Utterly awful. Pathetic. Asks for credit card info over and over. Didn't seem to save the info I had entered, yet later I saw that my account had this same card saved multiple times. Then, I decided to subscribe to one of the plans and, yes, it asked me yet again for a credit card. Ugh! Once the charging session started, the app reported that my car had disconnected and that the session had ended. Wrong in both counts.

I get logged out at least once a day. Sometimes the app shows a station is occupied when I see it is open ( and vice versa). The app takes minutes to load. I have only been able to initiate a charge from the app once in the past month. I default to using the RFID now. The app also has functionless features. Adding a member adds no benefit. We are able to add multiple cards, but can't assign them within the family.

Nice looking, major performance issues. Since the major overhaul, the visuals of the app are much improved, and it's nice to see the data about your charge. However, the app will keep sending me notifications that my car has finished charging. When I click it, the app will take 3+ minutes to load, then slow that my car is still at 45% and charging at full speed. Load times are abysmal, and often times the app will ask you to plug the car in, even though it's plugged in and charging has begun.

EVGo is very frustrating to use, when it works, and rarely works. Currently being forced to sign up for the app, which is very slow and buggy. Once upon a time I could use a credit card at the machine and charge away! NO MORE. Currently stuck forever on "add a payment method" bubble, looking at the charger I want. A Walmart charger, go figure.... anyways, looking forward to running out of battery on the way home. Thanks EVGo for your terrible business plan. EVconnect works well, but is far away.

Update. App is now completely unusable! It pops up a dialog box asking for access to location. When I select, "no thanks" it pops the exact same dialog box back on screen. There is NO way to do anything with the app, unless you enable location services first, Worthless! Pricing is still, without question, the most expensive charging solution out there, at 59c kwh for my car. At these prices, forget it. Not even for emergencies.

Absolute worst experience I've ever had with a vendor or an application. Keeps having me change my password. Won't accept the new password. The customer support person was extremely nice and helpful. Sending me password resets that it would fail to take. Also, the charging unit won't take credit card so it's a complete and under waste of time. Spent 40 minutes standing in front of this unit and then it finally gave us out of order message. Get your damn act together

Out of all the major charging networks available right now, evgo is the absolute WORST. I have used evgo several times throughout the course of a year and it's never plug and play at the stations. There's countless charging errors, card readers don't work, support is useless and does not ever fix the station I'm at, stations will be out of service for months on end without the app reflecting that it is out of service. My advice is to plan trips around other charging networks. Avoid at all cost.

If there was a 0 star option I'd pick that. From just one use my experience was not a good one, setting up an account has too many steps compared to other apps the price is also much higher. Once you start a session there is no way to stop it on you phone or the charger you will get charged for the whole session even if you started it by accident and didn't actually charge your car. Overall a really bad experience.

2 stars for the fact that it let's me change my car, but it is the WORST possible app for doing so. So slow! No exaggeration, it take 5 minutes to go from opening the app to starting the charge. Takes forever to open initially, takes forever to log in, takes forever to realize my car is charging and give status, and generally is an exceedingly slow interface. Why there isn't just a simple RFID payment option out of a Samsung wallet to start a charge it is beyond me.

Spent 25 minutes downloading and installing. One crash after another. Thank God I didn't need a charge at the time. Immediately removed. No other apps causing any similar issues just this one. Couldn't even create an account. Couldn't open without just endlessly timed out. Restarted the phone just in case. No difference. Removed it from the phone immediately. I want those 25 minutes of my day back.

I recently rented an "EV" all eletric Chevrolet Bolt for the week. A initial, I was a bit frustrated but come to find out I wasn't using the app correctly to correspond to the appropriate Charging station. After using it for two days now, I'm pleasantly surprised. The ease of starting the charging from your app while you sit in the car is awesome. In addition, you're able to track the charge cost, usage & time remaining tracking features. We just need more charging locations. Tony D.

Although there are few EVgo charging stations in the Midwest, the app shows absolutely nothing. I have installed and reinstalled several times with the same result. The android app is totally worthless. I just hope the card will work on ChargePoint stations, so I can use some of my credits before they expire.

Between the abysmal performance of your stations and your app, I wonder if you care about keeping users. I avoid using EVgo now but was forced to resort to you today. I came to a station with a broken charger that showed as working in the app (before the app went offline). Went to another EVgo station to encounter the same thing. Now your app has been offline for over an hour. If you're trying to push users away, CONGRATS, you've succeeded.

For the third time in a row I have been unable to use the app to find a station as the map never shows anything regardless of the parameters I put in. Also wasn't able to start a charging session through the app. Was forced to call customer service to try to establish a charging session. I don't know if it's the way I'm using it, or my device or anything else but it's pretty disappointing.

I think it's actually pretty accurate, I use it over the other apps. and I love the ease of the membership card. my only gripe is I wish for a bit MORE accuracy, as I get locations recommended to me that are not yet open/activated, or some kiosks are down but don't say so. or maybe a better way to report when these things happen. otherwise, the app is great!

Every cluster of chargers around my area have been offline for a month now except one, called support multiple times about it, the problem has been escalated for a month now. You would think a multi million dollar company would fix their machines quickly but I guess not. I'am paying monthly for a subscription that offers the worst experience of my life, it's like paying for Netflix and getting access to only one movie.

This app has stopped working ever since I went to a new phone... that being my Samsung galaxy s22 plus... it simply doesn't show any stations anywhere....it just says "unable to locate stations, adjust your filters" I check all the filter settings on and off and nothing...Update - I just got off the phone with support and the problem was with my account being frozen as such it disables some of the functions of the app...it's resolved now. I gave it 4 stars for their quick customer service.
