This app is phenomenal!! Everything you really want and need in a fitness app is a part of the free package--which makes me love the company and want to subscribe just to support them! Fantastic instructors, a customized program for your fitness level/goals, different workouts recommended each week and tracking of which workouts you've done/your progress. Plus the ability to swap out classes to your preference. 1 month in and loving it!!

Things I love: many workouts to choose from, easy to filter, calories burnt estimation with every workout. Things I hate: many workouts feature the exact same moves from others, app constantly freezes upon loading. I used it for a while but then out of nowhere it stopped casting to my TV (all other apps still cast...) and IT didn't get back to me. Uninstalled.

I had downloaded this app almost 9 months ago and never opened it once... but that all changed in March when we stayed home... I am absolutely blown away by this app. I can pick the time I have, the specific area I want to target, cardio, hiit, etc. I have done challenges, invited friends, and have whooped my husband and son during our "classes"! Thank you for the free app and the motivation, I absolutely LOVE every trainer and appreciate the easy use of FitOn!

I downloaded this app and for one day it worked great. Great features, smooth transitions, awesome workouts & an unbeatable price of 29.99 a yr. but as soon as I subscribed the app started to freeze & I could no longer open any of my progress or even update my profile. It was a total disappoinment. Rated two stars (requested refund) because good beginning concept just needs a lot of follow up work.

They changed the app for the worse since the last time I used it a few months ago. There are like 3 or 4 buttons that do the exact same thing on each tab. I can no longer make my own program (or choose ANY program without Pro for that matter), schedule workouts for a few weeks into the future, remove workouts from a week that they "recommended," or see my planned workouts. Update: I'd rather not share my personal info, but if there is a way to change it back, great, I will change my review.

The free content is really solid stuff. At this point I've done maybe 6 classes. 3 of the classes absolutely kicked my butt. It was so good I implemented some of the exercises and format into treatment sessions with my own patients (I'm a physical therapist). The other 3 classes were were rated as less intense and more restorative which was absolutely on point. I've implented the short cool down routines before bed time and they are perfect. So many good things about this app.

I like the exercises, stretches, and everything this app has the potential to do. My dislike is that it won't sync to my Samsung watch for steps, so my steps never show up. I have to enter them, which I dont have time to do. It will only sync on a fitbit, and I think may be apple watch, but I could be wrong. When it does sync for heart rate, it drains my battery very quickly. I'm very disappointed that I got the paid version and can't use everything I want bc I don't have a fit bit. 🤷🏼♀️

Even after buying the Pro version, the app would not easily cast / mirror to my television. I tried with various android and apple devices. The video played a few minutes, then disconnected. The music is pretty bad too. Difficult to hear the instructor if the music is too high. But, you can't hear the music when you increase the instructor volume. The music is not synced to the workout. Makes more sense to just play music in the background at home from a separate speaker.

2024 update: I'm still using this app regularly and can't say enough great things about it. I recently suggested they add Tai Chi and they actually added 5 Tai Chi lessons! I still can't believe this app is free! 2021 review: All kinds of different workouts including Pilates, cardio, strength training, yoga, dance, Barre, stretch, workouts in small spaces, HIIT, workouts with kids... Different trainers, different intensities, different lengths of time - you pick. All free. Really great app!

Steps don't sync. Samsung watch users are like second-class citizens. I pay for premium yet can't compete in challenges because the app doesn't accurately sync steps. Frustrating to say the least. May cancel and find an app that can integrate with my watch so I can accurately track and measure progress towards goals.

Workouts are great, and trainers are great. Phenomenal variety that allows you to custom a fitness routine to your needs and level. 5⭐️ for free app. However, I've been using FitOn for 4+ years. FINALLY upgraded to Pro, and besides music and meals, I have no benefit of tracking my workouts with Garmin because the Instinct/Instinct Solar isn't compatible. Boo! Do better. 1 ⭐️ for Pro

I am changing my review because the company decided to change a bit portion of their app. Now, workouts that are 15 minutes or less will no longer qualify towards streak or tracking. The streak and tracking really helped motivate me to workout everyday. If you are like me, i tend to break up a 30-minute workup into separate parts. So I might do 10 minutes on the treadmill, 10 minutes on a bike, and 10 minutes uaing the app. I am very disappointed.

The free version is incredible... After selecting a difficulty slightly above what I normally do to challenge myself. Then I saw that the trainers make videos where they are doing the work outs.It makes me want to complete the work out even when I'm beat👊 💯 And you don't necessarily need weights to use fiton I don't have any and I'm still being challenged

I paid for pro. The workout side of the app is great, only downside is that sometimes workouts are rated the same intensity when one is much harder than the other. But if I followed the meal plan exactly, I would be cooking 3 different meals daily for a family of four (the grocery list has too much food too). I am only 1 person, so I have to manually redo the meal plan every week to work for me. Recipes miss ingredients or steps. It often plans snacks/side recipes in place of a full meal.

I had this app the past few years, & they've really upgraded a lot of features. The meal plans are more broad, the workouts more diverse (recently added in-gym workouts), & I'm hopeful the fitwatch issue will get fixed I ❤️ that I can choose to follow a program, or go solo and pick what I want. My favorite thing about this, & the trainers, is that workouts aren't framed as punishments. They don't talk like I should hate my body. And I think how we talk about our bodies is the 1st step. 🥰

I originally gave this a single star because even though I bought Pro, I couldn't get it to find my Chromecast. They fixed that, so now I'm giving it 4 stars. I love the workouts, especially the different varieties and instructors! The cardio, HITT, Pilates, and strengthening are great. I've had a few glitches with workouts dropping out before the end, but it's OK now, so if it stays OK I'll up it to 5 stars.

Have enjoyed this one for over 5 years, now. My one major complaint is the heavy vegetarian bias in all the nutrition content, like meal plans. While they do include a fair number of meat based recipes, it's been impossible to find an automatic plan that wouldn't have me relying on chickpeas, cashews, quinoa or some such about 75% of the time. Same for the article I read today; the recommended food products were 80-90% vegetarian. Not every body type can function well that way. I know I don't.

I love so many things about this app but the technical issues ruin the experience. Can't rewind, can't pause and can't cast to TV before the workout so once you cast, the video starts while you're putting your device down lol. Why are these functions there if you can't use them? The workouts and the instructors are great. I would upgrade but I'm unsure these issues go away with the premium package. I'll be frustrated but will keep using in hopes this is fixed one day

I have used FitOn on and off for at least the last couple of years. I have had very little issue with using the app on my phone. There are little issues when using it on my television when trying to navigate, but they are fairly easy to work around. I had an issue of a double charge when trying to get Pro started on my account on top of Pro not applying correctly, but customer support was excellent! They offered a refund of both charges. I will be trying to use Pro again for the added resources

I really like this app, but it has some problems. I paid for the pro so that I could stream it to the TV, but there are some glitches with that. Once the stream is over, the app doesn't show that I completed the workout so the time and calories don't populate correctly. Also, it's frustrating that my Samsung watch is still unable to link to the app for the correct calories and steps. Also, when you stream a workout to the TV, the pro music (that you pay for) doesn't play 😕.
