Update below. The schedules are well set out and easy to read and share BUT the information is periodically not correct. Not able to email them. The menu won't open. UPDATE 03/2024 - very easy to read, information updated timeously after Eskom updates the schedule. Menu opens. Able to see the schedule going forward.

This app is great I've been using it for almost 2 years now and it has been an awesome experience It did stop sending notifications after a year but that was because it needed to be updated and right after the update the notifications opened and I get them before load shedding everytime and if the schedule changes so it is a great app to keep u updated on the latest schedules it never disappoints

Helpful and informative app. Greatful for the extra warnings in regards to water notifications, unexpected weather conditions, etc. This app also makes us laugh sometimes with the way loadshedding is announced, especially when there is an event, big game ahead or something significant going on around is - the way the loadshedding announcement is incorporated into that happening is really funny and a good way to make the stressful or frustrated feeling a little lighter. Thank you EskomSePush!😀

Good app. Would be nice if there is an option to select an additional notification for when the power will come back on again. Would be useful for people that has a switchover time from generator to Eskom to ensure they save their work on PCs before the switchover.

This App needs to be updated. We now get Load Reduction and Load Limiting. So there's no warning when it happens.

What a great app! Especially love the way you have improvised since less to no loadshedding by improving local outrages 👍🏻 Well done!

Within the 500-char limit ... I like: *Notifications & reminders. ESP is first with status changes; reminders are lifesavers *Can set notifications individually for each area loaded *Can access an area's schedule w/out actually loading/saving it. Useful for one-off check *Emojis are back🥳. Was getting a bit corporate & po-faced *Links, eg, Eskom comms, relevant articles. Best yet: headline reading something like "South Africans first to know if grid collapses, govt says" 🙄

ESP is really the best and most reliable app to see when loadshedding will take place. It is updated frequently, and feedback is almost instantly when you have a question regarding the app. They are not working for Eskom at all and provide this free service with compassion. Thank you for being part of our lives for more than 4 years. You make our lives easy.

I appreciate this app, because you can plan ahead of time power outages (unless Eskom has other plans, with which this app is not responsible. They just update as soon as Eskom releases new information). It's quick and easy to open up and use with no hassle. And if I do forget to look, it does send a warning 55min before the time, which is convenient.

Load shedding changes so frequently that it can be hard to keep up. This app keeps track of the outage craziness and notifies as quickly as possible to any changes. Plus the reminders just before load shedding helps to switch off appliances or make a quick cup of coffee before the power goes out.

Since new update the user interface is terrible. Have now no idea where to find any categories. This app is going in the wrong direction.

Love ESP app! It's super convenient and easy to setup and use with notifications whenever stages change and reminders in advance for your next loadshedding session so you don't get caught off guard. All supplied with a dose of classic SA humor most days! I think I'd be lost without this app, especially at the rate loadshedding stages flip and change!

App always asks me to review my location settings even though I have given all permissions. I'm unable to read messages when I open the App even though a message alert popped up on my screen.

Changed this to one star. For some reason nothing I post on ask my street is going through. Also whenever I go to report "no electricity" or "no water" in my area I'm met with a blank screen. Edit: Issue resolved. Thank you for your reply.

This app is required daily use if you live in South Africa. During the several years that I've used it, it hasn't been wrong or offline for any memorable period of time. Sometimes the notifications come in and bit late, or even after the power went off, but it's better to plan ahead, and these late notifications are probably not avoidable in any event. Thank you for making a miserable situation a little bit better.

Invaluable app and always very reliable. I was looking for a feature suggestion option in it and couldn't find one. So, while it is pretty "feature complete" and doesn't really need that, I did want to suggest that it does need an option to view the forthcoming Stage times. Currently we're at stage 2, with stage 4 scheduled to start in a couple of hours. But nowhere can I find the stage 4 loadshed times. Perhaps it's there, but I can't find it. And think it would be really useful. Kudos

i really wish we didn't need this app. it does a good job pushing load shedding status change notifications, and is very intuitive to use. the main drawback is that the app is very slow to load info after a notification has been sent...i guess everyone is trying to access the schedule info at the same time and clogging up the server. :/

If you're living or traveling in South Africa, this app is a must. I operate a remote business that requires wifi and meetings overseas, so it's critical to plan for load shedding. This app makes that easy. The user interface is intuitive, and it's easy to find the information you need. You can follow multiple areas at once to coordinate around load shedding, which is really nice. This app makes checking load shedding like checking the weather.
