Awful controls. The biggest challenge is figuring out how to reproduce the exact effect the designer had in mind on a different mobile device. Uninstalled. What's more, I will avoid this studio's games in the future, as the only way to get any decent feel for the game is to pay for an ad-free version; the game plays ads after each level. Bah.

Overall pretty good. You can do 11 of 20 puzzles without buying anything but you must watch a lot of ads. To access the bonus free puzzles (19 & 20) you have to have found all three notes for each of levels 1-9. The notes are stupid. They have no meaning and some of them can only be accessed by doing something of combination of things that you'd never guess. I had to watch walkthroughs on youtube to get some of the notes. I'd do away with the notes. Good game but don't plan to buy more.

It was fun but the full game is locked behind a paywall. Finished the demo in just a few short hours. Not all of the puzzles are easily underatandable in terms of directions. For example on puzzle requires you to push buttons in a specific order. It never dawned on me to push them backwards and I was dumbfounded until i watched an ad for a video.

I've played each game in the series multiple times and love them. My only complaint is with the pricing. I've already purchased at least 3 of the games' full version on an iPhone (ive since switched to android) at 2.99 for at least Faraway 1 & 2. I figured I'd have to repurchase the games on my android but also thought they'd be the same price as on the apple store. They're not--each game is 4.99. I love the games but shouldn't have to pay extra for playing on a different operating system

bug in level 9? with the tower of buttons and 2 levers. sometimes the levers don't move the tower, so you can't press the proper buttons. some of the puzzles could be better too, but I can't blame the dev for shipping over perfection. some of the note finding is like a pixel hunt, bad. clever use of the glowing door keys to unlock secrets.

I would've LOVED to play this game, unfortunately when ANY ad pops up, which is does every single time you start a stage, end a stage, or go to the menu and tap on a stage to play, or a doing practically anything. When you finally do get through the ad, you can't click on the x to get through the ad to play. Even if you do the video, you still can't click the x, you can't close the app, then open it again bc an ad comes when you click it. Don't wait your time.

Really enjoyed the puzzles. Finding the slips of paper that added to the story was also great. Maybe when I have more money I can pay too unlock the whole game. Only the first right levels are free. The controls and seamlessness of puzzles really helped this game stand out from typical escape rooms. Also enjoyed the outdoor feel and ambience.

I loved this role playing game, it is intriting. But it's a little difficulty, no hints except one. So your in the blind. They want a rating & purchase before you can get more hints & no ads. I understand you want to get paid. But you can't paid for a game someone may not like in the end or able to get thru 3rd base sort of speak. It seems like an good game to play but you need to lighten up some and don't make it so difficult to enjoy. At this point I wouldn't want to spend my money & not play.

NOTE: The game, like many others in the world, is not 100% free. That money goes towards the developers. Too many people crying that their lives are not 100% subsidized. Seriously, get a job or grow up a little. Good games generate costs. REVIEW: Such a great little game. The puzzles are interesting and challenging and make quite a bit of good sense. The graphics are easy on the eyes and not confusing and overall I'm very happy with the purchase. 10/10

I wouldn't listen to those who tell you that there are too many ads or the puzzles are too easy/hard. Frankly, the ads are worth it. This game has a great mysterious storyline that revolves around finding your way through ancient ruins while running into challenging puzzles and finding interesting notes that progress the story along the way. I've bought the full version and completed the game with all notes found so I know for a fact that it's not too hard either. All in all, great game.

I bought all the levels/no ads deal and it was going great till I started to encounter some bugs in level 8 and can't move forward. The puzzles and hints get kind of confusing. I think this developer's Doors series is a lot better in terms of visuals and content, though this game is longer and more complex. Also the game movement is jolting (I have to close my eyes during the super fast fly walking that seems to be the only way to move forward. Makes me nauseous lol)

It's a decent puzzle game, however, I have an issue with level 5, I finished the 1st door, but the second won't open. I did the puzzle correctly and even got the hint to check if I missed anything, restarted the level 4 times and still won't let me open the 2 door... camera is tricky since it only allows for some mobility in certain stages, and the notes are pretty hard to find. I've gone over the first 3 levels and still can't find all the notes

I really enjoyed playing this game. It was easy to learn how to play. The graphics aren't that bad. It's what I'd expect from a free game. The ads are somewhat annoying. Two ads before I get into the actual level, and after each level is a bit much. The story is good, given to you as you collect scattered notes throughout each level. The puzzles seem to get more intricate as you progress, but start easy. Overall I think this game is worth a shot if your looking for a good puzzle game.

It's a fun game. The puzzles get more challenging as you go on. I liked this enough I'm now playing through the entire Faraway series. This is on Play Pass so I don't see the ads. My only criticism is that the Master of Destruction achievement seems to be unattainable. I've gone through the game level-by-level, including the secret level, multiple times. So have family members. No one has gotten Master of Destruction. Too bad there's no way to see how many pots have been missed.

Just an OK game. Not a lot of free movement like other escape games; you can only explore where the items you need are. Makes it easy, but can be annoying when you tap and it auto zooms to what you're supposed to look at. Also it's not free after level 9, which is a shame. For such an easy game, why would I pay to finish the "story"? There are more in-depth, challenging puzzle/escape games with 30-50+ levels all for free.

Could have been a five star game, but a couple of things need improvement. Most of the puzzles were great, but some had answers that made no sense. I have no idea where the codes come from in the long stairwell. Hints just tell you the answer, and don't always say where you get it. The worst part is the lasers at the end- absolutely frustrating! I'm pretty sure I qualify to perform brain surgery after passing those. You have to replay levels to get notes, which is super annoying.

Quirky, fun puzzles, i sensed a deeper level just a bit to clever for me to grasp. I never could find all the notes, but one of the notes has a strange sequence of numbers at the bottom that almost look like coordinates on a map. Half of the game is free and then there are another 10 or so levels that are charged the premium rate if a whopping five dollars, which i would say yes to. Its fun

The game is alright. The puzzles are creative. The game still is a bit difficult to navigate though. Many times the game would take me to a different area of the puzzle when I was simply trying to look around my current location. The other reason for the low rating is that my achievements are not unlocking. I've found every single note in the game and I have not gotten the notes achievement. There should also be a way to just continue a completed level to break any missing pots.

This app really surprised me, and was so much fun. Finding all of the secret notes was an exciting challenge! I 100% completed it in my free time in about 3-4 days, and would play any sequels they decide to put out. For other puzzle gamers: The navigation throughout the game (and 2nd bonus level with the rotating center) gave me Myst vibes. There was also an a-ha moment reminiscent of The Witness' use of perspective that I liked.

It really starts well, and the concept is there. The problem is that in an attempt to make it challenging it dissolves from actual puzzles into obscure nonsense. Not like the puzzles are hard to interpret, they just aren't puzzles. It's often just giving you tools and instead of giving you knew clues they use interpret art and expect you to interpret the art as they intended. It's a pointless exercise in guessing and ruins the game part way through. Basically it's too vague.
