It's a flashlight. No more and nothing less. No alternative switch controls. No colorful lenses. I live on a boat and, of course, small pieces of hardware are bound to become invisible when dropped into dark crevices. No sequences, pushing to reveal sets of button combinations. Nope. Just as bright as others offered. TiogaSteve

Review for the app...mediocre... once I get the flashlight to go on... it's great. The issue I have is that when it installed it states " great app is compatible with your samsung". It lights up when the app is open and it goes off and on with the shake side to side twice like it is supposed to. Now, when the app is closed and I shake my phone side to side two times, it does not come on. It does not work unless I go and open the App. I should not have to do that according to other reviews

The 9 of free apps! It works. It's free. No ads. No other fancy, unnecessary nothing! What more is there to say, except: for a Galaxy S9+, Samsung should have done that! Why not a 10? The icon added to the home screen is larger and lines up lower than the others. But, it works, it's free, no ads, no fancy unnecessary nothing! I'm cool with the offset icon!

Is exactly what I needed! I have a brand new baby and was looking for a flashlight that I could use as a quick night light for middle of the night care(as the one that came with my phone is quite inconvenient.) When she stirs I hit the button on this app and leave my phone on my end table and it gives just enough light to light up the room without fully waking her or my husband. And of course functions perfectly as an actual flashlight as well.

It does what it says on the tin. It's a flashlight. No frills, just a way to light your path in the dark or to better see things up close. Though not ad-free anymore the ads are tiny, unobtrusive banners sitting at the bottom of the screen. Don't know what else to say, it's the best of the flashlight apps because it sticks to what it's supposed to be, a good flashlight, an on and off button, and nothing else. Other apps get bloated with unnecessary features and ads. This is just a flashlight.

The app is beautifully simple, all you do is push the on button widget on a home screen and the flashlight comes on to turn on no open app or anything. But, and it's a big but. The widget stops working after about a day of putting it on to the home screen. You can go into your apps and open it up and it will work. But the widget does not continue to work. If the app developers fixed this, it would be the perfect flashlight app.

The application works as intended, but I found another application that is smaller in application size to install and use. The other application is truly ad free with no option to have ads. The option is not even available in the settings of the application. I found a few flashlights had some more functionality on them. I do not remember exactly what they were though. Ads to enable or disable are located in the settings tab in the app; if it has in the settings menu.

Can't do it anymore. Turned off on me one too many times. Really cool feature to shake to turn on the light but you've squandered it. Hopefully someone else knows how to do what you couldn't. Avoid this app at all costs the flashlight turns off after an extremely short period of time. This is really one of those problems you just can't believe is a thing : the flashlight turns off. A flashlight. That turns off by itself when you're in the dark really counting on it. A flashlight that betrays u

Works great, nice and bright, ads at the bottom not in the way. And when I shake my LG phone it turns on automatically. Shake it again a few times and it turns off which I just learned. That's cool and also explains why the flashlight would be on sometimes when I didn't want it on and hadn't turned it on. That's not so cool. But now at least I know so can prevent that but also can use the feature when needed. That's super cool!

Simple, easy and BEST if prone to seizures, this does NOT Flash, At All. The BEST. The other flashlights promise a ton of features (color changing, "warning" Seizure Light I call it, and now you can even get an "SOS light" another seizure light as far as I'm concerned) but never deliver except for the annoying flashing. This is WAY better and AD FREE, just go with this one, it's just like a real flashlight with NO PROBLEMS! X-P!

I really like the app. It's a flashlight so it's hard to get wrong. The main reason I downloaded it was because it supported gestures. You can turn the phone on by shaking the phone side ways twice. The problem I have with it is the app has to be running for it to work. It doesn't run in the background and I tried to enable "Accessibility Service" permissions to but it won't let me. If you make it to where it runs in background and I can use gestures without opening app first. 5 star app.

This is a good flashlight app. The light is bright, it's ad free and easy to use. I like the brightness when I have to walk in the dark, but would like a lower setting for a reading light. When I read a review from someone with epilepsy asking for a lower setting that wouldn't set off symptoms and customer service saying it can't be done I was annoyed..... yes it can. And since it effects her health it should. When I find one that does I'll switch.

Used over 5 mins continously, 2 diff times,no interruptions. Before I discovered option to turn ads off! Used over 25 times so far, no bugs or crashes yet, works perfectly even on an old S4. Options for sound, vibrate, shake to switch light on/off, with shake sensitivity that's adjustable. Did I mention you can turn off ads? Look no further for a flashlight app...you found the best and it's free! I was compelled to leave rating/review after I found option to turn off ads with no ill effect.

Good light: Simple to find app button to open and turn on light, and the obvious control button after that. Even a dinosaur like myself figured it out. What ads there are don't interfere with my use of the light. And I'm very pleased that I'm allowed to edit my review, even after I posted it (I think in iterations, successive approximations, rarely get it right the first time through), though that may not be the developer's doing(?). Anyway, thanks to you, singly or as a group, well done.

Solid. Very simple and fast, which is great for a flashlight app. I like it... It has a (selectable) feature that turns it on or off anytime by shaking the phone horizontally twice: neat and usefull.... Cool. Its not perfect- it doesnt allow one to change the color or intensity, but it always works and had a good price (free), and no ads or without peemission. A setting for a blue shade to conserve one's night vision would be awesome. Anyway, 4/5 stars.

Free and no ads. Does what it is supposed to do--Turns on/turns off when YOU want it to. A previous Led flashlight I had was obnoxious! 🤬 FULL of ads which were placed strategically adjacent to the on/off switch, triggering ads repeatedly!! As we have all learned, it is a rarity to find a basic, functional ad free app. This is the FIRST I've found and so far, so good... 🙏🏽

I've been looking for this app off and on for roughly 7 years, now. All the others I've tried have too many bells and whistles (flashing strobe lights), gimmicky color changes, or just plain weird variations of patterns (spiraling, hypnotic, etc.). All I wanted was a super-bright flashlight that was on-off at the touch of a button, and this app fills the bill perfectly. Even better, the app stays open for one-click OFF when I'm done.

I have had several flashlights. Some causing low battery or looking around in your phone or contacts they're pushing ads of some kind.. Comes on if you barely touch the app point, without going to the start button, which does come right up which you can use to turn it off and on again. what I did was put the flashlight app on my second page, thumb right to it and Bam! all the light you need. Daytime might not see that I had touched the app sliding the phone into my belt case.

It's very bright. The distance is definately fair enough for viewing a walking path. I use it mainly for eluminating things that are 3ft to a few inches away. I've never noticed little tiny ads on the screan where you control the on/off button, so if there are any they're not distracting and they certainly don't pop up before you can use the flashlight. I've never used another app, so can't compare with any cons.

Have had this flashlight app for a while and love it! It does what it's supposed to do, without all the unnecessary extras, no annoying adds, and it doesn't glitch on me. Have had it for a year or 2 now, but have been using it every night since our fish unexpectedly had babies (we thought/we're told she was a male...surprise)! The babies are tiny and hard to see, honestly. But this flashlight makes it a lot easier! Great for walking to the bathroom when out camping, too!
