Used to play crosswords in the daily newspapers as a kid, but it was tough since they were mainly for adults and had just one style of gameplay. So, it wasn't as much fun or interesting, even though I liked it. However, with this phone version, I'm absolutely loving it! There are lots of different themes, and you can customize many things according to your preferences-even tiny details. Plus, there are different difficulty levels as well, which is really good, especially for beginners. Solid 5/5🔥

Enjoyable game to utilize your mind without being too easy, difficult or frustrating. Plenty of hints available without needing to sink money into it and it gives you the opportunity to learn new words and phrases used around the world. No childish themes or otherwise distracting add-ons. Just a straightforward crossword game. Best app of its kind I've ever played!

I thought the app was great for a while. Then I finish the easy and medium. I found a place that could clear the puzzle and start over. Unfortunately, I now get no points when I finish a puzzle so all I'm doing is just wasting any hints that are available. Kind of sucks that they don't allow you to keep getting points as long as you're still playing and seeing their ads Thanks for your reply. If you're not getting Point there's no reason to have the game. I will now delete it

2nd edit: meh. Overuse of specifically British terms or knowledge. At least once per board I still dont understand the answer even after knowing it. Hint-writer needs help. I've found spelling errors. (Not just British spellings). Mostly synonyms, but not always accurate. Sometimes word is already used in the hint. Needs improvement. Still, very limited ads, so nothing terrible, but I will be looking to replace this with a better app.

So far, so good. I love the various puzzles and the fact I can choose the difficulty level and the letter puzzles my absolute favorites. An added bonus, limited ads very limited. So there that's why I gave it 5 🌟 I just downloaded it today. I don't wanna come back and take away a star or 2 because of something I have yet to encounter

it says contains ads but i dont even notice them, the puzzles are actually difficult at least for me, the only thing is that it uses the british version of words (colour instead of color) so i missed some because it was spelt differently than i was used to. it has an amazing interface and its customizable so you arent stuck with a constant white screen blinding you

Not a bad game overall. However, there are quite a few defining statements that do not match the words accurately and there is a bit of a culture barrier to look past. If you live in the USA and have very little knowledge of European English language differences, you'll probably have some difficulty completing puzzles without using hints.

The game is worthwhile because it's free with ads; there a few hundred puzzles built-in and there's a mixture of easy word hints and more challenging word definitions. There are infrequently British variants of some words, but they are usually identified as being (UK). Downsides are the very long wait on advertisements which run for more than 20 seconds and also the crossword puzzle app creator likes to use the same words with different definitions in different puzzlea.

It is what it says, crossword puzzles. There is a good variety and not too many ads, unless want extra hints. Being British English it can be a bit odd, as for an American, as far as particular words and/or spelling. Overall, it is a good app for crossword puzzles. I would recommend.

Well made game-wise. Unfortunately at a certain point, the "difficulty" is just bad, inaccurate, and overly vague clues. Not to mention, this game is clearly made in the UK and there's several unlabeled clues. Some will say (UK) or (amer.) but many of the regional ones don't and it leads to a consistently unfair waste of hint points. I don't mind UK stuff but it's rather annoying losing points despite being correct, for things like an "S" in "realiZe", or unfamiliar British-only terms.

It is a crossword game. It uses British English, which has a few weird spellings. I am American so a word like "tyre" and "tire" are weird. It's not wrong at all, and there's a huge body of water that made the words different. There's not really any features that makes this game different or stand out. Besides that there's virtually no ads, unless you want more hints.

A very addicting game! I love crossword puzzles anyway, so it's easy for me to lose a couple of HOURS in this puzzle game. Only two suggestions I offer: 1, make the ads dismissable after 5 seconds (they aren't); and 2, make a version available in American English -- there are a few clues in British English which are difficult to discern at times, and we spell some words differently on our side of the big pond. 😌 Other than those two minor points, this is a fun game! 👍

Quite possibly the best crossword experience I have found so far. Not exactly a traditional look, but the interface is incredibly easy to use, and very fast if you're short on time. When you get started the puzzles might seem quite simple/easy/elementary, but they gradually build up in size and difficulty as you complete each one. Whoever wrote the crossword clues did an excellent job. The clues are mostly British, but easy to understand no matter what part of the world you're from. Excellent!

Challenging game and very fun to play with others (in person). Easy Mode levels eventually get as hard as the Hard Mode levels. Note that the game is British/English, so some of the spellings and terms might be trickier for Americans. Not that much trivia, mostly vocabulary which is good in my opinion. Hints are generous, and there is little need to pay or even watch ads for hints. Overall, well made and best I could find in the category. Good for maybe 6 months to a year.

I love this game! The ads are not intrusive at all. They only play when you choose to double your game score by watching ads. The ads are short and not difficult to close. I really like how smooth they are. I absolutely loathe ads that are intrusive and try to trick you into clicking on them and then re-routing you to their website. This crossword game does NOT have any of that BS. It is my new favorite! Crosswords are leveled correctly, with increasing difficulty and lots to choose from!

GREAT crossword puzzle game that includes many levels of difficulty, and answer words of many lengths. Ads do not interrupt the games. Yes, as the title indicates, a few clues and answers are "King's English", rather than "American". Unlike another crossword game I got bored playing, the clues and answers are not repeated frequently. I also enjoy going at my own pace rather than facing ongoing competition among players. My only question is, will additional puzzles be added or available to buy?

BEST crossword interface, anywhere. The crosswords are rendered very clearly. You can easily tell what tile you are in what word you are in, and, this is one of the features I love the most, you can pull up ALL the clues at once: it reads as a scrolable list down the lefthand side of the app, with the completed words and their clues crossed out. The unfinished words are very clearly highlighted, just like if you were solving a printed crossword with a pen. This is the feature I miss the most.

Love this! It's very relaxing, and I love that you get hints from watching short 20-30 second ads. There's no pressure to purchase microtransactions. There's a wide variety of puzzles with reasonable and increasing difficulty levels. I've been playing this to help with memory retention because even though I'm young, at 30, Alzheimers and dementia runs in my family. I also like that you can generate custom puzzles once you complete a difficulty tier. I'm currently on Hard difficulty.

I LOVE this crossword! There are NO ads, unless you choose to get a hint, I've read? (I don't use any hints) I love that it's "British" so it just makes it more challenging, in my opinion. The ONLY bad thing is I only have 8 'very hard' puzzles left, and I wish there were more.

Hardly any ads. Points added by just playing. Words are both simple and difficult, but by going down to the end and then going across to the end, one can complete the entire puzzle with using very few, if any, hints. Some words are spelled in United Kingdom spelling, but one soon gets the gist of that spelling.
