Really fun game! Loved the characters personalities, pretty wide variety of armors, abilities and monster. Map is big enough and love the free content, didn't divulge much into the paid content but it looks fun and the puzzles feel rewarding. ( for new players I totally recommend epic difficulty, trust. )

The game was recommended by the store, I wasn't sure if I wanted to install it, and I did, I like it it's very interesting, one thing that is too much for me that there are a lot of battles every 2 steps I take, it's tiring and kinda kills the mood. Would have liked it more if there were more tricks and a little less battles, but it's still a very good game, I recommend 👍

This is my first time writing down an actual review and I have to say, this is my fav. There's a whole bunch of references to other series'. Sometimes In this game I get stuck into problems I feel like are too hard to beat, but after enough time grinding I managed to beat those. This has a great storyline that sometime is jokes and games to being down right serious. The optional areas have way powerful things than average enemies you fight which is expected. I feel like getting the extras now.👀

All my 5 r belong to this I nearly never rate 5* but this deserves it. It's a complete rpg game with many hours of gameplay, versatile skills & equips (with a lot of possible custom builds), and amazing humor. Honestly, it's a great game. No ads either (except the optional one after battle for a boost) & the few dollars to unlock the bonus stuff is worth it. Easy 40+ hour first playthru if you explore, much more with dlc. Tho I would like a setting to boost battle speed or remove animations :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME! 100% this game on PC already and the fact that I'm going to replay this again on mobile should attest to how well it is created. Turned based strategy game with each of your characters having unique builds, skills and equipment. Fun for the average gamer and intense for the more hardcore ones who want a challenge. Story that makes fun of itself and breaks the 4th wall that makes it enjoyable and stress free. Get it while it's free! The dev is crazy for making it f2p

ridiculous that it's an additional $8 just to remove the ads even after you purchase additional content, but otherwise good game Edit: The ad prompt affects gameplay by removing 30% of what you would otherwise earn from a battle. I understand it's an alternative to having ads, but I would rather just have ads than something that alters gameplay. That said, this is a just blemish on an otherwise fantastic game, so just buy the whole thing. Thanks for being so attentive to your fans, Matt.

FANTASTIC game! I have been looking for a game that at least somewhat resembles Final Fantasy, and this is the best that I have found. The gameplay is fluid, the cartoonish graphics pair perfectly with the light-hearted and goofy dialogue, and the battle scenes are perfect. Overall I'd say this is the best game I have ever found in the Google Play Store. Amazing job! Now if I could just find where I can play the older Battle Fantasy games.

Simply one of the best RPGs around. Characters are fun, the story doesn't take itself seriously, and combat is incredibly deep. There is a ton of content to find, and modifiers add a lot of replay value. This game originally came from Newgrounds, so there is some raunchy humor. Monetization is reasonable, three-tiers of payment for added content maxing out at $20 for everything. I put over 200 hours into this, and there's still more to experience. This is a must-have game.

Literally the best turn-based RPG you can play on mobile and contends with even console/PC games as well. The art is great, the soundtrack is fire, and what really carries it is the game play. The level of depth in skills,gear, and strategy to face some of the tougher challenges is amazing, and some of these fights at the end game are HARD!! Even a veteran RPG player will find a home here.

Amazing game, love the humor, the characters, the story, all of it. One major issue though, the boss fight right nearest the raftmaker in the Mystic Woods has frozen when I'm about a third of the way towards killing the boss itself. Its done this about five times in a row, making the game unbeatable. Update: made it past the bastard, now it just freezes randomly. Not enough to be unplayable but certainly enough to be very irritating.

Great RPG, light-hearted and fun with many hours of gameplay that can be picked up and put down at any time. Note to the developer: On the map all the way on the left, two from the bottom, the "Menu" button in the lower left blocks access to the pathway leading to a battle and treasure chest. The only way around it right now is to force 16:9 in the advanced options.

This game would get a 5 star rating if it wasn't for all the times it crashed during pivotal fights, including against the final boss which has two tough stages. Honestly, I can't bring myself to play it anymore. I almost beat the final boss, but the game crashed when it was at low health. It's incredibly frustrating. Doubly so because other than that, this game is amazing and so much fun to play. But the crashes during boss fights and tough battles with multiple waves of enemies... not good.

Solid old-school turn-based rpg. Mix final fantasy-style gameplay with modern controls and a lot of silliness. Main game free to play, ads optional for extra rewards, cash can buy additional content or make life easier but definitely not required. Great fun so far, 3-4 hours in. Wish you could load from save from within app. Once post-combat optional ads appear (around the first boss), game sometimes lags, especially at start & end of combat. Airplane mode before load for dirty fix.

Update: At the final area, only missing a few quests (mostly seasonal) and whatever optional Deluxe content there is. It's still really fun! The customization and strategy opens right up once you get all 5 party members, and bosses are really fun to work around. Hoping to be able to grab some Deluxe content; this game is hella fun and I definitely want to play more. Highly recommend if you like turn-based RPGs, this is one of the golden ones!

The Epic Battle Fantasy games are my favorite turn-based RPG series, and being able to play the best one on the go is a dream come true. Lots of skills to use, a huge variety of equipment and summons, genuinely difficult challenges, it's basically a love letter to anyone who loves JRPG combat. The dialogue is silly and charming too, and I think the characterization is at its best in this entry in particular. If you want an RPG that doesn't oversimplify its mechanics for mobile, this is the one.

Absolutely amazing! Exactly like the original pc version I use to play. Best of all it's entirely free. The optional purchases are just that, optional. I personally recommend them. As they're a great 1 time purchase. It does have the occasional frame drop, but it's only a few for a couple seconds at a time. It has to be my setup. Specifically on mobile, for me. My only issue is once matts' unleash skill is maxed. It tends to prevent the menu from popping up again, after I use it. Fixed on reset.

It's a very average RPG that's just good enough to hook you for a while. The lack of depth really showcases itself in the endgame. The bosses can be fun but they're mostly just damage sponges. By the end you're just repeating the same routine for pretty much every encounter and it gets really boring. I wish they did more with the combat system in the endgame.
