It took a bit of finagling with the app and my mobile phone's settings to make the "deposit check" function to work but it works now. It was a real hassle but beats driving or walking to an ATM / local credit union and making a deposit in person. Everything else works as it should. I'm using an older LG Stylo G phone (1st gen).

The check deposit app has improved significantly. Used to take multiple flashlights and zoom in as close as possible to get the app to be able to read the check. then after 3 to 10 attempts it might work. Update 9/13/23 Now it's easy-peasy!

Overall the app is getting better over time. But they have begun to add features that are actually degrading the experience. Mobile deposits were finally working well (other than the limit and the holds...) and then they added the "feature" to auto take pictures. This could be ok if it actually did things like focus before taking pictures. Instead it just snapps blurry garbage, thankfully you can disable it. But I'd rather reduce or eliminate hold times instead of bad features.

As skeptical as I was to start depositing checks through the app, it's been nothing but a pleasant and easy experience. I use the app primarily for depositing checks and viewing my account history for budgetary purposes. I have absolutely no complaints based on my use so far!

Life's Good (LG) I couldn't be more pleased. I have had this app for some time now and have never had any problems and believe it to be a trustworthy app. I use it often and always feel safe and secure. It saves time and patience. No waiting for a Representative for something one can do themselves. I say that as a lil' ole lady enjoying 21st Century technology.

Great app and easy to use. One exception is that on Zelle, it was hard for me to add all of my contacts to make it easier to send money to couple or more people. Other than sending one at a time which takes a lot of time. Anyhow, the rest of the app was great

Very convenient having this app. I am able to transfer funds from one account to another. Able to deposit checks on app with use of my camera. I get notifications directly from my bank as well. Also uses money app transfer. Solid app.

Logs you off for inactivity in the middle of deposit; UPDATE: The logoff problem is better now but it's still really slow. Upgrading to 2 stars. UPDATE: The automatic picture taking is buggy. Also the app suddenly stopped accepting my fingerprint for no apparent reason until I reinstalled it. UPDATE: Better now, but when you do a mobile deposit, it tells you to double check that you endorsed it, and then forces you to look at the picture again before proceeding with the deposit. Annoying.

This app makes banking easy without having to call or go into a branches due to covid and the bank being closed! Recently I'm only able to make a limited amount of transfers between my linked family accounts and saving accounts. I can see non-family account transfers having a limited number of transfers but my name is on all of the accounts. I'll change my rating if this is changed or open all bank locations again.

Solid app. Doesn't have as many features as some other mobile credit union apps but still very convenient. I wish there were a way to turn off, or lower the volume for, the very loud voice prompts when scanning a check for deposit. However, it's still a convenient way to make deposits!

Needs to have a way to pay loans, so you don't have to call & give routing number & account info everytime. I'd rather be able to enter the info in the app, otherwise there's no need for me to have the app. This would be a good feature to add & would make paying loans easy & quick. Have to call, wait on hold, verify, then give routing & account info. Can't use bill pay, cause don't meet requirements, I'm guessing cause I don't have a checking account, only a loan account.

I had loved this app for years. Last night's update changed that. I cannot access either of my accounts on the app anymore. They've done away with the fingerprint feature (which was my personal favorite). There is no point in having an account inaccessible through the app. I can still access my accounts through the website. The mobile app is now useless. Please, First City, put it back to the way it was on the front end. Thanks!
