This is an interesting game with multiple areas (building, troop, research, hero, gear) you may progress. But it's basically a pay-to-win game - additional heroes, powerful buildings and some other major features are all locked w/o purchase; resources/materials are purposely very limited, and enormously time requirements are also forcing players to buy packs. It's also not really nice to paying players - the pack prices are determined by your purchasing history and forced on you with no options.

I had throughly enjoyed this game for the past year and a half or so. I started out basically as a free player, and through time was able to justify spending here and there. I was never one of the "whales" but was high enough and in an old enough server to stay somewhat in the top 100 or so in our realm. What's sad is with the last 5 days, they basically reset the game to zero and wiped all progress previously to where it didn't matter. All money spent was wasted and they ruined the game. 1 star

Game is unplayable without spending. I dropped more than 3Gs. Despite all that support is terrible and things don't always work as advertised. Apparently this is 'working as intended' so that's false advertising. Also if you pay to unlock something know that it doesn't mean you will be able to use it. It usually requires one or more $100 packs before you can get any use of of your initial unlock purchase.

The fact that I can have a lot of gold but only be able to buy resources or speed ups is utterly ridiculous!!! Not everyone can accumulate loyalty easily. Gold gets handed out kinda easily in my opinion. One of the worst features of a war game I have ever seen and experienced!! Even GoW gives you the ability to buy teleports, shields, and just about everything else with gold and they're very money hungry! Ugh. Just rubbish!!

When a level 50+ player can attack a level WAY lower level, who are just learning to play, is messed up. Not to mention they attack same player back to back for around 6 times taking everything you just learned to acquire. They should have some kind of range, to attack in rather than a free for all. I work, and play to relax. The deals are expensive, and with the higher levels attacking lower levels, they need the deals but can't afford them. PLEASE FIX, I want to continue playing.

Garbage just garbage. You have to pay to get any where or do anything in this game of worth. Then you have to keep paying. One of the biggest money tanks I have ever played. The packs start out at $5 which is cool then jump right to $20 after you buy one or two of those or level a little bit. The packs are $100 a piece. Almost everything extra and cool. $100 here $100 there. Of you wanna free to play prepare to be bored and annihilated. I cannot believe the Final Fantasy franchise has fallen so.

I used to play this game A LOT, and it was really fun. I got to "meet" people from all over the globe and build relationships with them. I've been olaying for about 2.5 years, but they added a new layer that has ruined a lot of the fun. Its now a game where you CANNOT advance to higher levels without paying $99 (+ tax) multiple times for packs to simply do the events in the game. i dont recommend this game anymore.

This game was at one time amazing. After new ownership, it has become pay to play. If you want to progress at a steady rate you literally have to pay. I have been waiting months for the appropriate materials to level up troops and gear, and nothing. By the time you get to unlock anything, they no longer offer the materials to level it, or unlock it fully. Im really disgusted with their ethics at this point. I've been playing for almost 5 years. I believe since the beginning.

Fun gameplay but it quickly stagnant and frustrating. Packages quickly become overpriced. (1st - $4.99, 2nd-$19.99, 3rd+ $99.99) Everything about the game shows it's a money grab. Resource requirements go way beyond empire producing capacity. Building and resource timers take years, yes 497 days to upgrade, without purchasing speedups. Events with unachievable goals without making significant purchases. Anytime you have an issue and need to contact the developer the replies are copy and past

Yeah, I stopped liking this game a long time ago. It has the problems a-lot of games like this have: the older players get the good stuff, and the newer players can't catch up without spending money. I felt I never was getting any of the new content because I wasn't high enough level or I didn't have enough of a resource. It soon becomes a cycle of new players get left behind and older players stay on top. I do like the art style and graphics, but in the end, it isn't all that good a game.

Nothing like the ads for the game. Slow game play unless you spend money. There are way too many ads pushing for payment to advance. Their in-game advertising is invasive, on many screens, and misleading 'HURRY only 1 hour left on this package!' resets every hour. It is fun but a pure money grab. If you do buy they only show more expensive packages. Developers need to get it together.

This game is pointless to play, unless you have a spare 30-50k lying around. You have to spend lots of money to stay competitive and the developers don't care about fixing glitches and game play issues. The pricing structure is setup to 4.99 for the 1st purchase. 19.99 for the second. Than each and every purchase after is 100.00 usd... Every option that would give you a gain in the game is money related.

This is a play-to-win game. If you aren't willing to throw down $99 on a regular basis for the best "packs", you will serve basically as fodder or cheap target practice for those who are. I've been playing for almost a year at this point, mostly out of spite, and it never gets better. If you aren't spending money, you will always be at a significant combat disadvantage to those who are and will be continually ravaged. The software itself is of very poor quality. If it had been written by a couple of college students I would be quite impressed. That this is associated with a major property is a straight-up embarrassment. The game is incredibly bugging including continual crashes, status which doesn't load correctly and events which fail to occur. It's a perfect example of an inability to handle data caching correctly. The game is very slow. Simple interface elements have enough lag that you can never tell if they simply didn't register the virtual button presses. Speaking of which, this is software which has managed to screw up scrolling through lists of items. Something which is smooth in every other application manages to be almost unusable in this game.

It's addictive. The problem is, the game is dangerously and extremely unbalanced in favor of the big spenders. So not only can you not win unless you spend thousands of dollars on in-game purchases, but you can't even survive - it's a war game, so unless you can spend that much, you're constantly getting attacked and zeroed. So if you don't have that kind of money to spare, don't bother. UPDATE: They have transformed the game into the "Dark World," which was supposed to help balance the game, but have made one of the resources needed to progress in this new version extremely scarce unless you once again buy more packs. So once again F2P players are given the shaft and can't compete, and the game is once again dangerously unbalanced and destablized. That's not what a freemium game should be - premium content should be about speeding certain aspects of the game up, not making them impossible to get otherwise. Lowering my rating down to 1 star, if I could take it lower I would. The runners of this game are merely out to grift as much money as they can from people, and it makes the game very much not fun.

it's all about money. it's fun until you get to higher levels and the people who spend money in the game basically own the whole map. they have as many teleports and stuff as they want and can easily deplete anyone of their resources and army in seconds. it's not fun anymore. and definitely not worth the time if you're not going to spend money in game.

I started off the game just fine, enjoyed it, met some great folks. However, almost a year into the game and their customer support is terrible. Form responses, events that appear to be one thing and are another, etc. I would not recommend this game to anyone, and cannot believe that the game will stay around much longer without improvements in customer service and game experience.

This game is far too complicated. For being pitched as a "Build your empire and attack others" game, it does a lack luster job. It's a cash grab that asks for $5 for a pack of resources at every opportunity. The only reason I even tried it was for rewards in another game (spent several hours playing just to get the rewards.) I cant say I recommend it based on the the complexity. The graphics were fine, but the controls felt rather sloppy as they kept performing like my screen was not calibrated.

Good friends make the game fun but it does cost a lot to become powerful. Graphics and animation are highly detailed, top notch. Only 3 stars because in app purchases are expensive.($79.99-$99.99) and required if you want to advance and enjou the game. Definitely not free to play. It is Pay to Play. New promotions come out two times a week for $99 and if you do not buy them you keep falling behind. Full enjoyment wil cost about $800+tax per month.

Boring and pointless. I'm not sure how this is a Final Fantasy game. It's one of those games where you upgrade buildings to unlock the ability to... wait for it...upgrade those same buildings more. Unlike many of this type of game, there's really not much more to it. The most interesting part of this game, heroes and monster hunting, plays the smallest part and is really just a side thing thrown in. Half the time, there are not even monsters on the map to hunt.

Once you get to higher levels, you HAVE to pay money to move on. Upgrades will end up having an upgrade time of literally YEARS, there are upgrades that take over 1,500 days! There are speed ups, but they run out very quickly, forcing you to buy more or buy an instant upgrade pack. The way it forces you to spend money really sucks. You meet both good and bad people. I still really live the game.
