I thought this would be really handy but the app is extremely slow at the pump. It is much faster to swipe my Plenti card and use my speedpass than to try to connect via the app. Also, it refuses to work at some stations, even the one in my town where I originally saw the ad for the app! The Cumberland Farms SmartPay app works quickly and flawlessly, so why can't this one?? This app keeps getting worse instead of improving. constantly crashes and when it does work it is soooooo slooow!

It's far too unreliable, there are too many times it doesn't work for various reasons. The reliability was pretty decent until this fall when ExxonMobil started offering other contactless payment options, it may be perception or coincidence, but it appears ExxonMobil is having a hard time dealing with multiple contactless payment options. There also needs to be a way to get points when the app doesn't work, and having to type a long number in the terrible pump keypads is not the answer.

The app does its job, although a good percentage of stations I have stopped at while traveling do not take it. One of the things I find annoying is setting the pump number. If not scanning the pump QR code, you must scroll through the pump numbers, which can be very temperamental. I cannot control the numbers whizzing by to stop at the correct one. It always overshoots, and I end up selecting the wrong pump, so must cancel and start over. If you could just slow down the acceleration on the pump number scrolling, it would be greatly appreciated.

Update... Loved the old app, but since the update, the GPS function does not work anymore. It was great to simply open the app and it would locate the station. Now, the only way to use it is to scan the barcode on the pump. If I am forced to do that, I might as well just swipe the card. It looks like the app is focused on rewards (which I have no use for) instead of convenience (which is my only reason to use this app).

The idea was great. Emphasis on WAS. Simply open the app when you're at the station, choose the pump you parked in and authorize with a card in your phone. It would accumulate points with each purchase. But, THE LATEST UPDATE SUCKS! It crashes every time you try to use it. It eventually works but you need to try 6-10 times of crashing at different parts of the process. It's not a particular bug, it's an entire ecosystem of critters. By reading through the reviews it appears it affects everyone

Originally I left a 5 star rating, but as of the last update I most retract a few stars and here's why. The first system made it easier to just log in,pick the station, scroll to the pump you want, and click authorize the payment. But as of now you have to manually put in the pump number and reconfirm the payment choices, which slows down the process (not a huge deal but different from before). The second issue is locating the full Receipts. They used to get emailed

Never was as good as the keychain attachment and has always been too slow to call Speedpass. Simply using cards is faster. Now it doesn't work at all, continually saying something is wrong with the pump and to try another. Nothing is wrong with the pump. It works just fine when I pull out my credit card. The problem is Speedpass. Sent feedback but heard nothing from them.

The first time I used the app, I could not see how to use it to pay at the pump. There did not seem to be a scanner at the pump and nothing happened in the app. The station may not have been set up for it yet. The next time I used it, everything worked fine [@ the same station]. The app seems very intuitive, finds nearby stations & allows paying in the app and applying rewards in the app.

The application doesn't work at all locations like it should. It's either a location error or the application can't authorize the pump. This has been happening since the application came out for me. Its supposed to be a "SpeedPass" but it acts more like a "MaybePass". What's the point of the application if I have to go into the store. Then sometimes the registers mess up when you enter your rewards information. I have literally stood at the counter for 5 minutes. Very frustrating sometimes.

This used to be a really great app until about two to three months ago when there was an update to it and now it is basically useless and so I am changing my rating from 5 Stars to 1. It either crashes on load or it crashes in the middle of authenticating or practically anywhere in between at random. Sometimes it will simply minimize itself and I can bring it back up and try to keep going until it crashes and then you had to reload. S9+ w/Oreo. The devs need to get off their butts and fix this.

This app was GREAT and super easy to use... UNTIL THE RECENT UPDATE. I don't know why the entire app was redesigned, but now it's barely functional and so much more difficult to use. Today, it threw an error twice while trying to authorize my pump. I give up. I suggest reverting back to the old interface, as it seems like I'm certainly not the only one who absolutely can't stand using it anymore. Before the update, I would have given 4-5 stars. Not anymore :(

Won't waste time describing app functionality issues. The devs know what the problems are. *The rewards program has been great, but I have to do EVERYTHING manually, inside the station...manually swipe my rewards card (the simple rewards program card), manually pay, and everything else. The first time I tried to pay with the app, it set in motion a chain of events that ruined my week, wasted many hours of my time, and wrecked my finances. And, ironically, I couldn't even pay for fuel.

Absolutely horrible update. The new user interface is not intuitive to use. Also, location detection is badly broken -- forcing the use of the QR scanner. This defeats the purpose of the primary use case of the app -- paying for gas before getting out of the car! The QR scanner works, but freezes while in use as if the app is going to force close. Wish I could roll back to the previous "Speedpass Plus" release.

Updating review. The intergration with Samsung is glitchy. At times it works seamlessly and other times where it is slow and reports no server connection. this can be resolved by updating the app. Additionally the app does not consistently know location even with GPS on. I typically select find location and once the map opens close location and select pay now to select a pump. I like the rewards and hope some additional incentives are on the way such a a free car wash. This app is not perfect.

The original app worked beautifully. This app is junk. I don't get the option to save password so I don't have to log in every. single. time. ANNOYING. It has also hung up somehow, requiring me to scan a barcode. I did not notice this on the app. I left, entered the amount in my ledger and threw the receipt away. Days later I was unable to use the app because it still had the requirement to scan the barcode I no longer had. There was NO other option. ANNOYING. I'll stop using your stations.

Epic failure on the app redesign. While sure, the app opens and locates a station, that's the only functionality working. Apparently, you can't use the Pay at the Pump feature unless you are standing on the exact GPS location. According to the app, I was within 117 ft of the store, but not at the store. Maybe there is a way to bypass the location checkpoint, but if there is they buried that option. So, yeah, the app is unusable.

Love the idea behind the app. My issue is with the app itself. Everytime I use it now it shuts down mid process. It is very frustrating when you have to reopen the app multiple times each fill up. Please fix the bugs!! (Update)!!! The new update now doesn't let me in the app. I try to sign in and it doesn't accept the password. Requested a new one and got past the fist sign in and went to merge accounts and password doesn't work for that. This is garbage

This app and rewards program is nothing but a headache. They lock your account if you use it more than they think you should. Then they make you call to unlock it and question why you used it so much. Then they reset everything and erase the points you previously had. The app has no place to set up a pin to use the points and the card on the app doesnt scan.

This app is hit and miss on working. It will work fine for awhile and then won't log in. For instance, the last 2 weeks it's been ok, but now the last 2 days I can't log in. I've tried all the usual stuff. I'm sure they will tell me to contact customer service but not really sure what else they can tell me to try. I keep my physical card with me now.

Attempted to use the pay at the pump option to save .10 cents per gallon, would not allow me to do so, option to pay inside. I generated a qr code per the app, and the cashier had no idea what I was attempting to do. I ended up just using my card to pay, no discount or points. Called customer service, verified all was set up correctly. From then on, just getting the runaround.
