The game was fun and I invested a lot of time in it. Got to the point of going to the mana tree, and as soon as I go up to it I get. Met with an encounter with some wasps or other random encounter creatures. I can't run away, and if I beat them, I get the credits and it says I beat the game. Clearly a bug? Googled it, all I got was info on the ending and final battle. Which spoiled the whole thing for me. So I uninstalled the game. Thanks. Other than that, great game.

Best money I ever spent. Yes, there are a few quirks which almost every game has, looking past those little quirks, it's a great short game. I expect adding so much more stuff in the sequel if you ever decide to do it. -ni6hant.

Thanks. Update version 2.0.4 really improved the game and works well now. But does it have gamepad support? Series 2 has become 64bit only, and 32bit support has been completely stripped on update. It no longer supports 32bit support at all! Please restore armeabi-v7a architecture (32bit app) support that was present in earlier versions! No response and fix the support issue immediately! I want to play both versions on my own device, or no full positive rating! 😡

This game was working perfectly, however I have just updated this app to the latest version and the in game music no longer plays. the sound effects are still current. if the music was working this would easily be a 5 star game for an android device. please fix

White screen is all I see. Update: There new Update 2.0.4 does let me play the game now but there no music? I got some songs from some chest but none where playing. I noticed there was no title screen music either but I thought maybe this game didn't have one but after looking it up it does I think. I check the audio settings and it was at max I even changed it and nothing happened. The sound effects do work though.

I loved it, tons of content for a $0.60 game! While the controls were not as tight as a controller, they were totally playable. I found that they were faithful to their origin game on SNES/PS1, but controlling 3D characters on a phone via virtual joystick is just always tough.

I'm currently in Aogai village on my way to the 2nd part of the amulet, but things started feeling like a chore rather than a game. A task record would really help if ever I take a break because I'd come back clueless. What also irritated me were the lava floors. Instead of going back from where you fell, you have to redo the whole trajectory from start to finish and the controls makes things worse. So if you like games with a decent pace, avoid this one at all cost.

The game is interesting, and was pretty fun for a little while. The thing holding this from getting a good score is the terrible controls. In the dungeon where you get the bow you have to navigate a pitfall maze. When the game repositions the movement stick each time you touch the screen it is very easy to make a mistake, and I found about half the time it stopped responding until I let it reposition again. I am sure this would not be a problem with a controller. Uninstalling.

A awesome game even though it's my most favorite role-playing game(meaning both Evoland games are my favorite role-playing game). It is a short game for a few dollars but I got this for a discount when it was on sale. Ever since I first played it, I was so impressed about this game even though the graphics change differently after advancing through the game which really surprised me. As mentioned in my Evoland 2 review, I am hoping would be a Evoland 3(Also hoping others suggest the same thing).

Absolutely astonishing! Loved the different art styles and mechanics of the older video games they integrated, definitely worth it to play through all the way. Only thing I wish they added (unless I missed it) is a waypoint system or a journal to keep track of the different things I needed/wanted to do. Other than that, amazing game!

I like the game so far but the touch controls are awkward and somewhat unresponsive. I feel like an option to make the movement joystick stay in one place would be beneficial. It's also impossible to transfer my progress to another device, as the game always tells me there's an "Unknown issue with Google Play services" when I try to login

The game is fun and exciting to play. When you first start, it is in black and white and you work your way up to 3d graphics. It's helping me learn how RPG games evolved over the years from ground up. The dungeons are a bit challenging and the boss fights can be hard. After studying the layouts and the boss movements, I'm able to beat them. Evoland is worth every penny.

An amazing mobile experience. It's one of, if not, the best mobile games out there. The game LITERALLY gets better as you play. You go through the evolution of the Videogames from pixels to polygons! Different genres too! From top down RPGs to turn base adventure games! What can i say? It's just a nice game. Pure and simple. Highly recommend it.

Looks like a really fun game and nice throw back to old RPGs; however I did not get very far into the game before getting frustrated to the point of game rage at the controls, I kept dieing in the same spot because of them. After about 5 deaths in a row having to go all the way back to the title screen before clicking continue I gave up and quit the game.

I use one plus 6T, had no problem with any other games but this one, the game controls truly drive me nuts. Buttons are extremely insensitive. At a point the attack button got stuck and I made it through the level by mostly dodging encounters. In the trap room, I was stuck after getting pushed into a movable block by mobs and had to exit to the main menu...game exp is negative at this point, I don't know if it's bugs or compatibility issues or am I just unlucky. If you think your hair's too thick, play this game, it will help you thin up the hair no problem.

This is a classic "one idea" game in which the only good thing is the one tempting idea of evolving through RPG history. The creator is clearly unsure whether to make a commentary of RPG game or a playable RPG game, and fell into the awkward middle. It asks for a lot of effort from players like a real RPG game, with tedious random monster fights every 5 seconds on the map, but offers little more than a superficial commentary of the RPG history. They should have either made the gameplay easy and focused on presenting the ideas, or just make a really fun RPG game with an interesting idea on top of it.

Played through this game a few years ago. Still one of my favorite games. The controls work well, the graphics change over time from retro to more high end. Pretty unique in that aspect. Unlocking new features within the game is another unique concept. Some of the puzzles are really challenging, as well as finding all the hidden items. Gameplay is kind of a mix between Zelda and older Final Fantasy games. I would highly recommend trying this game.

A few things are wrong with this game. First off the creator is trying to recreate older games that used grid movement and aiming with analog, spoiler its clunky and terrible. Save points being spread out is fine and adds to the difficulty of the game. That is only true though if you can hit the mob right in front of you which isn't usually the case and you take damage or die due to bad hitbox calculations. All in all it's an ok game but it really gets held back from using non grid controls

The first bit is interesting, even if other games have done it before. After that, it devolves into a generic RPG with TERRIBLE controls and badly placed save points (none before a boss, for example, after you've just gone through a long and frustrating section). The boss has a random weakness that isnt even hinted at and you basically have to find by accident. And as there's no way to dodge, it's pretty much a game of chance as to whether he kills you before you get to attack enough times

I really want to like this game, but if this game is a love letter to gaming through the years, then we need to break up. The controls are horrible, and fighting in 3D is exhausting. There's a span of time in this game after you first arrive in the mage's village where I swear the game is making a commentary on how terrible RPGs can be, because that part is just bad. I love the concept, but the controls make this impossible to stick with.
