Make no mistake, this is absolutely the best language learning app in existence. It is also by far the most expensive. The sheer amount of content is massive, and ranges from "Hello" to breaking down music videos. If you are really committed to learning one of the languages they offer (they offer about a dozen) and you can afford 30$/month or 200$+/year, go for it.

It's ok, sometimes the question does not match the answers provided and then I get them marked wrong. So my score is lower when it was actually a glitch in the program. I translate things regularly for others and my self so it not a learner error. Also, I feel like it's impossible to use any coins. Not sure what they are for and I have to earn a huge amount... The app is easy to use but it's a bit lacking.

its alright. you cant currently translate an entire sentence while quizzing which would be helpful. you also cant check the definition of words in example sentences. there is also no social aspect, it would be nice to be able to talk to other users and organize meetups like on duolingo (which is free). the feedback process is tedious and they didnt really respond to my complaint. the main appeal is the ability to check word definitions in real time while viewing content from youtube. needs work

This platform delivers the things I was looking for. It has thorough explanations and deep repositories of resources. I love having multiple examples given in context for each word. The platform is also good at explaining and pointing out nuance. Overall this is the site I was looking for, so I decided it was worth subscribing too. You could perhaps cobble all the pros of this site together with multiple free resources, but it would be onerous and ultimately not as good.

Used for Chinese. I LOVE the video library. Super helpful for listening skills practice. The review system, though? NOT great. Too many questions that are vague enough to have three or four grammatically acceptable answers, but only one of these is the 'right' answer. I should be able to go through and remove vocab and sentence cards manually, and add notes: eg; to the 着急 card, "not 担心,担忧,忧虑”

Never informed this app will charge me, let alone that it would charge me $239.99. If I were to pay so much for a program, it would offer a lot more. attempted to follow instructions below and nope, no way to cancel. I can cancel subscription for next year but not this year. Lesson learned -> Do more research on apps before downloading. What a waste of money!!! Such a useless app and that's cost me a lot more grief than I can express!!!

It's great...but expensive! It's great as long as you have the basics down. If you don't, its still prettu good. It has some content for if you know absolutely NOTHING, but it's torture to watch those...do Duolingo to get yourself started. This is an immersion. You get to practice true listening while you learn words. Duo and Rosetta are AWESOME but you realize that even if you're doing amazing in those, you can't keep up with a conversation in real speed. This helps. Also try Tandem to speak.

For those of us who need a lot of help and aren't "memorization machines", this is an excellent product. The multiple videos of real diverse people using the words in many situations are great reinforcement. The ability to quickly set up your own groups of flash cards and review them is also great -- like a group I have a grasp on and want to quickly remind myself of vs. a group that I just don't seem to "get". Each word is explained and re-pronounced at your command. Really nice!

This is the best, in my opinion, way to learn a language...short of actually speaking with a native speaker or being in a country where your desired language is spoken. Tons of content, for different levels of proficiency and several examples and definitions for each word or phrase. The flashcard tool is great. It gives you a personalized experienced, letting you review words or expressions that you want to especially learn. Buen trabaja!

Two weeks is NOT enough time to decide whether or not you like the app to pay for it. Plus, you can only pay annually and not monthly. If you guys want more subscribers and less people cancelling before the trial period is over (like I did) I highly recommend you guys switch it to an entire month trial like most free trials out there are so people can really tell if they want to pay hundreds of dollars upfront for an app they may not even like. Plus, it should be a monthly charge instead.

It's a useful app, but there are inconsistencies in the way some particles are transliterated. For example, in the very beginning lessons, wa (subject marker) is written as ha because that's the character used for it; however, in later lessons one is supposed to unput wa, and no explanation is offered for the change. If I hadn't already studied Japanese, things like that would puzzle and frustrate me.

Update: The free subscription, after trial, is absolutely, completely worthless. The app is still way overpriced!!! The app is great, but the price is just far too high per month. It is slightly better than a more well known competitor, duolin**, and the addition of the YouTube videos are great, but it's not enough to cost almost 3x as much! If they cut the price in half, it would be 5 stars and a keeper..I just can't justify the price premium for a half star advantage.

This app has a ton of potential. My biggest complaint is the flashcards/quiz system. I feel like they shouldn't show a picture and context sentence with audio right away. It's too hard to use my memory to recall a word when they spit it out before I can put any thought into it. I'd like a definition and then have me type the word in, or a word given and a definition to type in. Maybe an example sentence/photo after a successful or failed entry. Or a way to customize flashcards all together.

BEST LANGUAGE APP PERIOD. I am an intermediate speaker of German who has been away from the classroom for years. I have been looking for something that was immersive, and not just memorization and flashcards. Many apps out there are just too basic, and make you feel like you know more than you actually do. This app is all REAL CONTENT. Real you tube videos and real conversations. You are in control of what gets added to your list of what to focus on. If you truly want to learn, go no further.

Really easy to use. Makes learning a language fun and impactful. Would recommend! Update: I had to drop it down one star because not enough content is released to keep up with my pace of study. I've already listened to all of the intermediate and advanced videos available for a couple weeks now. I pay the $30/monthly premium, so I would like to see more videos/exercises! The app really is good overall. That's the one and only drawback. When is the next update coming with more material??

They will charge you whether you order it or not, Google not helping, credit card did not help, they are based in Hong Kong. They did not give me any communication that I was charged. When I found out they where charging me on my credit card statement and I attempted to cancel again they continued to charge me a full year!! The site is not worth the cost. They make you think you can cancel their product by uninstalling the app. This is not true! Then they put applied a 2nd account to my google play after I figured out how to cancel the original 3 months after the charge!! This app is a PREDATOR!

I'd give it a 0/5 if possible. I found the app whilst trying to find apps to help me study. Unfortunately, I should have checked the reviews first as when you open the app, it has a lot of problem and sticks on the 2 weeks free trial until you press subscribe. Later on, if you choose to not subscribe, mandatory things such as flashcards and quizes are locked. When looking at videos, if you don't have membership, you cannot look at the full subtitles.

It's a decent app but way to expensive! The memorize learning app is $60 a year and it's a really really good app! This is nearly $30 a month. If they lowered the price I would def subscribe! Edit: Also there's a ton of intrusive pop-ups in the beginning with how-to text and they won't go away until you click ok. They are very frequent and I am going to pass on this platform because of that. Otherwise great system! In the future maybe you can make these pop-ups optional.

I enjoyed this app until they pushed out an update in June 2025. All of the sudden certain modules would stay orange (needs review) no matter how many quizzes I took. And commercials started playing in some of the videos. Most irritating was losing my streak. I hit my 50 day streak, saw the "daily goal complete" message, and the next day it was stuck on 49 and the streak was over. I think the app can help you learn a language. I feel like I have made good progress. But it has some bugs.

I'm having an issue. I signed up for a free trial, put in all the info it needed, but now it literally won't let me sign into my account to use the free trial. the app freezes when. I try to open it. my account works on the website, but the website is terribly frustrating on my phone. I wish I knew how to make the app start working instead of going to a blank page every time I open it. it stays blank and never loads the next part no matter how many minutes I wait or times I restart it
