch it in the corner of my screen. However, I can still hear it in the background, though. It doesn't even have auto-rotate, smh. Overall, it's just a poor app bcuz it's not with the times. The old app just kept repeating the same thing over-n-over, but it was still better than this app! Go back to the original app!
