You can ignore the older negative reviews (probably depending on your device maybe mine works fine as a newer phone) they seemed to have fixed all the problems that they used to have. The game is nothing like the previous dimensions game but it's still a fun offline game.

Another interesting side final fantasy game. It was surprising to learn that it uses some ideas from chrono cross's canceled sequel. While Dimensions 2 is an offline version of a gatcha game, it feels like a Mystic Quest homage at times. When playing don't expect a mainline Final Fantasy game, it's a side game that blends several different games together.

Unimaginative and boring. Borrows HEAVILY from the actual final fantasy games, even for naming NPCs. No challenge to be found, even in post game, optional content, which drags on and feels like a chore. The dialogue is TERRIBLE. It reads like it was written by a child. The only improvement on the train wreck that was FFD1 is its 100% made for mobile and csn be picked up and put down easily. It isnt engaging at all though, so that makes it even easier to put down.

Nothing like FFD1. I'm disappointed, but that's my fault for not doing my homework. Square Enix makes my favorite games, so I won't give them a bad review over feeling like I picked the wrong game. I was at the end of FFD1 a couple days ago, and I bought this then thinking they would be similar. There are plenty of other games by the same company that would be more what I'm looking for. It seems like it may be fun when I feel like playing it, but make sure it's what you want before you buy it.

They finally fixed the screen scaling problem :) I haven't played the game much, but I think the idea of a paid offline version of a gacha game is great. Say what you will about the genre, but it sucks when a game is shut down and disappears from the world.

I have zero issues with the gameplay style. Im enjoying it. Although the resolution is messed up. Buttons I need to click are outside the screen and I cant click them. Unplayable. Since others have had this issue and it hasn't been fixed, this game should be pulled from the market.

In a word: unplayable. No, seriously. The aspect ratio of the screen cuts off the entire perimeter of the gameplay and UI, denying you access to necessary buttons and menu functions. In otherwords, it is literally impossible to play this game on your phone. And given that the last update was in 2017, this game is essentially dead content. It should be removed from the Google Play Store and anyone who paid for it should be given a full refund. For shame, Square Enix.

I've owned this game now for 3 years and they still have not updated the game to fit modern displays. Almost insulting really as they have updated games older than this. Square Enix Mobile team are lazy as hell. Edit: added 2 stars as they FINALLY updated the game to fit on modern mobiles. Problem is the game is very much a free to play game converted to premium and it shows.

I'm 20 hrs into the game now and it's still sucky. Save your money and get something else. All in all, craptacular. The first FFD was a great throwback to the original FF games right from the start, this is nothing like that. Its like a combination of the mobil games FFRK and FFBE but you have to pay for it. Unsurprisingly the story seems good which is usually the case with Final Fantasy but 2 hrs in I rank this well below 1992s Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

I was a little disappointed with this game considering how much I loved the original FFD. It feels like the creators went full on lazy mode on the creation process, the story was borrowed from Chrono Trigger with a predestination paradox tied in, on that note - one of the characters in the game strangely resembles a dollar store version of Magus. The script felt weak as if they had really cut the budget when it came to the writing team. Overall it is an ok game.

It's NOT Dimensions-only-better. Don't expect it to be anything as good as FF Dimensions. It is okay for what it is. It's a port of an online-only game, and it stays true to its roots. I got it to play when I knew I wouldn't have internet connectivity, since that's how the original Dimensions was, but this game required internet access. No reason for that, as far as I can tell. Even beyond that aspect, it's sapped out a lot of the fun of the Final Fantasy enterprise. Any FF game is better.

It's pretty bad. This game felt like a rushed version of FF Mystic Quest. The characters are uninteresting, skills appear to be randomly allocated, the story was boring. Just go play FF Dimensions 1 instead. Even if you've played it before already, another playthrew of that game will be better than this game. (Note I didn't finish this game, I got bored and stopped playing in the middle of chapter 2.)

It is definitely the worst Final Fantasy that I've ever played (and I played a lot of them, big fan of the series). The plot is terrible and while telling the story about time travelling doesn't capture the concept of time travel in any way. The dialogs between characters are dull. The characters themselves may be ok in concept, but have nothing behind that. The battles are too simplistic, the animation of characters is scary. Music is good, but becomes too repetitive too fast. Not recommended.

Not the same game play as the first Final Fantasy Dimensions. There is no exploring. I ended up playing for the side quests because some are funny. Shops all sell the same items and is hard to make money. I find it strange that the first Final Fantasy Dimensions was my favorite final fantasy game ever played and Final Fantasy Dimensions 2 was the worst!

Nothing to do with Final Fantasy Dimensions. This is just a cheap flash game. No exploration, you just select the quest through a basic menu and it load a boring series of battle waves with a typical JRPG chat before and after the battles. It is really the gameplay of a free game for a premium price. Sadly, the refund option is not available... They really used the name of a great game to get our money with a generic Android JRPG.

I love this game, Chrono Trigger lite, the would-be Chrono Break. if only this was ported to PC!

I can't play it because of the screen ratio. I literally can't see how much HP my top character has and it cut off the auto button as well. I think the menu button is also no longer visible. I remember on my pixel 3 it was bad, but I could still hit the buttons, even though they were about 70-80 percent off off-screen, but this is way worse. I can't even save the game when I want to and I'm at the mercy of the auto save. Are there any plans to fix this or no?

This may not be a traditional FF game but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I think it has the potential to branch out on its own... If only it weren't for the title. Calling it Final Fantasy Dimensions II was a huge mistake because it's not a true sequel to the first, plus its primary premise is not about dimensions per se, but rather time-traveling. The characters' movements are fluid, but also really stiff at times. And honestly, both FFDs are too pricey as mobile-original games.

EDIT: The game has sizing issues with the Galaxy S 10+. even if i wanted to play it the top and bottom of the screen are missing . I thought I was buying the sequel to a very good game, I guess I was wrong. Don't waste your money on this one guys, it's nothing like Final Fantasy Dimensions. Plays more like Brave Exvius but with 0 exploration. Sadly by the time you figure it's not what you thought it was it's too late to get a refund. Very disappointed in Square Enix for this.
