I love this game... with the exception of one thing. The gauntlet boss unbeatable. I have tried many times and i get through to the boss fine, but then I'm consistently facing a boss with an entire deck of "play army of 1/1 creatures for 1 mana".. so in 2 turns the a.i. has a full board! Then number of these cards NEEDS to be limited in a deck.

A lot of reviews knock on the shuffle mechanic of this game. They're all correct. I don't know how this game has been around as long as it has and maintained such poor riposte when it comes to giving me sigil cards so that maybe I can play 1-2 cards by the time and opponent just magically has 4-6 on the table. Redrawing is almost always a bad option as well. It usually comes out worse. That and there's a LOT of purchase options. Each campaign is $10 but there's like AND option to play free.

This is an y excellent game! I had to uninstall it due to space limits, but while I had it downloaded, I enjoyed every moment. It is f2p & has ethical/optional micro transactions, most things can be unlocked with gold, which you'll accrue over time, the premium currency is more used for cosmetic things & unlocking solo campaigns quicker. I highly recommend this game & wish I could rate it 10*'s. Great job devs!

Great game, big huge flaw they apparently have no remedy for: played quite a while ago, uninstalled and reinstalled the game; the game remembered my "level" without remembering my cards. Id have no problem resetting my account and having to get the cards again... Except you cant for some reason. Theres no "reset" for your account. So now i have no cards and i have no way to earn new cards because my level is too high and it takes forever to earn anything. I dont undsrstand how this happens.

A good game, but the minimum deck size is too high; this makes all games super inconsistent. a deck built to do a thing may not even see the cards it needs to do the thing. It is 100% up to who draws the right cards. It can be fun, but after a while becomes very frustrating. Especially when you draw mana for 5 turns in a row c:

Game is not free to play, year long job. Looks nice, plays nice, but way too expensive for me. You can spend a year to catch up if you want or pay a hefty sum to catch up. If the campaigns were free I'd be fine but considering they do the scum hide needed cards behind campaign pay wall it's just dumb. Same problems elder scrolls card game had which funnily enough was made by this company. Guess they also didn't learn from that game. Wish the best to those wanting to massive time sink.

Fun game. It is much more like MTG than hearthstone, but with enough differences to not be a copy of MTG. At first I was having a great time playing. Eternal has a lot of free gold and packs to earn. But, I was disappointed to see how many cards are only available from buying campaigns. It is possible to grind for the gold without purchasing, but the amount of gold needed for campaigns is very high.

This is one of the few free to play games I've put money into simply because it's supporting a damn good game. Deck options are fantastic, and the myriad of combos you can pull off are an insane amount of fun. If you enjoy strategic play along the lines of magic, this is a much better alternative in my opinion. Edit: 2020) I can't stress show fun this game is, especially if you like creative deck builders. The team behind the game really goes all out in keeping the game fresh and enjoyable.

I played this game for a year and a half and it's gone from highly enjoyable to a miserable experience. The draw for me to this game was the fact that we could play many interesting decks with interesting mechanics. Over time the game's inability to draw in large crowds has led to even the lowest of casual and ranked queues to be filled with tier 1 decks. This makes playing "fun" decks difficult for casual players. The game also has mechanics that are fun in small amounts, like silencing (removing abilities from cards,) and transforming cards, but they make way too many of these. Many matches involve playing a good card and then having your opponent turn every copy of that card into something unplayable. Or they silence all of them. Or they use an effect that makes every copy a dead draw. Aggro has aegis, which prevents wrath of god effects from killing them the first time and these cards can often be played at instant speed, so good luck winning as a control player when you wrath your own board and have no effect on theirs. The game allows a wishboard and it's warped the game. EVERY deck runs something to pull cards out of the wishboard and wreck your plans or overwhelm you. Almost every game devolves into who can keep a threat in play. Combat math comes into play, but my ability to win the game is usually determined by whether or not my opponent can kill my threats and vice versa. Rares and legendary cards must often be answered or you lose the game and their effects vs cost are often outrageous. We have two cost cards that have as good a chance at winning the game as a 6 or 7 cost card. To be fair to the game, it's very generous in awarding new, free cards. I've enjoyed it for more than a year, but with every set release, it just gets harder to want to invest time or money.

The game is great could be better, seems the devs encourage the "stalling" tactic of the game. Never had I played a card game online that takes 30 mins to finish. Everyone is doing it and it takes away from the true pleasure of a card players pace . Needs to be changed badly. No one wants to watch paint dry. Get rid of the stall tactic and you've got a 5* game

Best CCG of all time except for the last year or so I've had trouble getting into the game at all and the game struggles to get past the initializing process. Sometimes re-opening the game helps but now I've been at it for over an hour and still can't get in. This has been common as of late. I've spent hundreds supporting this game. It would be nice if I could actually play it again.

Tutorial is longer than it needs to be, but it's cleverly done and they let you skip it at least. Gameplay is easy to understand but there's enough nuance to keep strategies interesting. There's pre-built theme decks for more casual players and robust deck building for those that want it. Earning packs and new cards comes quickly just by playing the game and I've never felt pressured to have to spend money to stay competitive.

I've spent probably 1000 hours playing this game. It is my favorite card game for 2 years now. Game play: 9/10 Best of any card game out there, though I'd prefer not drawn resources. Card design: 10/10 tons of varied and interesting decks. Esthetics: 9/10 - A little too dark, but the art on the cards looks great. Competitive scene: 6/10 - They are making efforts, but have tons to learn and need a larger player base. Can still be fun though. Overall: 10/10 - Worth your time!

It's OK... I've been playing CCGs since the old MtG Manalink days, and I can tell you something's off about the single-player mode in this game. Bottom line, it's rigged. Argue about it all you want, but too often, your deck will stall out mid game with too little or too many power cards at the most inopportune times. Meanwhile, the AI opponent WILL have exactly the power cards it needs and WILL top-deck its a$$ off late game to turn the tables on you. If you're OK with this, then give it a try.

This is by far the best digital card game. Grinding doesn't feel like a chore for free to play, and if you pay a draft is only 3 bucks. The game play is much deeper and more interactive than hearthstone. The developers are also prompt with feedback and the entire game has been a great experience in the month I've been playing. I don't give 5 stars for just any game, this one truly deserves it. (I'm using a note 8 so I can't vouch for other phones but it gives the same experience on steam)

I have played this game since 2nd or 3rd expansion, so it pains me to have to give such a low rating. I do this because of the toxic community (I refuse to interact with any more) , the hacking (I refuse to play against another person any more), the stability of the game (which has become worse), the constant bugs that 1) have never been addressed or 2) are inevitable at launch of a new expansion, and the diminishing rewards. Good news ai (so far) is completely fair, still better than hearthston

It is well-optimized. Even on my antiquated Galaxy S3, it runs relatively smoothly. It crashed once after I played for about 30 minutes. It also crashed about 1 minute after creating a new deck. Will try to continue giving feedback. 12/23/16 update Whenever I long press on cards in draft, the screen turns black, and the app crashes.

I think the game is amazing. One of the best ccg out there. Only problem is I think it must be a direct port from PC to mobile because the controls are horrible. Can't even really read the cards when you hover over them because your thumb is in the way. Just a poor mobile design. Other then that it's great. I recommend playing on PC though.

Super generous with rewards compared to most other CCGs. First win of the day is a pack instead of a tiny amount of gold. This game is deep and strategic. I've seen it described as sort of a magic the gathering lite but it's more than that since there are things you can do digitally that would be impossible with physical cards. I think it's very new player friendly. Overall very fun, they just need to fix the tutorial to not be so long and boring.

I want to start this off saying I absolutely love this game. The art, the story, the mechanics, all of it. I just wish it was playable free to play. I understand money is needed to run a game like this. However, the current cesspool in the versus game modes is 80% legendary spam without any actual strategy, just winning off insane value and summon effects. All it would take, is a game mode in a format that legendaries are limited to the market. This would allow room for new players to join.
