Needs MASSIVE overhaul Setting an activity area is nearly impossible. Pressing on microscopic drag points on screen will inexplicably not work even when using an S-Pen 5/10 times. After the activity area is set, it's entirely ignored by the camera. Today I got over 100 alerts from one camera because a tree (outside the activity area) was moving. Insanely annoying. You can set to not be alerted for anything except human but that also does not work. 9/10 features simply do not work as advertised.

I used to find the app and cameras useful. Now that the motion detection is set to push ALL motion at night instead of what I selected (human only) it's practically useless. I have to turn my camera off to keep from getting woken up every single night, multiple times when car lights go by or bugs fly by it. Make a way to override that and only get human detection alerts again.

This picks up movement and records both audio and video. The device has two cameras, one straight out and the other down to capture packages. You are alerted on your phone through the app, like a text message, and the video is ready to view immediately. Also, there are no monthly fees. Which means, only you store your recordings. What you pay up front is what you pay...one and done. I bought a 1 TB hard drive for about $35 and that's it. All in, it was under $200 for piece of mind.

I want to love the app, but I cannot justify 5 stars when it has no dark mode. I have my phone's brightness turned all the way down so it's reasonable at night, but this app is not only missing a dark mode but it also is the most intense white that it is like the light of a thousand suns shining in my face when I go to check it... And then it also thinks a paper bag is a human, but that's not as important as the light that is worse than modern car headlights...

App works and usually does it's job. Finding stored media is more difficult than it should be, but cameras work good. 1 star for the app since every holiday it keeps spamming me with promotions despite having advertising settings turned off. New year? Why not buy Eufy? Oh here's a Valentines special! No thanks. I already bought what I wanted and don't need to be advertised at every other time I open the app. I'll remove this rating if they remove the advertisements. Edit: 05/04/24 Seems better.

They really need to make it easier to turn on/off notifications for each individual camera. Get rid of the ai edge or explore links at bottom and put a notifications settings button there. For those of you who need to know how, currently it is 4 steps. Click security icon at bottom. Click on your home base. Click the gear icon on your current mode. Then you can see each camera and check or uncheck notifications. Took me forever to find this and it just shouldn't be that hard.

Needs help, but better than Arlo! Dark mode would be much appreciated. The most bugs I experienced happened during the install & update period, but those should be far and few to deal with. During the update it would not stop stating that it's updating even after the update was complete. The instructions were convoluted, incomplete, or just plain incorrect (ie dual cam). My biggest complaint otherwise is that when I get a notification and click on it, the video plays for 2 seconds & then stops.

Horrible interface with the homebase. Always says it's offline or unable to display. Have to refresh multiple times to get live feed or recorded video to come up. It's pretty good to send a notification that something has been detected, but by the time you get that app to pull up the feed, whatever it was is long gone. Love the cameras but hate that I can never get the video to display without spending 10 minutes retrying.

Just installed, seems really simple and user friendly. I only own one of the indoor cameras that costs around $40, and really all I think I need are a few of these for when I'm away just for peace of mind. Very happy so far, time will tell more. App is good so far too. Update, it works ok, 10 devices now for indoor and outdoor use. It seems I typically get a year of use before the battery stops working or they simply refuse to connect to wifi or I get other weird errors. Still good enough.

Few qualms: viewing recordings in portrait gives you a lot of space with the display being up top and just a blank space underneath - would be nice if the delete pop-up just shows up a little lower so you can delete it quicker. Batch delete would work better if you can tap and slide your finger to select multiple rather than tapping individual events. Notifications don't always open to the event or notifications will bring you to an old recording you viewed earlier.

Extremely unreliable - I have 2 different eufy doorbell models, at 2 different houses, both of them take a very, very long time to access through the app, sometimes requiring several forced app restarts, even while being right inside those houses. It's not an issue with any of my network equipment or internet provider, it's a 100% issue with this app and/or whatever forced eufy servers that this app must go through in order to access my own doorbells.

What a waste of money these are , you would think that they would work as advertised being that they aren't cheap ,but every update makes them more useless. You now can't playback past footage when tryingit shows that an event was recorded, but it doesn't let you view the recording, constantly a white screen and it fails to show anything, you can't view live mode , they hardly ever connect in real time, there's always a delay , someone broke in we don't have any footage of the break in

Always frustrating to have to use. The biggest issue is that when you're in Playback, after several seconds it freezes briefly and then takes you to the very beginning of the day. Every. Single. Time. Trying to review something? Better remember that time stamp because you will have to scroll through the entire day to get back to it. Every. Single. Time. Edit: Year update... Still bad. Nearly everytime you get to a time, which remember you STILL have to scroll ALL the way to, it won't play video

The camera system and the local storage is far beyond ring, however this app is very poorly built and doesn't give you the ability to snooze all notifications and you have to do one at a time but I also has a fault where you can't view landscape mode because it then puts it into buffering. If they set up better snooze features and fix the lag/big with landscape... Probably 5 star.

Love the hardware, the app is is buggy. I l've had multiple Eufy cameras for a couple of years now. Easy to install. Sometimes if I tap a camera to see the live feed, it will show another cameras feed instead. Another issue - if I hit live view it will bring me to a recorded video for another camera. Can usually be fixed by backing out or restarting the app. However, if it was alerting me to an actual intruder time is everything. These small inconveniences would make the situation worse.

My T8200 doorbell keeps going offline for no apparent reason and I've done all the troubleshooting and rebooting of modem and router. And yes, the firmware is up to date. Tech Support wants me to film what I'm doing to get the app working!! Are they serious?? It's the only Wi-Fi attached device that I'm having problems with. Based on others' reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one having this problem. By the way, my Eufy indoor camera works fine and and doesn't have these type of problems.

The only reason for the 2nd star is that this app works well, SOMETIMES. I've had 2 cameras and the corresponding app for 2 years now. I'm always running into issues with playing back video. The video can not be decrypted for playback. Defeats the entire purpose of me paying for the monthly subscription for cloud storage if I can't access the videos. Support is very little help as well. They need to address these issues expeditiously!
