This app has gotten worse. You used to be able to choose either "extra" or "light" for ingredients (e.g. extra pickles, light onions), but now you only have two choices - take it or leave it. No matter how far in advance you submit your order, they don't start your fries until you walk in the door. This is both good and bad. Five Guys takes a lot of pride in their french fries, and rightfully so, so waiting to make them ensures that they're as fresh and crisp as possible when you get them.

App is next to useless. Tried placing a curbside order through it only to get an error message saying several items in my order we're not available at our location. When I went to order in person, everything was available, the app just wouldn't accept order. Also, "All the Way" is not available in app. Basically, the app just lets you look at the menu, and you don't need a dedicated app for that, just Google it.

The app hardly works when it comes to checking out. I can place an order as such, but a 403 error comes up as I try to check out. I used Google Pay, which debited my card, but the Five Guys store didn't have it in their system. It REALLY needs to be fixed because it's very inconvenient to pay for something that you didn't get. At least the store made the order after showing the order info and proof of how the app screwed up after placing an order.

(EDIT: Yes! Thank you for adding partial payments/multiple cards in the app.) Great food, mostly OK app. I would add the ability to pay with more then one card, as gift cards can't be used if the remainder of the gift card is less than the total due. Also would like to see purchase of fountain drinks in app. Just more convenient that way. 👍

Tried to place an order with the app a couple times, but it was always met with errors when i tried to pay. No matter what method i used it was always an error code. So i gave up and went in person to order instead. The day after i saw that all the orders had actually gone through and i had a total of almost 83 dollars worth of orders done. I can't even use the app anymore cause now where i log in i get errors codes. Absolutely the worst experience I've had with a food ordering app.

Worst possible buying experience. Tried to place an order, the app constantly cleared all the information on the purchase page, wouldn't let me select no tip (clearing out the fields when it told me), and then when I finally got the order page happy, it would send me to an error page. The worst part though - every time it errored out, IT WAS STILL CHARGING MY CARD. My bank locked my card after the 7 attempted charges.

Good app, great food! But, back to the app. It was good when it first came out, and it still is - good. But in 2021 we could use some great updates, and specifically some additional options and features. How about a notes feature for the food preparers? Serving instructions? For instance - I live about 20 minutes from my local FG's. By the time I get home, my lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles are warm and wilted. I want that stuff crunchy, cool and ready to be stacked. It would be great to have an option for the vegetables to be put in their own tin container (for us non-bun people), or foil. Also, this is long over due: can we please get the option to add our FG's gift certificates in a wallet within the app so I don't have to keep those numbers with my all the time? I'd like to add them for use when I need to, and not have to concern myself with a payment method when it's time to check out. Thanks!

Gan I give less than 5 stars? App won't let me login! "There was an error processing your request, please try again later." This is on a Pixel 5, running Android 12 (until a few days ago, essentially the Android flagship phone; if your app doesn't work on this platform, you might as well go home). And yes, I've tried clearing cache, storage, and even uninstalling and reinstalling. Error remains the same.

I'm a little surprised this app is not smarter. Every time I switch phones, I log in and it has lost who I am, my payment information, my favorites. It pops up and tells me it will notify the store when I arrive, but it never does despite the fact that it has location permission. Took multiple attempts log in, it kept just saying an error has occurred. This app has been a little quirky through three different phone changes, four different rooms of Android.

Incredibly buggy app, for account creation I had an email already associated and instead of an error message it threw up a message screen with a coding script, accidentally hit the wrong back button when viewing my order cart (there are two which are close to each other), it took me to select the five guys location page, and wiped my entire order having to put it in again. Cherry on top is the comment/complaint webpage didnt load. And no "all the way" option in your topping selection area???

Nice to be able to order dinner as you get off work and pick it up on the way home. EDIT: App no longer works on my A71 5G w Android 11. Opening the app just goes to a black screen, then message appears saying that the app is not responding. I now have to go to the web page to order. Same result as using the app, just a few more steps. Hope this is fixed soon.

Nice app, works fantastic until the very last step where you put in your ZIP code for the credit card. You hit continue to finish your order and the app shuts down and clears out everything. Was able to call the store phone number and place the order with the auto attendant robot. Hopefully they'll get it fixed. Was really easy to order if it worked.

Decent app, needs improvement with tracking. When location services are active, the app won't always recognize that we have arrived at the merchant. As a result the notification stays on the notification bar even after the order has been picked up. Should add nutrition information to app and pictures of items, just generally more information on the products sold. One last thing which is purely a suggestion is the ability for the app to have all coke machine flavor options for faster service.

Some problems keep this app from being very usable. First, updates keep causing my saved orders being deleted which is pretty annoying. Secondly, it was recently added that a persistent notification would appear when you order with something like "We'll let you know the store when you arrive". This is again extremely obnoxious. The notification provides no real usefulness, and even worse is it doesn't go away after I've picked up my meal. Also probably does some sketchy GPS user tracking.

App has become unusable in the last couple of years as developers have tried to make it look nice. App returns an error message if you attempt to place an order using multiple gift cards, and crashes if you attempt to add a credit card when checking out. After three tries yesterday - each time involving building an order from scratch - I gave up and used the web site. No point whatsoever for this app to exist now. At least a few ago when the app was barebones it functioned.

Ruined the app by taking away lots of customization options. No more "light and extra" toppings or condiments. Also removed several toppings and condiments along with extra cheese. No rewards program of any kind and no way to save favorites. No reason to have the app it's now a waste of space. Uninstalling. Real sad when BK, Sonic, McD's and Wendy's have rewards and options for "light and extra," but $10 burger 5 Guys can't manage it!

Nice app! Pretty easy to use. I like when I'm signed in that I can have an order as a favorite and easily order that or other past orders again. Love that getting my fav fast food is super easy! A suggestion/feedback: it would be great to have the menu accessible to view without having to start the order process. And also sometimes the "we'll let the merchant know when you arrive" active alert thing is a bit glitchy and doesn't update/I can't make it go away for a while.

We've used the app for a long time. Sometimes we need to take a screenshot of "Your order will be ready in" and the other info like order #. This worked fine forever until recently they've disabled the ability to talk a screenshot in the app. This isn't a banking or other sensitive app, it's a stupid choice that means I have to grab another phone and take a picture of the screen. Really stupid choice to do in an app for ordering food.

The app works, does what it's supposed to and looks nice. BUT it tends to delete the order/empty your cart if you click on the wrong thing, like I accidentally clicked add gift card and when I went back the order was gone. Minus one star for that. Then, it won't let you add a tip for the driver!! Minus another star, and would be minus two, but the app design is great and the way they changed the toppings selection is an A+. So 3 stars and pretty close to 5. Keep going, devs-it's almost 5 stars!

App seems to be having issues. I tried to submit a delivery order, but it said to try again due to a connection issue. So I did. I then got two confirmation texts that my oder was placed, and on the app I see two consecutive orders being done. Doesn't help that the location I have to get delivered from doesn't have a working phone to allow me to cancel. Very annoying, and wasting my money and the time of the store to make extra food nobody will eat.
