I really like this app. Would give it 5 if the web version and mobile version used the same maps. If I create fields on the app (google maps) it does not fit precisely on the web version because web version uses bing. I would like to have the web version also use google maps so that created fields are not offset

This app is perfect for a diversified farm. The free version is full of useful record keeping. The real life overhead view of the farm adds a level of tangibility which makes laying out tasks easy to manage. The facto that it can be shared among other people and provide chat is especially useful!

Got this app as a farmhand trying to learn the fields. I Have the free version. So far very handy. Would like a check list option in the tasks so you could gather supplies for taskes, and being able to enter specific animals and treatments would be nice.

Worked well until I had loaded all my information and then to access my notes I have to upgrade as access to my notes is locked. This is my IP and locking the information that I have loaded into the app is no better than blackmail ransom. I asked how to export my info and I was ignored, but was bombarded with requests to write a review. As pensioners, we are unable to afford the "upgrade" monthly fees or I wouldn't have downloaded "free". I will be deleting my account. Can't post 0 stars.

Very nice and easy to use. Ads, are, necessary, at least for the free version, ah well, they aren't too bad. So far I am impressed with Fieldmargin, but I haven't tried any others, still, it is very helpful. I only wish there was a ( Really CHEAP) version for hobby farm homestead types like myself who don't have any spare cash, and don't actually make money -- yet anyway, and likely never will, but who would still like a less expensive way to get and keep everything organized. So it's nice.

Yeh look it's a good app, but I think it would help if you updated your satellite images every year or so. The other day I was trying to look for my boundary fence in a bunch of scrub and forest, which we made last year and couldn't find it. This was because of the images which were taken a few years earlier, so i could not mark the boundary. Other than that a great app

Really a great tool and wonderful way of keeping record and up to date with what needs to happen day to day on a farm

Been using the middle tier verion of fieldmargin for four months now. Seems to work well on both samsung phone and ipad. Really practical functions but still simple to use and edit info and to view paddock history. I haven't used gps for mapping or yield maps so can't comment on that. Looking forward to the livestock side of things to be implemented- will make app better again if able to have cropping and livestock records in one place. Staff have been helpful and promp with and issues I've had.

If you've ever wanted a farm management app that works on all devices and covers every aspect of your farm, this is the app for you. It's intuitive, has lots of features, and just works. It works offline too. Allows you to stack those job lists up and take photos for reference later. Easy to get your staff on board and can even do print outs via your PC. 10/10 can't live without it now.

Field margin has been very helpful where I am able to map out fields, describe what they are used for, create a "to-do" list for each field so that I dont forget which includes setting deadlines and notifications via the app. It helps a lot that I can save "history" onto my fields to compare annually. I use it for forestry. There are many more features, but all in all I am very pleased and the service is great.

After taking over a very run down property, with no maps/info from previous owner, this app has been a godsend. Walking fences and dropping notes at posts made mapping paddocks easy. The ability to mark a spot where you need to do some work, so that you and your other workers can find it easily, is a great time saver. We are using the essentials plan, which serves us well in a grazing situation and is very reasonably priced. Service from the app staff has been very good and prompt.

Great app which has been happily picked up by our estate team including some more technophobic colleagues. Great interface. Friendly, responsive developers. Task planning is fun, overlaying uploaded maps is very useful. GPS functionality patchy (drawing areas by walking shows promise but doesn't work well) - this is more down to relying on phone GPS. Desktop satellite map images are out of date which is a frustration when planning work in the office. Really enjoyable, huge potential.

great product, you need to be disciplined enough to keep inputting the data.

Wish that I could import a GPX for trails on our farm. Which comments could be edited, but nbd I just add another comment. Otherwise it's awesome! It is good for managing a woodlot.

Struggled to use this app. i wanted to measure my land in area..plus measure hedges to be cut...to neatly be able to show 2 different farm contractors ...no instructions ... not user friendly BUT a great idea Now i need to disentangle myself from future payments being taken...although a free trial...

Super easy to setup farm maps and use features. Subfields were just added and are needed feature, though using them is not quite as clear as other features. Developers responded to issues quickly. I hope the grazing features keep developing to get closer to other apps. Yet, this is one of the few that cover both farm operations and grazing, as well as livestock management.

You spend 40 min setting up your parameters until it tells you you need to up upgrade. I looked everywhere before starting to try to get an idea about pricing. Just put it somewhere I can see it before I waste my time. Now I'm just irritated and won't pay out of principal. $14/mo basic. $34mo Plus $60/mo Pro. Plus is most popular. Not for me.

Not bad, but did they really forget to put a scale bar on a map? If you've already got your farm set, it's fine to just manage everything, but if you're trying to plan a new field and you want it to be say 100 yards by 100 yards square for irrigation purposes, you can't really plan out a hundred yards square unless you already know exactly 100 yards on your land. It's a map, regardless, it should have a scale bar. Maps have scale bars.
