My go to epub reader with customizable settings. Great on the eyes and scales well for tablets. Edit: attempting to sync books across devices does not result in the reader saving progress or books read. I have literally the same file structure and books but the eReader is not able to synchronize them correctly. Frustrating. Use this with all these devices Galaxy Active, S7 tab, z fold 3.

I like the app, ans its functions. May need some improvement in the search, but I do like it. The only reason I give such a low rating is that it provides many ads, which requires the internet. However, when I go to the "store", it says it needs a connection, or that a connection is required, which it obviously has one since there are too many ads. Also, with text to speech, the book will continue to be read despite force shutting the app.

Truly helpful. It has customization of font type & size, spacing, highligh color, language and voice. It allows you to bookmark and resume with automatic setting. It also provides a timer to turn off the reading up to an hour. Capable of reading most audio formats including pdf and word. Very impressive and practical. Thank you for such a great app. :)

Edit* Please fix the english male voices!! Voices aren't working. App is great for different formats of books. It's the only one that will play most of them. I mostly use the audio. There is a decent amount of voices but many don't work. I also have a huge problem with the app shutting down the audio at random. I can't find a reason or solution for it. I would switch if I can find another app. I use it for work and am not allowed to get my phone out to fix the issue.

It does the job. But it has glitches that make it annoying. I have a pdf with lots of "bullet points" indicated by a diamond shaped bullet. It actually calls out "diamond point" with each symbol. I'm surprised it doesn't call out every comma and period. It also says "use the arrow keys to turn the page" at EVERY SINGLE PAGE. It's getting old really fast. And the controls are difficult to use. sometimes they disappear. and there's no way to bring them back up without turning off the scree

Samsung Galaxy S8: I have been through a few readers, with lots of promise, but functions, and level of interruption by ads, changes to code and support, responsiveness of developers, etc., have landed me here,.. And this is where I am staying, for now,.. The developers have really crafted a very stable, trustworthy app, IMHO. ONLY ads I encounter are after using to view a doc, pdf, what have you - and they are easily 'x'd out. I actually don't mind watching, because the app is highly functional; I particularly enjoy having books read to me as I work,.. and can chose differing 'voices' so it's not monotonous,.. This is a must have app, that frees you from the more nainsteam commercial apps, that handle digital documentation. Keep up the great work!

There needs to be an option to save the voice your listening to and getting rid of the bar on the bottom without having to exit the app then go back in. Also, it would be wonderful if you could adjust pdf formats to fit the screen and change font size. I wish I could find an app that can do these things. Books now just disappear from the shelves. This app needs so so much work. I can't take it anymore. Time for moon reader+

I have used eReader Prestigio for years and have recommended it to many friends. It allows me to consume a number of books that might otherwise still be on my reading list. I currently have two problems with the app: First, over the last year, the screen has dimmed and I do not know how to turn up the brightness. It is really irritating. Secondly, I want to buy the app, but I have more than one Google profile and it won't let me pay on my primary Google account. Fix that & I'll buy it.

Chose this ereader specifically because it is one of the few that has OneDrive cloud support. Works very well and is my preferred E-reader app, has the best and smoothest page turning transitions to me. Could use an in-app brightness meter. And be aware that there was a 8 month delay fixing a Cloud API error. App still worked during that time, but importing was more of a pain. Dev seems back on top of things now.

This is my favorite ebook reader app, and I've tried some of the "best." It's so clean and very appealing to the eyes. I love the bookshelf look. My only problem with the app is that having an account is worthless, my notes and highlights don't sync. I can't change my account email. What in the world does synchronization even do? Please fix this! I love the app to much to dump out for another one, but syncing notes and highlights is kinda special to me, I love reading my favorite book quotes.

I'm trying to use this to help me read through PDF's of rule books as it helps everything stick to have a voice going along with me scanning the words. Unfortunately, this program doesn't seem to handle double column documents well and will occasionally skip over to the right column, then go back to the left, causing a rather disjointed experience. There doesn't seem to be any easy way to pick where the text-to-voice picks up reading, which is incredibly frustrating.

I really love this e-reader. I read things in many languages, including Russian and Chinese, and I can look things up with ease, given the dictionary, share, and Google translate options. I also enjoy being able to use it easily with the TTS on my phone or tablet, to have the text read to me in the various languages as well.

The best app I've found that has good TTS and text formatting capabilities! Very minimal ads (only when I switch books) and clean interface. (Tip: if "searching" for new books takes long, just go to the file directly and open to the app.) The only thing I'd like to see is for the TTS controls to stay in my notifications when I pause. The controls display on my notifications when I am listening, but if I pause for longer than a minute, it disappears, and I have to open up the app again and restar

**UPDATE** When viewing a pdf, I try to click on the page to bring up my settings and it skips ahead 200 pages for some reason, usually on the same page. For that I give it 3 stars (and what's mentioned below). Very good app! I love that there is a built in voice reader and it is very slick looking with a lot of options. One gripe—coming from the scroll down option only lets you scroll one page at a time rather than line by line. If the developers change that I will give 5 stars no problem.

This app is now terrible. Constant crashes, no longer reads mobi, and drops all files when you move it to sd card. you literally have to move all the books back into it. AWFUL. Deleting. I love everything about this app, especially that I can make the screen any color I want (pink). I would give it 5 stars if I could add/edit/change the covers of books. Excellent work, devs.

I really enjoy this app, especially the TTS feature. A previous update had a notification bar to easily pause audio playback, and I am disappointed to find that there doesn't seem to be one in this version. (Or with my current phone?) Another thing that would be nice is a lock screen button, or if the playback automatically paused when I get a call. I had a hard time pausing a book today and missed a call.

This was, and probably still is, the best text to speech reader for epub and pdf files on Android. However, at some point in the last year or so, the app stopped offering text to speech for some epub files with zero indication of why. I've submitted a support email and received zero response, so I'm left with complaining in a review. If they fix this and I can go back to listening to my files on my phone, this review will go up to a five right away. I seriously depend on this working.

Installed this app the other day and tried importing my docs. It imported. But now I can't open the app because it keeps crashing. It's converted my music into docs so I can't play it using the music apps. What is left anyway after a major delete. And apparently all my books have disappeared as well - at least a thousand copies. I wish I could access the app to see how to reverse this damage. Too sad for words. 😔 I've provided all the details in this review.

Would prefer a one time charge for voice features instead of a monthly charge especially if the free options are not going to work properly. 2-14-23 edit to downgrade to 2 star. Voice changes throughout reading. If its the Google voice or whatever, as the developers of this app I feel like you should be able to fix the text to speech so its not switching around constantly. 3-28-2024 latest update has changed the voices, and it is very difficult to listen to.

I've used it for years; it has every feature I want in an e-reader and never bothers me with ads in a free app. Good customization options, read aloud/text to speech with the screen off, ability to import all my own books in any file format I want. There's apparently a store, but I've never used it/don't care as I import my own books. 10/10
