More About Epson iProjection

Epson iProjection is a wireless projection app for Android devices & Chromebooks. This app makes it easy to mirror your device's screen, and project PDF files and photos wirelessly to a supported Epson projector.
[Key Features]
1. Mirror your device’s screen and output your device’s audio from the projector.
2. Project photos and PDF files from your device, as well as real-time video from your device's camera.
3. Easily connect your device by scanning a projected QR code.
4. Connect up to 50 devices to the projector, display up to four screens simultaneously, and share your projected image with the other connected devices.
5. Annotate projected images with a pen tool and save the edited images on your device.
6. Control the projector like a remote control.

[Notes]
• For supported projectors, visit https://support.epson.net/projector_appinfo/iprojection/en/. You can also check "Supported Projectors" in the app's support menu.
• The JPG/JPEG/PNG/PDF file types are supported when projecting using "Photos" and "PDF".
• Connecting using a QR code is not supported for Chromebooks.

[About the Mirroring Feature]
• If you are running Android 11 on your Chromebook, the mirroring feature may not work properly on rare occasions. If this occurs, try restarting the mirroring feature, restarting the app, and restarting your Chromebook. Also, consider using Epson iProjection from the Chrome Web Store.
• While mirroring your device’s screen, video and audio may be delayed depending on the device and network specifications. Only unprotected content can be projected.
• Audio output during mirroring is only supported for Android 10 or later, or for Chromebooks running Android 11. On Chromebooks, you can only output sound from apps installed from the Google Play.

[Using the App]
Make sure that the network settings for the projector have been completed.
1. Switch the input source on the projector to "LAN". Network information is displayed.
2. Connect to the same network as the projector from "Settings" > "Wi-Fi" on your Android device or Chromebook*1.
3. Start Epson iProjection and connect to the projector*2.
4. Select and project from "Mirror device screen", "Photos", "PDF", "Web Page", or "Camera".

*1 For Chromebooks, connect the projector using the infrastructure mode or Advanced connection mode. Also, if a DHCP server is being used on the network and the Chromebook's IP address is set to manual, the projector cannot be searched for automatically. Set the Chromebook's IP address to automatic.
*2 If you cannot find the projector you want to connect to using automatic search, select IP Address to specify the IP address.

"to find a list of supported projectors go here... The base of a huge website" with aims at several people, but not current owners of products. I was able to dodge several corporate offers, but i was not able to find any mention of this app whatsoever.

A trash app for a trash product. How fitting. The projector and app rarely communicate successfully with each other and the quality leaves a lot to be desired across the board. Do yourself a favour and avoid this app

quick mode is easy and working, i ll admit that. However, nothing is working in properly setup advanced mode. I managed to show one picture in advanced mode but after that nothing work. i have tried samsung A7, A8 and Asus Zenfon.

Does all i need it to do, and has amazing range. NOTE: The projector you're trying to connect to must support a wireless connection.

The recent update has caused this application to be totally useless now. It doesn't wireless connect to the project at all. Doesn't Epson do any quality control before launching updates??? So concerned about connecting the Chrome book to the app you forget about you other customers??? Whoever wrote this update needs to be fired. Garbage now!

Where do I even begin. Considering how much I paid for the projector I assumed that the app would be better quality than this. a) I don't see why I have to give it permission to access my location for it to work. b) The playback on the projector is not smooth and has a noticeable delay compared to the one on my phone. c) Can't access the internet while connected to the projector. d) The list goes on, but why bother, I'll be uninstalling

I find this very useful to project my phone screen to Epson EBX40 projector via ELPAP dongle while teaching my students. There are many useful features such as document presentation to camera or entire screen. The only downside is while using the ELPAP , I can not connect to the internet, which is very disappointing. How can we get around this problem?

The only thing I'd change, is to be able to see the photos to choose the next "slide" in a grid so I can see a bit further along. It's an arbitrary feature that NO ONE else would probably need, hence the 5 starts.

Works for me! I noticed after the last update when I use the screen mirroring the connection seems to last maybe 8 to 10mins then I have to reconnect . Other than that it works fine and I'm inclined to agree with another reviewer that mentioned how well it worked before the last update.

Difficult to use,and instructions are not very understandable. Would not recommend it if you're not anIT genius .I wish I could give this app a zero star review

Might not even deserve 1 star, no reason this shouldn't work as well as air play but pretty much pointless and developers should be fired and embarrassed of their incompetence.

I haven't had the issues others mention in their reviews. I was able to easily connect my Google Pixel 5a to my projector. I also used my Windows 10 PC using the iProjector PC program for the PC wireless connection. I will say that I could only get sound from my phone, but I was going to use Bluetooth for sound anyway, so no big deal to me. So far, I'm satisfied.
