Pay to win sadly. :( it would be a great game but they want ludicrous amounts of cash for heroes which are the only way you can win levels. I refuse to support companies that do this. But if you don't mind the game is pretty cute and fun to play. Limited options in towers but still its pretty fun, well till you hit levels you can pass unless you have other heroes which cost cash. :|

I like the game cant stand the touch sensitivity though. When I'm in the middle of the game trying to scroll or upgrade the game keeps blowing up to full screen and wont return to normal screen. Its extremely frustrating and difficult. Especially when your trying to win. I have many other games downloaded on my phone this doesnt happen with them so.........

A pretty good free alternative to Kingdom Rush. It catches the feel of the Kingdom Rush while still being different enough to not be blatantly copying it. I understand that it's free so there are going to be some microtransactions but some of the microtransactions are ridiculous. They are too expensive and too many in my opinion. Granted you can get by without using microtransactions but the game falls into a grindy mess with only two or three viable strategies. Still it's a decent 4/5

Very fun game but there are two issue I have with it: 1. You can collect gold stars and violet stars from beating levels on a higher difficulty, but the game won't let you use them in the perk tree, instead you are forced to use gems, which is the currency you have to pay for. 2. Game is littered with icons on the main screen offering promotions and other such thing which is very invasive. If you can get past those things, the game itself I one of the most fun tower defense games I've played.

Edit: This bug has been fixed. I am a happy customer :) Old review: Great game and all, but couldn't seem to connect to the internet. Even though I could buy packages, which I did, it didn't save my progress nor could I tap the bonuses. Always told me to connect to the internet. I tried turning my wifi on and off, airplane mode on and off, uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Doesn't work. Guess it's just not meant to be. I really did like the game...

this is a OK good TD game, but there are a couple big issues that I have with the game. 1. Towers do not attack enemies closest to your castle. they constantly let guys walk by without attacking them as they get closer to the castle, instead they attack guys further away. 2. game gets hard at too fast of a pace, not inline with your heroes leveling up. I'm not about to pay to make my guys stronger, it's pointless to replay missions over and over to get exp for your heroes.

Enjoyed this to a point, but it gets way too difficult too quickly. Balance is way off unless you spend $$. It is a slog to get enough blue and pink crystals to upgrade, and unless you upgrade, the levels get to be impossible. Ads give more blue crystals, but not pink, and continuous ads make gameplay tedious. Harder versions of each level (which allow for more upgrades) quickly impossible, even with 3 Max heros, $ spent on upgraded troops, and max basic upgrades. Stuck and frustrated.

It's a great game to play in your downtime or when laying in bed watching TV. I like taking my time to get the best runes for my heroes and leveling them up to max level before continuing with the story. The only problem I have is that I have multiple runes attached to thraldin but thay are not applying to his stats. For example I have like 4 or 5 attack speed runes on him and his attack speed doesnt increase and the same thing with life steal. Other than that it's fun to replay levels to try different things!

Enjoyable. I can see myself putting many hours into this game. My only complaints are: On higher levels and while sped up, there appears to be too much onscreen for it to run properly e.g. lag and missed taps. It gets hard to control unless you play at regular speed, even at low graphics. Paywall locked heroes. When other heroes are grindable in-game, locking new(ish) content behind a paywall is a bit much. Despite these issues, I strongly recommend.

The game starts off free to play and is a tried and true tower defense game. Once you get a good ways through it becomes a little more fremium if you plan on beating missions with a perfect score. The makers did allow for players to grind upgraded to a certain extent but be prepared for many hours of the same mission over and over.

Game is really fun and good but there needs to be an easy difficulty or a change in difficulty because its to hard. I want to play more but im stuck on levels and I cant get past them without paying for stuff. There should be an easy mode for people that just want to have casual experience and not make them turn away because its to hard.

(Edited) I've played it's predecessors in the past, so I'm always excited to see new games such as this! I still love the overall strategic-ness of the game and the artwork! (Sometimes the heroes remind me of characters from HotS by Blizzard). I'm also the type of player that likes to hoard all the runes, in order to upgrade them to the max possible level and that takes a LOT! If you're a CASUAL PLAYER, like me, try to save a hefty amount of the purple gems so you can upgrade buildings AND runes.

I've been playing Empire Warriors for a couple of months now. I really enjoy it. Usually I only play 2 or 3 levels a day, but it is easy to get sucked in and spend hours plowing through levels. The level up system for towers and heroes is good. You can rearrange your points whenever you want to customize for the level you are playing. The difficulty is just right for keeping me interested. I enjoy trying different strategies to pass levels.

It's frustrating that you have to pay for the 3rd tower upgrade option. I understand if you beat so many levels on nightmare difficulty you can unlock them like so, but that is nearly impossible. Also, I had to uninstall the app trying to restart and experiment with different heroes. When I've tried reinstalling, multiple times, it never pulls up on my phone. I've tried restarting, turning off, reinstalling at different Internet location. It still does not work??

This game is basically a copy of Kingdom Rush with only a couple unique features. But it's still fun, and it's pretty easy to get gems to buy heroes. The game is not pay to win like some claim, but it does get very hard later on. My biggest complaint is that some levels (35 in particular) are really easy to beat except for the boss at the end, which is almost impossible to beat. This is annoying when the levels are fifteen rounds long. Also, third difficulty is outrageous. (I can't beat lvl 5.)

The controls are a little wonky and sometimes fail to respond. It's nice that you don't HAVE to spend money to advance in the game at a reasonable pace. Experience could accumulate a little faster, and do away with the whole "proximity" thing so all heroes get experience for combat. The bosses and the challenges are asinine, but not enough to make the game unplayable (so far).

If you're looking for a free fun tower defense game you found it. Once you start trying the nightmare difficulty and the upper half of the stages it becomes apparent the amount of 'waiting' you need to do. Upgrading a stat from one level to the next can easily take a whole day worth of "mining." Ads are optional. Stopped playing after grinding for a month trying to level up 3 characters. Best characters need to be payed for or you need to play for 30 weeks. Most of the cast is not good.

This game is an inferior version of the game Kingdom Rush, by Ironhide studios. It angers me that these developers cannot come up with their own ideas, and instead prey off of Ironhide's creativity and original ideas. This game exhibits most of the same mechanics and graphics with a less engaging intro and weaker characters. The main map ui was cluttered and confusing, nothing was explained to the player. Overall, I would suggest you go play kingdom rush instead, it is a better game. The first one is free, and the other two games are well worth the price.

So far I've had a great experience with this game. While it does look and feel like the popular game series "Kingdom Rush" there are fundamental differences that make it an entirely new game. My only complaints are how the last (and best) tier of towers are locked behind a paywall and all the heroes are expensive to unlock. Edit: Upon closer inspection it appears my complaints were false. You can get the towers without paying and the heroes without grinding all day and night. 10/10

Update: Purchased one of the more powerful heroes and now the game is much easier. The starting heroes are simply not enough to get to the later stages of the game and Nightmare/Hell mode. Original Review: I enjoy a good challenge but this game is very, very hard once you get to level 20 and beyond on regular mode. I always thought I was pretty good at tower defense games but this game is very, very challenging. Almost to the point of frustration.
