edit: there's now this new "gift mode" tab. you have to go into the "you" tab to get to your favorites and lists. can there just be a better search engine? the search has gotten awful. this is new; if i'm listening to audio through my phone and browsing the Etsy app, Etsy will pause what i'm listening to to auto-play video clips in the app. why? it does this even on item listings that don't have audio. please turn this off. i dont see a setting for this on my end at all.

I used to love shopping on Etsy. Browsing for hours through all of the wonderful goodies. But the app and site have become so messy that it's too overwhelming to use. They have made literally everything a big image which is overstimulating and nowhere is there a place to change the view to a simple list or even smaller images. There's way too much going on and to contact them it's pretty impossible. I won't be using Etsy anymore until they clean it up.

The fact that there is not a way to download digital purchases from the app is absolutely ridiculous. The app interface is okay, though there are plenty of rough spots. Finding a full list of things you've saved can be tricky and annoying. Navigating through a sellers catalog is also tedious, but it could be worse. Esthetically, the app is lovely. I just wish it were backed up by better functionality.

Trustworthy company with many protections for the consumer. I am never worried about purchasing from Etsy, and I think it is a great way to support small businesses from all across the world! However, the recent updates to the mobile update makes it confusing to navigate. I preferred when there was a separate tab for my favorites, and it just showed me my lists instead of a continuous "there's only one left of this item!" I think a whole tab just for gift cards is wholly unnecessary.

I love Etsy, however, the app is awful. My searches show as many ads as they do actual relavent search results. The worst part, though, is the CONSTANT nagging. "Hey, only a few of these items are left!", "hurry, this sale ends in 12 hours, when it will be replaced the exact same sale tomorrow!", and of course the never-ending reminders to review your purchases that you can't get rid of without reviewing, and half my Etsy purchases are gifts so why would I be the one reviewing them anyway?

Recent updates make the app infuriating to use. Of every app that tries to TikTokify the weirdest and least useful one is Etsy. It's also despicable that they're allowing dropshipping and mass produced products when the entire point is supposed to be handmade and vintage items. Quality has gone down wildly because of this. Edit: You now also can't see the real cost of shipping until you're at the last step of checkout, which feels gross to me.

This is driving me nuts! I get notifications almost daily telling me I have (x) unread ETSY notifications. I click and the app opens, but there is absolutely no way of telling which of the many notifications there are read or unread. No stars, bars, underscores, beeps, blips, or any other indicator of read vs. unread notifications. Worse yet, if I read every notification in every category available, I will shortly get a notification on my phone that says I have (x) unread ETSY notifications. Ahh

Purchasing and products are as great as always--I've never had a bad experience. The 3 stars are because despite the number of years we've been able to make lists and even the latest update of being able to shop with gifts in mind, I still can't share my favorite lists with people who want to buy for me! This seems like such an obvious add-on. Every Christmas my family share Amazon lists and all I want to do is share my etsy lists and I can't. This needs to be added!!!

Horrible, prompts to get to chat support are awful and then if you don't have your order number specifically even for a general question they want you to exit from the chat window forget it but I have to do the lengthy process again and by then the agent is gone. I just wanted to figure out how to see when I bought an item but he told me that you can't do it from the app basically because he said if you don't see the prompts try it on the browser, which defeats the purpose of the app.

You're better off on the website if you buy digital files. The app has no page to easily access your pdf files even if you go to your previous puchases. If you try to go to my purchases on the website where you CAN access your files, you're automatically redirected to the app, so you have to delete the app to keep that from happening it's really annoying

It's really hard to find my list of favorites now. And the gift search mode isn't what I was hoping, I would've loved for it to be a way for me to search for things without it affecting my recommended items. My biggest problem with the app has always been that it recommends things to me I don't actually like, it just thinks I do because I was Christmas shopping or misclicked a YouTube ad. It's really annoying and some items are straight up offensive.

Good UI, easy to navigate. Always fun finding new stuff and getting discounts on the items I favorite. Unfortunately, the app occasionally crashes, won't load up shop, or just error on me. Definitely needs a more stable code or something. Like I said though, that's only occasionally. Other than that, shopping on here is rather nice.

It's a freaking rip off when you want to buy whatever item you want it tells you "free shipping" but guess what when you go to checkout and look over everything they charge you for shipping literally makes no sense and I understand that most things are hand made there so of course it's a little pricey but 30 bucks for a one inch key chain no thank you. When you search for something you get something completely unrelated to. I absolutely hate this app if I could give it zero stars I would.

The app doesn't delete messages etc. once they're viewed, so you end up being notified about 20+ messages over and over. I've messaged Etsy about this and haven't gotten a response. Also, you can't download digital purchases in the app. I don't understand why they don't just email you the link to dl them. You have to go to the online store and dig around for them. Anyway - uninstalled the app. If they fix these things I might consider reinstalling. Edit: The below response is totally unhelpful.

The dresses I ordered are beautifully made, with quality fabric (not too thin but lightweight) and vibrant colors. I'm about 5'8" and frequently find dresses to be a couple of inches too short; the length is awesome! I bought 2 dresses, washed and hung one up to dry while slightly damp (no shrinkage). The other one, I dried fully in the dryer, shrank slightly overall but still great length wise! And I'm so pleased that I just ordered 2 more dresses! Totally worth it!

I've been using Etsy for years, I love browsing and finding unique things. One thing that has always driven me absolutely bonkers is that you can't download files straight from the app. Fine, I'll just do it from the mobile browser on my phone. Except now when I log into the website in a browser and try and click to go to my purchases, it takes me straight to the app! Where I definitely can't download the files 😒 it's very annoying. I had to uninstall Etsy and redownload it just to get my file.

great app. works smoothly, I'd just like to see some certain features added to make the experience a bit more easy to work with. A way of actually being able to delete multiple items from your cart and saved items is absolutely vital and seems to be missing. I have a cart I can't even use at this point because it would take me all day to delete everything one by one. Also more/better ways to pay for individual items as "buy it now" would also be of great help in this instance. GPay is annoying!

Can't respond to messges suddenly, getting an error saying that i need to confirm my account. The account I've had for probably 10 years at this point. The low rating is for the fact there is no good way to contact customer service about this, as it does not fit their limited categories. Also, so many scams and dropshippers any more that never seem to go away. If a deal looks too good to be true, it is, even with the Verified Seller mark or an Etsy sponsored ad.

I liked the older update much better. This might look cleaner but it gets rid of my most favorite thing. The search button for the items. The layout also makes it a bit more complicated. I can't specifically search for things and I have a HUGE list, that makes this a huge problem on my end. Was excited to buy some Spongebob items I had saved and now I can't since it's so far down.
