They ruined a perfect game. Extremely unbalanced. Controls are rough as well. Very disappointing, this is one of the most unbalanced games I've ever played, the original was perfectly balanced.

It's a fantastic game, beautifully ported to mobile, and works flawlessly except for one single issue: the battles are too slow, even when setting the fastest speed. It seems like the framerate during battles goes down to 20-25, the animations are too slow and there's no way to speed them up (except for summons), the messages are too slow, and random encounters are very frequent. Disabling encounters is only possible after ALL maps have been explored to 100%... I don't wanna go through it again.

Can't Beat Golbez. I'm hoping someone can help cuz I really like this game but I think something may be glitching. Everything I hit this boss with cures him. The walkthroughs say I should be able to detect his weakness with Libra but everytime I cast it nothing happens. Am I missing something? please help! LOL

Does not show up for Android TV devices on my account anymore after the last update. So I cannot update to 2.0.3 and cannot reinstall on my Nvidia shield TV if I was to remove it and need to reinstall. That's the only reason I purchased it. Please flag it as Android TV compatible again. Then I will change to five stars.

Great port of the 3d remake. Plays nice and has been good and stable for me. I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it because I didn't care for the 3d art style but as I play through it I find that it works. Neat little cut-scenes with good voice acting, great version of the score, battle system is complete like the jp version on the SNES. Haven't finished it yet but so far it's really great!

The newest update fixed the cloud save issue. Standard JRPG. I went in knowing nothing specific about it. Requires grinding, especially for rare drop items. What it has going for it most is the storyline; I actually shed tears in some scenes! Wait for a sale, then buy FF IV (3D remake).

I truly wanted to give my favorite FF here a higher rating. But after redownloading this onto my tablet and hoping to relive my childhood....Getting a constant freeze during the Zeromus fight; right after having used the Crystal to change him. This is hardly the first (or the second) time during my 1st playthrough the game froze on me. Protip: DO NOT BUY EITHER THIS OR FF4 THE AFTER YEARS on Android devices. Pure bug ridden disgraces of these classic games. A damn shame...

I haven't played Final Fantasy IV for over a decade and had fond memories of it. I was afraid I'd ruin the nostalgia playing the updated version. I'm happy to say that's not the case. The updates added to the Game rather than taking away from it. It's beautiful visually. I haven't had glitches whatsoever. The fact I was able to select a higher level of difficulty is amazing. Well worth paying for. I've spent so much on P2P Games and this reminded me you can spend 1/100 and get more for it.

Final Fantasy IV is a phenomenal game whether you play this version, the DS version, or the original and its ports. I bought this way back when I had a galaxy 2, and now with my note 10 it isn't even starting. It asks to download game data and keeps saying my connection was lost. My service is good, I'm 3 feet away from my router, and I got this phone last week. I'd really like to play through this game again since we're dealing with this whole quarantine thing, so hopefully I get some help.

As far as I can tell, it's literally the same as the DS version (but widescreen, better graphics & sound quality). I personally feel like Normal mode is the equivalent to the DS version but online resources say it's Hard mode. Fantastic game, I love the added cutscenes. It would be a very difficult decision between this & the Pixel Remaster for the first playthrough 🤔

Some upgrades to the original system beyond the graphics include: picking up some optional skills like auto-potion or bard song, being able to hold the typical #99 of consumables and not having a set item count, some bosses seem to have been overhauled to need more of the puzzle solving during combat instead of just brute force. As enjoyable as the first time around on the SNES.

Had the same issue as all other. Kept getting error while downloading additional data. DO NOT BUY until Square enix acknowledges and fixes this. Refunded. UPDATE: I repurchased this game after it was finally updated. I'm happy to day that the game is working great so far! I am about 30 minutes in and the game looks and runs beautifully. Great voice acting and music as well. Definitely worth a purchase if you enjoy classic JRPGs.

As someone who's played multiple final fantasy games, including the originals of one through six, amoung others, I can say this is the point in the series where the stories really start to develop and get good. This is when it really takes hold as more of a cinematic masterpiece than just a game. It's one of the best in the series. I really enjoy the android versions and they give that feel of having "something extra and new" that sets them a part from the original versions.

Final Fantasy IV was the first RPG that I had played, way back in 1991, when it was marketed as Final Fantasy II, (but, that's another story). This is a port of the Nintendo DS remake and was the main reason that I was envious of DS owners. Fast forward to modern day and FF4 is here on Android in all it's DS remake glory. Bluetooth Controller works VERY well. However, you don't really need a controller to play a turned based RPG. My inner child is very pleased with this purchase. ❤️

I hadn't played this one before, so I decided to buy it and can say after playing it, it's pretty solid. Compared to ff3's remake, the battles are in lower fps, and some times the menus, combined with the perspective, can make it hard to use beneficial spells, but nonetheless it works well, has solid gameplay, great story, cool characters, about everything you could ask for in a final fantasy title.

First, graphically, love what you've done! This is what I'm sure they envisioned, in 1991. Speech? A bit spotty Just like translation so long ago. Biggest gripe?? You sped the title screen music UP!!! Really?! That's probably the most beautiful of the entire series, and you make it UP TEMPO?! Come on.....other than that, and a couple plot changes through dialogue, well done.

Updated review: the game crashes if you try to change settings. The game itself is great. Its also a serviceable port, but Im changing the review to 1 star because if you try to go into the settings menu it completely kills the game and you have to uninstall and redownload it just to play. Unacceptable for the price. For a big company with the resources of Squenix, it's doubly unacceptable. Fix this.

It's a little buggy very occasionally. For most of the time it works great and doesn't crash during gameplay. It does crash upon opening the app but it works a second time. I love how I can connect my mouse to play on my phone while casting to my TV. Zero lag/delay and adds a bit of challenge to it as I need to be precise. You do need some patience as trying to mash the screen to make a selection might not work. I love it!

The quality of this port is top notch and I feel I am playing something designed for a true handheld. The graphics look great, the voice acting in cut scenes is surprisingly well done, and the game will last you dozens of hours. One quibble is the amount of taps for certain actions (cast thunder on all enemies) but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Works great with a quality stylus on the nexus 7. CLOUD SAVING!!!
