Really difficult to navigate this app. Also the bus journeys are hard to read. Thirdly the live bus journeys are not even live but pre programmed. 🤦

Terrible app. The app barely works, with buses not showing up when they should and bus drivers seem to turn off their gps/ blackbox leading to buses either popping up and disappearing, or going the complete wrong direction on purpose. The Internet connection is terrible as well with load times taking half an hour on most days. Please update your app and flesh out the issues.

I come to England intermittently. The last few years I must say; the app worked perfectly. Now it seems a bit more confusing overall and the 'buy ticket' link leads to a dead page. Buying a ticket in advance is the only reason I was using the app. Seems like a dreadful oversight this particular functionality is broken. Reviewed on a Samsung S23+

It's super easy to use, can apply my travel pass easily and works with close to no error. Much easier than paying and holding onto a physical ticket which can get lost!

The new update has only brought along a new problem. When trying to load a bus stops' departure board, keep in mind I haven't even tapped on the "Departure Board" option yet. The app freezes and proceeds to close. This is awful for anyone trying to view when their bus is arriving. Especially since the live tracking is STILL unreliable and that most bus drivers forget to turn on their trackers for their respective bus.

Incredibly poor and underdeveloped app. Nothing straightforward on it. I'm in my 30's and very competent with technology, however, says 1 thing, then changes it. Not reflective of 'live' incidences, gives you 1 'journey', then changes info. Journey's that are 100% possible, it says no and adds on time. No paper timetables now, so the least First can do is actually develop an App that actually works! Older people/disabled have no hope navigating this absolute sham of an app. Very poor treatment.

Terrible unintuitive user interface. The journey planner is difficult to use and the results are not particularly clear. Location search for the deperture stop is actually your home address, and then the planner doesn't allow you to enter destination? Needs to be totally rethought - make it simple, give us a departure stop option and then destination stop option.

Fails to consistently tell you the location of actually buses. Generally sticks with pre programmed times regardless. Sometimes fails to tell you that a bus is cancelled. Can't tell you when a bus is late. Generally underwhelming and poor given the technology exists, this app and is just bad. This has been an ongoing problem for the past 8 months... The developers or company don't seem interested in fixing the problem.

If i could give it less than 1 star, i would. The interface in no way is intuitive. Which means it wont help older people transition to paperless traveling. The buses live locations are almost never available. With technology having come so far, you'd think at least being able to track the bus would be an essential part of a Bus App. But the app never tells you if the bus is canceled, delayed, broken down, anything. It's painful to use this app, but I'm helpless.

The services were absolutely pathetic, I waited for a bus due in five minutes, and it ended up being 25+ minutes. I was stuck in the rain, cold and wet for 25 minutes. Absolutely pathetic. And yes, I know traffic is athing but not 20-minute delays.

not a single star I would give.. I just missed two buses on my way to work cause the ticket option is not working on the app , it's just showing there is a bug in the app.. They are taking the money but not giving the service.. How 1st bus will digest these money they are taking from people..

shambles of an app. when using current location for a route planning not all buses are shown, bus location feature very rarely works. first bus favourite con is for buses to disappear when showing "due" they are cancelled but first bus have service level agreements so hide cancellations by letting buses they know are cancelled simply disappear from app and live signage at bus stops

Each UI change feels uninspired and overthought. Simplicity and functionality should be prioritised IMO. We don't need a fancy app, we just need it to be easy to navigate and easy to use.

Its ok. Too many steps to find the stop you want to check times and plan journey tbh. Buying tickets easy. Hope they remove the transfer of tickets limit or let us transfer individual adult tickets (as no option for gifting standard tickets, only child) as it'd be helpful for moments to help a family or friend that's short on money/in an emergency or if your phone broke/lost.

I bought a ticket for my daughter (4 weekly) for £100, was about to share and accidentally refreshed it. Ticket is now showing as expired despite me not having shared it at all! £100 down the drain and I am livid. It shouldn't be expired until it has actually been shared/used. Seriously, that's not money that most people can simply throw away, myself included! Fix it!!

This app is useful and convenient for getting bus tickets and time tables but that's about it the live tracking feature is far from optimal with busses not showing up or the busses showing up 5mins late and traker not showing at all to let me know that's the case. The app also doesn't inform you if there will be diversions, if a bus stop is closed temporarily, doesn't warn you of possible delays due to diversions or heavy traffic because roads being closed like chambers apppartly does this

Not accurate - bus positions seeming just invented from thin air/ archaic paper timetable. No better off than turning up at the stop to chance your luck. I complained to First who said not all buses are equipped with tracking hardware - however these are not highlighted on the app - casting doubt on any and all 'data'. Ticket purchase section works fine.

A shockingly bad app that frequently tells you your bus is running late, but when you get to the bus stop for the time shown on the app it then switches and shows that your bus has already departed the stop. Many times I have had to wait half an hour after work for the next bus because of this app. It also often glitches and shows multiple buses on the map tracker or shows a bus approaching and one constantly static on the map. It is truly one of the worst apps I've ever used.

Completely unable to tell you when a bus is cancelled, deviations from timetable such as rerouted buses and closed stops aren't advised and so it's really just untrustworthy. Time to next bus is wildly different from that displayed at the stop, and both are vastly different to printed timetable. The journey planner is very selective and will show you a range of upcoming buses rather than consecutive options.

From the 28 July this app basically becomes useless in Bristol. First are doing away with the 2-trip tickets. Student and young people ticket discount is reducing to only 10% of adult fare. Likely to remove the app at the end of the month. First claim tap on tap off will save boarding time, while passengers queue to use the tap off reader. Go figure.
