Not sure how it's rated 5 but this is what I have done: - Purchase and download the app - Run the app - Use the mic to record a note I received an error that I can't record because I don't have permissions, though the app didn't even ask to enable any permissions. Got to the app settings to manually enable permissions but permissions option seemed disabled.

This is a very flexible app, in fact the only one I've found that allows so many fonts, sizes and colours within a document, not just a document colour, but to change a colour or font mid sentence is very useful for highlighting subjects etc. You can export to PDF via cloud 🌥 print and the developer is responsive

I paid for this some time ago to remove advertisements and obtain all functionality. Now the programmers introduced a subscription scheme for some features, without any possibility to purchase them for good. So instead of enhancing and improving the app to sell more copies, they figured that it's easier to milk their existing customer base ad infinitum -- and all the negative feedback has been removed. In light of the abundant availability of superior note apps, this greedyware was uninstalled.

App was once great, dev got greedy and and changed it to subscription. Like most people I despise subscription based apps that have absolutely no features that should be considered reasonably justified in asking subscription fees like for example streaming tv/movies apps or an app providing multiple premium news sources where you are getting new content on the fly whenever you want for a variety of news sources you like to read, to me that's justified, not freakin note taking app, so ridiculous.

EZ Notes is a great tool on so many levels. As a researcher, I can not only take super quick on-the-fly ideas as I make observations, but then later my time permitting, enter the amazing Editor with unbelievable formatting capabilities. EZ Notes truly makes a lasting impact on my life. Thank you!!!

it might be great but I need autosave option for all notes not just voice notes. this is a basic feature on almost all notes apps -- making it likely Ill forget to save the one note I needed to. Also: having a widgets is less important than sharing copied text to the app and developer says we cant have the latter due to the former. seems like basic features are sacrificed to implement nonessential fancy ones.

EDIT: Same trickery two years later: Paid versions should not have ads! ORIG: I bought the app before and, as many others have noted, the dev now wants me to subscribe to get "premium" features, such as folder renaming, backups, note colors, voice - all standard features of several similar apps, one of which I'll now use instead.

I just received a notice that the app has auto save. why did the app fail to save my grocery list. I went to the store and there was no grocery list to be found when in an hour it was not found like it use to be saved. I was using rich test as well as audio and I did not see that one had to use the arrows to back out of the program. Thanks for pointing out the differences. EZ is now crashing on me. Randomly lost my features with this random update. Those that paid for the app fully should get refunded as we were promised at least those features originally and just changing to subscription doesn't just take those rights away. As-Is means having things as the customer brought it. You can make a subscription version but at least leave the fully paid version "As-Is" when the customer brought it. This company pretty much just scammed their customers who brought the fully paid version.

This is quite impressive honestly, app lock or note lock would make it even better. Full database backup is another good feature to have. Note deletion seems to just archive it (haven't found that achive section yet), "clear storage" actually deletes the note. Curious how well it'll perform with 50k+ character entries? Love the "old but clean" UI style. Edit: oh, ok. Thanks. Guess it would be good to read help section sometimes :)

A good app overally, simple and way quicker to get in and out vs other brands. As someone who has been both a subscriber and non subscriber, I think the app must be sold on time based maybe 2 years, just like an anti-virus. Not this month to month subscription. But maybe business wise subscription makes sense. Also the adverts, for non subscribers - they come on in full volume. Very very annoying. Made me wander to Samsung notes and Evernote.

I purchased this app and my purchase included things that are no longer upheld by the developer. If you want to change from premium to a free app with a subscription model that's fine. But this developer has not gone about it the right way at all. Unless they restore the features advertised at point of sale for those that paid for them I would find a different app. You could subscribe then the next day find your subscription is renamed basic and all your features are in a new premium one.

I've hardly begun to use this delightful app and I'm already very impressed. It's easy to use but if you need support, the developer himself responds to emails within a few hours and spends as long as it takes to get you going again. Good old fashioned customer service from a real human still lives! I'll add more specific comments as I use the app more.

Edit: The following review is exactly how I feel about this app. It's incredible & I'm going to keep 5 stars as it's deserved. I downloaded this app during a promotional period & got premium for free. I lost apps when I switched devices. Do you mind upgrading me? * This is exactly what I've been looking for! I am a writer and this is going to make life so much easier for me. It spells everything out...no mistakes. I love it! I've already shared it with my Facebook friends. Thank you!

Okay after using the app for as while I wouldn't buy it. First of all, can't name different notes, folders are useless because it's just basically a tag for notes. Can't create create subfolders, the notepad lines are really tacky and continue the whole look of the app making it seem extremely outdated...I'm talking 2006 style. Overall there's way more issues but cbf going into it for an app I got for free, just wanted to give others a heads up that this isn't worth buying .

Don't waste your precious time and money with ez notes app..for the second time in one week I've opened up the app only to discover that my notes have disappeared. This app is also notorious for forgetting all of your format settings(i.e bold, italics. Bullet points and numbering highlights and more. You would thinkntjat an app that costs this much would have all of theseissues resolved. I'm totally disappointed and I regret that I bought into this Garbage.🗑 Canceling my subscription ASAP!

App has made basic features premium and subscription based. After the last update, it has made use of folders to sort notes a premium subscription feature. This is silly as its a very basic function. Now my notes are stuck in folders I cannot access without signing up for premium or jumping through hoops! Hilarious mistake. How could they not have considered releasing all notes in folders into the main window? Will be uninstalling. Used to love the app. Sorry to see it go.

Bought the "Pro" version December 30 2019. Never really used it much. Today I open it to find this developer is a money grubber who switched it to a paid subscription! This is not a Newspaper or Magazine! It is not a "Service" either! This is just a blatant means of scamming people's money. There are 2 maybe 3 Android apps which can qualify for a "Subscription" I barely recognize them because nothing is worth paying monthly for.

I have had this app for 2 years with no issues until it updated yesterday. Suddenly I cannot access items I had I folders and I cannot put new items in without a subscription? Are you kidding me? What have you done? This app was easy to use and now I will probably need to uninstall it. I refuse to pay a subscription for a note pad. Paper will work just fine.

Everything you could possibly want for creating notes, memos, reminders even doodles or hand written notes. I was pretty blown away by how many options there are for fonts alone plus the ability to use a ton of different colors. Naming your folders is not an option but with the way this is set up not really a problem. You have a bunch of categories instead, such as job, home, medical, ideas, etc plus the ability to have several in each category. You can also do voice notes.
