More About Exploding Kittens® - Official

Play the most-funded game in Kickstarter history anywhere with the Exploding Kittens® Official mobile game!
🐈💣

The mobile version of the game is available now, including the Party Pack, Betrayal, Streaking Kittens, and the all new Barking Kittens expansion! Play with friends or strangers in online play, challenge the AI, or play offline with friends face-to-face!

In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

KEY FEATURES:

- Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats.

- Play with 2 to 5 players across multiple phones in the same room, or online with friends or strangers

- Featuring original art by The Oatmeal

- New cards exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens

- Digital versions of the hit expansions, including Streaking and Barking Kittens, as well as digital exclusive Betrayal and Party decks

- The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history

Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel).

Exploding Kittens is a paid app in which optional game features may be purchased with real money. You must be at least 13 years old to download and play. Bought the actual card game, & had a blast (punny, right?)! Then I had to check out the mobile game, & it's scorchingly fun! No cheap graphics. Very polished, easy to play. The three in-app purchases for an even more expandanded game are only $1.99 each, far cheaper than the physical ones. Moreover, it has multiplayer options, which means you could invite your families and friends to participate with a code. They'll have a blast too! It's so fun, it's blowing up in my face. Ka-BOOM! 🔥

It's fun, but when playing "expert" it almost always gives you only, shuffle, look into future, and draw from bottom. The times it gives you take a card the computer gives you the above. That's using basic, with the other decks turn one almost always cat butt and 2 or 3 take a card is what I've had used against me. Would rate more but RNG seems stacked for expert mode, no reason I'm like 30 and 5 for easy, 30 and 12 for medium and 34 and 47 for expert.

I used to love this game and played it with the kids but lately seems to have a lot of activity(such as players being skipped over, players causing game to "stick" rather than moving on, cards changing around, etc. that has caused this "game" no longer enjoyable for the kids or myself. I don't know what the problem is and If there was a way to get a refund I would but unfortunately only thing to do is hope something changes or remove the game and find something else.

Yo, I love this game. I've spent way, way too many work breaks going through a few rounds. Constant playability, usernames you'll remember with a burning hate in your soul, hilarious sound effects that your partner is bound to get super tired of hearing. And no ads???? Ultimately next to no errors? Y'all did great with this. Two thumbs way, way up.

I love this game, but there are a couple of things that would make it even more fun. 1, an option to get to choose the number of players in an online game would be nice, as by far my favorite games are when I am head to head against one other player, which only happens if I play a game and someone joins me for a second. 2 A league or rating system for people who win more (maybe blinded to keep people from picking on higher ranked or perhaps just a way to unlock more cool stuff if you win.

I love this game. It's really fun. My only issue is that I think you should have more skin options for free since you already paid for the app. If it was a free app, then I can understand charging us, but I don't want to spend even more money then I already have. Also, the rematch thing does not work properly, but overall, the game is fun to play, and anyone who likes cats and things blowing up needs this app.

could be the best game ever but... the android version doesn't allow you to play with people in proximity without using internet - probably just the limitations of the phone - BUT it would be really neat to be able to friend people using their name or a code as well as during gameplay (with strangers). I think that if they create a way to have 'friends' to request games with, this could be one of the greatest games ever. With so many people loyal to the physical card game, this would take off

A fun translation of the base card game to an app, the app speeds up playtime by removing Nopes, Donation, 2/3 of a kind, and 5 separate cards as a set. In their place are single slaps (attacks) and more steal cards. Fun overall, graphics and sounds are good, kinda wish there were earnable in-game avatars and achievements, instead of iap for more than the first few avatars.

Love the game. Bought the game. Was surprised to see that the different decks were even more money. A little disappointed that there is no way to combine packs. Game itself is fun even though the hardest level seems to defy the odds with the number of skips or slaps the computer has at the end of the game. Will the game ever allow for more than one AI opponent?

This is a fun, shortened version of the card game. My 2 complaints are: 1. I wish when you play against the computer you had the option of playing more than 1 A.I. at a time. I know you could play multiple live people at a time but there's a waiting period for that which isn't worth it. 2. Maybe it's just my phone but when I'm trying to start a game (me vs. the A.I. ) I have to hit the start button multiple times before it finally works. And it doesn't matter which level I choose either.

Amazing bought after buying the physical game and loved it. It gives a code for three free avatars. The game has great controls. Rules with the perfect mix of simplicity and complexity as well as luck and strategy. Plus there are many chat options and they are ALL VOICED that is the first time I encountered that and it gives them so much personality. Also the cards look great and are hilarious. Overall the game is great and so is the mobile port.

Fun game! One possible fix might be to allow a player who has won a game to return to the menu by either the in-game return button OR by the device "back" system button. It doesn't really make sense to penalize a player's win/loss streak immediately after they've won just because they "improperly" returned to the main game menu.

Worthy. Love this game, own physical and digital copies. Cheap too so totally worth it. Latest update with the new pack has a glitch though. When using the latest pack, if you choose a rematch, then make it public it loads infinitely. Only flaw though. New cards are so manipulative, fantastic.

I love playing Exploding Kittens! The app is pretty responsive and the game modes are really good. My only suggestion is that I wish there were an indicator to suggest that it's my turn (a continuous indicator in addition to "Your turn" pop up at the begging of my turn). Sometimes, I keep waiting for others to play but then I realize that it's my turn very late.

It's a really fun game, and if purely judging the gameplay, it'd easily be a 5, but there's a couple flaws that knock it down. The biggest issue is that there's no way to track your wins and losses for online games, only single player for some reason. The next thing would be content. I'd much rather this game be a bit more expensive and just by default give you all the packs, it'd be much better. Also, the packs only add a few new things each, so I wish there would be more variety to the cards.

Great app! I've really enjoyed the card game and expansions with my friends, and I also enjoy the app! The play has changed slightly in the app, but I think that's advantageous given the new platform. I've played a few games online with no hiccups. Tons of fun, especially with sound effects and turn time limits! I also appreciate that the chat feature is limited to a selection of pre-programmed messages, as that limits trolling. (And allows for fun voice acting.)

An amazing game and I'm sure a lot was put into it but I would say to improve the app in anyway would be to have an "add friend" option. Then, have an increase in players from 5 to 6-10 if possible. The game would become flawless. Overall though, I've never had issues with the game, but I can definitely see more potential for it to become the best it can be! 🖤

The game is a quick version of the card game (with 2 new card packs) yet i'd like it even more if they added this: a randomized cutscene where the cat explodes (like the card game). The gameplay is simple and easy to learn and the graphics + sounds are great! You should get this game, even with the 2 dollar price tag (yet both expansions and one character pack cost 2 dollars) Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna save a kitten from exploding... on me.

Great game. Excessively entertaining. I've never had the app crash. Multi-player with strangers works great as well as playing with a friend. It requires a little strategy and a good sense of humor. Only thing I dislike is that when I got a new phone my previous deck purchase didn't transfer. I did get the avatars, just not the deck. Oh well. It's still fun to play with the basic deck.

Good game. Lots of creative ideas deployed that only digital gaming can. I took off a star because the purchase of multiple expansions does not allow one to use them at the same time. Additionally avatar packs are 5 avatars of one set, not your pick. Lastly, the game is private or public, my group would love to play with strangers, but this is not currently an option.
