See the help page for how to trigger the special match while using the "MAX Stats" option.

Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, the buggy, submarines, airships, and other modes of transportation may cease to move when the player embarks or disembarks. Currently, the only fix is to restart the game from a data file saved before the bug occurred. We recommend saving frequently and/or utilizing multiple save files. This bug occurs most often when players embark or disembark while extremely close to the terrain, as well as during time-sensitive activities for events.

Please note that the game will not save automatically when escaping from a battle on the world map, even if the Auto Save function is set to the ON setting.

I love that they ported this game to android. Its a great classic I remember well. I dont know if anyone still looks at these comments but the cloud save feature has been disabled for a long time now and at this point I'm fairly certain it will remain off. Its not a deal breaker I just miss having it. Also not sure if they incorporated controller support like they mentioned a few years ago. EDIT: looks like they finally released an update and fixed cloud storage. Thank you.

Of Square's FF ports, this one is by far the laziest. The ui is an overlayed controller- you can't tap an item to interact or tap a menu item to select. There is no autosave feature, so you can't play in short bursts, but have to go to the next save point or lose all progress. Still a great game, but playing mobile feels like you're playing on an emulator, unlike the port of ff3, ff5, ff6, or ff9.

I love the game! Yall did a excellent job on it! The only issue I keep running up on, is during the first launch with cid. When it does the flashback of when he had to stop, the counter gets to 00:00 it's like it freezes, not actually freeze but just like the gameplay is in a loop. I've tried reloading n doing it again, same thing over n over. If you can look into it, I'd really appreciate it cause I love this game!

For the most part, this is a good port. Responsive on-screen controls and some QoL upgrades for modern players. The biggest issue I have encountered is the mini-games now going so fast they are almost un-playable. This has included the bike section leaving Midgard and the Speed Square *making getting the Umbrella damn near impossible*. Now free on Play Pass it's good enough for a run through but if you are the collector type that wants a perfect file pick up the Steam version instead.

It's the game. It's a classic for a reason. They seemed to have added a couple little things, like being able to turn off encounters, which haven't seemed overly interesting to me. The controls aren't great. Usable, but not great. And then sections like the motorcycle part don't port right and play in hyper speed - that part really isn't playable.

I have been enjoying this blast from the past! As far as the safe I was able to crack it each time (I died a couple times) within about 5 tries. I switched my controls from the floating toggle to the directional pad so that I could more accurately put in the code. I haven't come across any lag or bugs. The only problem I have is accessing the world map so I can see where I am going.

The game itself is great and I love it, but there is a glitch where the controls desync from where you are actually pressing, and this persists even after I close and reopen the game. The issue is that the tap detection is off center from the buttons, in my case I have to tap to the left of where the button should be. That's the only issue I've found so far though. I hope you guys fix this glitch because it really sucks unless I hook up my switch pro controller or my bluetooth keyboard. Thankyou

I got this free via the Play Pass. If you're buying this, wouldn't recommend. FFVII will always be amazing, but the controls here are so clunky and unoptimized. Other versions on other platforms will warrant a better experience, in addition to having things like speeding up time, invincibility, if you so choose to use that. It might cost a little extra on other platforms but for the controls alone it's worth it. At bare minimum this game should have a way to connect Bluetooth controllers.

Great to be able to play this classic on my phone, however there is one issue. The virtual controls are not aligned properly (on my device at least). Where you see the buttons, the actual spot to press is a little to the left. Changing the layout does not help and can actually make things more difficult to play, increasing the the space between the shown buttons and where the input area actually is.

Absolutely amazing, perfect so far. Saves just fine for me, even closed the game completely and my save was still there. Controls are great too, people keep saying it's bad, but I think it's fine. It's either a d-pad or an analog stick with octagonal direction. Graphics are great, audio ?sucks? ( Might be my phone tbh), some nice additions to the options as well. Finally!!

God damn awesome. This is one of the best games of all time and this version plays even better than the original playstation one. The characters, the story and the music get me every time. This game is timeless. Edit:Playing several months later, I started to have issues with crashing. I set phone to "pro gamer" mode, which blocks notifications and limits background apps from running. This solved the issue, so if anyone else has this issue, check background apps and ram usage. Hope it helps you

FF7 is my all-time favorite game of any genre. I have played through the OG probably 10 times or so because of all the different release versions. I cannot recommend it enough. Having said that, I can only give 4 stars. Simply because of this version. There are some simple Mobile QOL features that would have made massive improvement. For example, add a save anywhere option. I understand not having one on a console, but this is mobile for Pete's sake... Controls kinda suck, but layout is fine.

The game itself is as good as it always was. However porting it to Android introduced some annoying effects. Depending on the screen (e.G. World map, Chocobo Racing, Motocycle Racing, Snowboarding) the frame rate drops really low, sometimes under 1 fps. This makes progressing through the game really annoying at times. The last fight with Sephiroth took really long, since every super nova animation took more than 5min. Better to play on PC or Playstation if available.

Final Fantasy 7 is a wonderful game but this version has several flaws: The touch controls only work in left landscape mode. If I rotate my phone the other way, the controls don't respond properly. The music in the over world starts over every time you begin and finish a battle. The motorbike level (both occurrences) plays at such a fast speed that it's unplayable. The audio in snowboarding level is broken and plays distorted notes. Hoping these issues can be patched sometime soon.

It's my first time playing this. I've played 65+ hours, spending lots of time doing the optional content. So I like this version, I think it plays well on the phone and has nice controller support. I like that the button layout changes during intermissions so it is much simpler, and the rollercoaster minigame is fun to play in this version. However, we are not given a way to load a different save, or even to main menu. It's slightly annoying because we're forced to force close it just to go back.

I love that FFVII is on Android! That said, it wasn't without its issues. On a few occasions the text letters in the dialogue boxes glitched out to where you couldn't read them and some character pictures disappeared from the menu; That along with slowdowns and occasional crashes. Also, later in the game the cursor delayed when navigating through the menus. That was quite annoying. Droid Turbo running Lollipop. EDIT: 1/5/17 This is definitely running more optimized now that Marshmallow is installed. Awesome

So far so good with this game in the edge 6 plus. The color scheme is way "off" when videos are playing but is fine with the rest of the game. Sound us just like the original. I haven't had issue with the known 'bug' but since it is known I can't fault the developer on it. Especially when they tell us about it beforehand. The controls are adequate and the on-screen variations of the controls work well. Can't wait for more updates to hopefully fix the color scheme and the big bug that they a

There's a controls bug on v1.0.38. You need to hide your navigation bar in Android settings. For me, I changed navigation type to swipe gestures from buttons and also hid edge panels and gesture hints. Now you can play on full screen too 🙂. Then the virtual buttons sent input exeactly where you pressed them on the screen. I guess it's because the devs didn't take into account the navbar pushing the input zones to the side but not the UI. Sloppy programming!

This port was very well done, the buttons aren't obtrusive to play or get in the way of being able to see the screen at all, and I personally haven't experienced any bugs or glitches (that are game breaking or anything more than a minor inconvenience) while playing across multiple android devices. A timeless classic, well worth picking up whether you're experiencing it for the first time or coming back to play it again.

FF7 is one of my favorite games of all time. That said, this port could benefit from an update allowing the blue bars on the sides of the screen to be changed to other colors/patterns, etc. I would love to see an option to make them black so they don't cause burn in on an OLED screen. Also, please make this game work on external displays. FF6 Pixel Remaster works great on Samsung DeX (external display). I'd love to see this work like that too!
