I have a preference for Tap Mode, but in FFIII PR, Tap Mode doesn't allow the player to navigate hidden pathways, requiring a switch to Joystick Mode and back just to navigate secret passages. Also, progress to job levels isn't visible on the menu, (it was visible on the NES version). Fix these issues and I'll adjust my rating.

I love the pixel final fantasy games and being able to play ff3 for the first time is a great addition to the collection. I play on a Huawei p8lite(2017) and it runs fine. After the inial loading there can be a bit of stutter but it soon resolves itself. The graphs are great, no issues like the water not loading as seen from other devices so for me it's a perfect experience. The on screen moving takes a bit of practise but overall is not a game spoiler. Also the font is fine. 6hrs in and love it

MANDATORY ONLINE CONNECTION DRM prevents me from playing away from wifi. The touch dpad is horrible, with NO option for gamepad support. Tap controls don't work at all for hidden areas. Battle UI is terrible. Text is incredibly small. The game runs at about 20fps, despite me owning a decent phone. Awful port. VERY AWFUL PORT.

Great remaster for the original Final Fantasy. While it doesn't have the bonus content from the DS era and beyond, it does well in perfecting the original JRPG experience and adapting it to a mobile device. It stands out from the rest of the pixel remaster series in that it allows the English audience to play an official 2D release for the very first time

The battle systems look nice, okay, I'll give it that, but the game froze in 5 minutes of play. Literally went to a black screen. Also can't switch between apps as I need for some reason, because the game stops working if I do. Square Enix, please don't let this game fail like some of your other ports (AKA Chrono Trigger). I loved this game as a kid, so don't let me down!

Still major bugs. Everything seems to run good if you stay with the starting classes, black, white, red mages, warrior. But when I tried to switch "jobs" to scholar, ranger, thief, knight. Not a single one gains mp as some are supposed to, yes, even after sleeping at an inn or using a restoration well. So all spells become useless in other job classes.

This is one of the worst ports I've ever seen. This game was for the NES made back maybe in the late 1980's early 90s. When this game came out it was probably 12 kilobytes maybe 6 kb in size. It is now over 500MB. I don't care how remastered it is, there is something wrong with that. The game crashes constantly, probably due to memory leaks. It runs worse than it did on NES by far. Even walking around on the world map is bad. Purchase at your own risk. Maybe the 3d version is better.

Gorgeous remaster. I love the game, I love the controls. The only issue is the difficulty. I feel I level far too fast. With the addition of maps that let me hit loot with maximum efficiency, I should be underleveled when compared to other playthroughs. Very much not the case. With a "hard mode" or maybe an enemy exp reduced mode, this game would get it's fifth star. Thank you for a wonderful remaster dev team! ♡

Doesn't run long enough to start playing after intro cutscenes. Never had problems with a game running so slowly on my device before. Takes at least 2 minutes to load in between individual cutscenes at the beginning also. Music works just fine, but everything else is very slow and barely responsive. Not very satisfied with this, and I hope these issues will be fixed asap.

I love this game as much if not more than the other two. I dont think its my phone, but when I turn my screen off while playing, no matter what im doing in-game, when I unlock my screen the game is frozen and i cannot continue without closing the app and re-opening. The first 2 games did it every now and then, but this game does it 100% of the time. I submitted a bug report on your website, please address this issue, as i know im not the only one.

The Definitive version of this game. I've loved Final Fantasy since the first one on my NES, it was my introduction to rpgs and first vg ost to grab me. All of this is to say that this pixel remaster imho does the best job of matching the feel and tone of it's original ost (wish the ff1 battle music sounded more skulking like og for etc). On top of that, it is easily the most fun version of this game, featuring a better overall balance. This one's special.

Cant even answer texts while playing, since switching apps exits you back to the main menu. And a single-player game shouldnt require always-online DRM. The times i lose access to my signal are the times i most want a diversion like this. That all said, the core game is still as good as it ever was. But unless the problems are fixed, you're better off playing some other version.

Playing the 3D version of this having finished the first 2 games on PS 1. I was hoping to finish up the NES era of Final Fantasy. Hopefully it runs decent on Android 14

My first time through this one I wasn't really enjoying myself. After stopping mudway and starting again but playing with a different mind set I really came to love this game. FF3 introduces the job system, as all fans already know. It overwhelmed me at first but with a fresh approach I found it to be very rewarding though I wish the jobs were a little better spread out through the game.

This game has some issues with the control scheme, such as an imperfect virtual D-pad and tap controls not working in hidden passages at all. There is also no controller support. Fortunately there is an auto save feature, but it's easy to miss and I did miss it for quite some time. Overall though, the game is extremely good, spectacular music and animations and the gameplay is as good as ever even if there is some rebalancing.

This version of FINAL FANTASY III is pretty good overall. I love the 2D style and the music's awesome. There are a couple of things that could be improved on though. This game takes a bit over 3 minutes to load on my device. I don't know if it's because of my phone's age, or the game's file size, but the original version of FFII I have on my phone loads almost instantly. The game also needs wifi, but it's probably because of the achievement system. Overall, this is a good game for someone new.

One of Square's classics that experiments with the job-change system. However, unlike other party-building RPGs, this one doesn't rely much on balance - only the right jobs in some situations. It was an okay experience. Even though I rate this 5 stars for effort to remake the game from the original Famicom version, I'd personally recommend FFV more overall.

The game is great, but this game runs horribly on my phone. I can run the 3d remakes of 3 and 4 and they run perfectly. I can run way more demanding games wonderfully, but this 2d game lags, and is unresponsive consistently. Top it off there is no controller support? Why? I would recommend looking at reviews for the p.c version and make your decision if you want to play this game. It's a shame there is no console version. Final Fantasy is my favorite series and this game is a classic.

Once again, this is an excellent port of FF3, and especially exciting because we never got the 2D version in the West! Also, once again, my same small gripes with FF1 and FF2 exist here: the font is small, the battle menu buttons are small, and the virtual thumbstick is difficult to move; however, the thumbstick issue becomes a bit more of an annoyance in this game, because you need to use it to move through secret passages. It won't allow you to do that with the (much better) tap controls

The game has definitely not gone through the finishing quality checks that the remasters of ff1 and ff2 did. It's playable, but you'll want to save A LOT. Anything from black screen, touch controls just stopping, or game breaking bugs like your ship getting permanently stuck. I encounter something like this every 10 - 15 minutes or so. It's a shame since the 1st two games in the series played so smoothly. SE really needs to fix this game up. It's not like they don't have the capacity.
