More About Empire Survivor: Idle Defense

Welcome, aspiring mage, guardian of Arcane Order, to the realm of Elysia. This mobile RPG places you in the role of a powerful sorceress, tasked with defending the mystical floating city of Elysia from relentless waves of monstrous invaders. Armed with a vast arsenal of spells and the strategic manipulation of enchanted runes, you'll stand as the last line of defense against a growing magical threat.
Runic Empowerment: The core mechanic of Empire Survivor revolves around enchanted runes that materialize around your platform. By tapping, swiping, and holding these runes in specific sequences, you’ll cast a variety of spells. Each rune sequence corresponds to a different spell, offering a strategic depth to combat.

Elemental Mastery: Spells fall under five distinct elemental categories: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Arcane. Fire spells deal high damage in a concentrated area, while Water spells offer crowd control and healing. Earth spells create defensive barriers, while Air spells focus on mobility and manipulation. Arcane spells are versatile, offering powerful effects and utility.

Combo Building: Stringing together rune sequences unlocks increasingly powerful spells within the same element. A basic Fire rune sequence might launch a fireball, while a more complex combination could unleash a meteor shower. Mastering these combos becomes crucial in taking down tougher enemies.

Enemy Variety: The monstrous hordes come in all shapes and sizes. From hulking Orcs resistant to physical attacks to nimble Goblins adept at dodging spells, you’ll need to adapt your strategy based on enemy weaknesses and attack patterns.

Boss Battles: Interspersed throughout the waves are epic boss battles against monstrous champions of the encroaching darkness. These encounters require a deep understanding of enemy mechanics, strategic use of elemental combos, and quick reflexes to emerge victorious.

Character Progression: As you defeat enemies and earn experience, your Enchantress will level up, unlocking new spells, upgrading existing ones, and enhancing your overall magical prowess. You can further customize your playstyle by specializing in a particular element or focusing on utility spells.

Equipment and Enchantments: Scattered throughout Elysia are hidden caches containing enchanted equipment. These items can bolster your magical power, enhance specific elemental abilities, or provide passive benefits like increased health or cooldown reduction. Additionally, you can discover powerful enchantments that modify the effects of your spells, allowing for further customization.

Social Features: While Empire Survivor is primarily a single-player experience, there’s a strong social aspect to the game. You can join guilds with other players, share strategies, compete in leaderboards for the highest wave cleared, and even collaborate on special guild challenges.

The Story Unfolds: As you progress through the game, defeating wave after wave of enemies, the narrative unfolds. Fragments of lore are revealed through collectible scrolls and cryptic messages intercepted from enemy forces. You’ll learn about the source of the corruption, the motivations of the enemy leader, and the potential for a hidden prophecy that could turn the tide of the war.

Aesthetics and Soundscape: Empire Survivor boasts a vibrant and colorful art style. Elysia’s floating cityscape is a marvel to behold, bustling with life and pulsating with arcane energy. The enemy designs are grotesque and varied, each creature reflecting its elemental alignment and combat style. The game’s soundtrack is an immersive blend of orchestral music and ambient sounds, swelling with intensity during combat encounters and calming during moments of respite.

Could have been a fun game. Trying to upgrade anything is a massive pain as I have to click 10+ times for it to register making it practically unplayable. Games cannot be released in an unplayable state. Additionally my progress was wiped two times and had to start from the beginning tutorial again. Really not worth any of your time unfortunately. Edit: This was on my mobile.

This is an edited review. Payment system was buggy. Ads free was broken before. Now it has a work around. The floating ad free purchase works. I purchased the ad free now using the floating ad free pop up. Great game so far. I just hope that any purchases that didn't push through at first would refresh after restarting the game. And not show as already purchased. Hopefully more cheaper items in the store soon. I'll try to take a pic and send the bug error to you. Email already sent in-game

The game will have nothing new pass day 2 of playing. Same 5 monsters from start till you finishes the game, but only in higher numbers (quantity, hp and attack). Felt like a total waste to purchase anything with actual money since the most important thing to buy is to only reduce the time u play the game (no ads, 4x speed, and auto play) whereby the 4x speed has a weird calculation that it causes your skills to pass through the enemy unit later in endless stage. In short, not a good gaming exp.

Liking the game, but the maxed-out range and speed? Not my thing. Aggro prefers fast foes, making ranged enemies hard to kill. I was wondering if tapping to hit from afar could work. Or making orange skills stronger for better gameplay. But really, those orange skills struggle to kill even with one enemy. Getting through levels is hard fr without useful skills, except the blue and green ones.

The game is ok, I expect it to be good eventually if it gets updated. The main issues being that some mechanics seem bugged (attack speed, critical damage, gold from crit), and that the game seems to have trouble auto saving and you constantly lose progress. After many attempts I seem to have found out that if you minimize the app then reopen it in android, it saves your progress, although you still lose your research, making it pretty impossible to progress research

The name "Ad kingdom: Idle Ad TD" suits this game better. Ads are everywhere. I thought that the option to watch an Ad to get silver for upgrades in the tutorial was a simple mistake but it was a BIG RED FLAG for what was coming later. Finished tutorial and an ad showed up. Went to upgrade panel, did a few upgrades, came back and another ad showed up. Literally everywhere is mined with an Ad and they are not even short ones, all 30 secs. AVOID.

Very good game, but... Well the game has potential, if I like the game I give my support by paying the not ads pack, this one was expensive, not much but it could be more cheaper. The game is just like others, same mechanics, same content, no events? And it is very likely to be a boring one as the time pass. The two starts rate is because it need more content and because I hate the energy system.

Easily the best F2P game I've ever played on mobile! I can only think of two things that could make it even better: 1. Graphic options, endless mode can get a little laggy due to the amount of enemies. Perhaps an option to reduce graphic quality could resolve this issue. 2. Higher game speed option in endless mode, it takes a very long time to get to the later stages of endless mode. It's not viable to keep the game running for more than 1 hour just to get to stage 250. Thanks to the devs!

App is decent enough. Full of micro transactions as one would expect. Biggest problem is the terrible translation to English. Upgrades don't make sense half the time or don't mean exactly what they say. Better translations and this could well be a 4star app

I played daily challenge 2 times and the app is cracked. First time game started to slow after wave 400 and second time the app shut down itself and of course I got no reward after re-enter the game.

Was really enjoying the game but the latest update has made it clear that the more money you spend on it, the faster you advance. While true with most games these days, the advantage if paying far outshines anything that could be done with time and effort. I.E. lab rewards for doing research, you get 5k lab potions but if you pay 19.99, you get 20x the reward.

A fantastic idle tower game. Each stage doesn't last too long, the upgrades per stage are highly impact full, and the workshop upgrades are cheap to start and goes up fast enough to only be left behind if you push too fast. No forced ads and what ads are there give you something for your time. I highly recommend this one.

Pretty good overall, progress is fine as a mostly f2p, I only bought ad removal, but there is a pretty big performance loss during endless mode. Around wave 100 when enemies are plenty the game slows to a crawl. I'm on a pixel 7a so it's definitely not my device. Needs some optimization or something to prevent slow downs and overheating.

the game is simple and fun, and the No-Ads purchase is both relatively cheap and actually functions as advertised, giving boosts w/o ads. I tried to sign in and it restarted my progress, including my purchases. there's no way to restore purchases in-game, or my progress. EDIT: support managed to restore my purchase but not the data. there needs to be a function in-game to restore purchases, but maybe the devs will work that out. as of now, best advice is to sign in/link your email straight away!

I love the game, some issues I'm seeing is that maxing game speed does nothing after 3x speed it's actually slower to beat bosses on speeds above that so I 4.5x until eh boss the drop down to 2-3x speed and it clears it 5 times faster. I'd like to see more extensive talent trees and different maps maybe prestige modes or events in the future. Other then that I'll keep finishing the maps as they come out. 3.5

I like this game but the balance is really weird. I am fighting monsters with 9 or more digits but I am only up to doing 4 digits worth of damage. The ability to lessen damage is also odd as the actual choice caps out at 81 percent but the other one says it stops (81+200) percent. My game crashing after I have watched a strange number of ads and not getting credit for watching them. Overall it is a fun game minus the strange issues. Enjoy.

There isn't a whole lot that distinguishes this game from all the others in this genre. From the cards, to the battles, to the labs, even the shop. Nothing is new or unique. But I will say, their UI is by far superior to the others. Every page and menu is simple to navigate through, icons and buttons are all the perfect size and non-intrusive, and this game has NO push ads! The only ads you deal with are the ones you watch for benefits. Add some unique features and this could be a five star game

Love the game but I've hit a technical wall where the game decides to crash around wave 160 and you get NOTHING when it does. Also tabbing out at all clears all wave progression if only for a moment.... This issue also happens on my pc aswell. I still enjoy the game but it's becoming an impossibility for me to continue to advance progress wise. I own the ad pack so it's not as bad but it's a little ridiculous to require f2p players to watch an hour or more of ads to claim everything PER DAY.

The game is pretty cool and fun, I can look past the poor hit registration on most of the AoE effects, because after a certain point you really don't even need to actively play the game cause death wave, and chain lightning is so strong. Biggest issue is trying to do endless, if it didn't crash so easily I could probably manage to clear thousands of waves by now. The fact that the campaign just stops after lvl 50 is kind of lame, feels like there's no point after that. Prestige would be cool

Not a bad game if you like sideshow or PowerPoint. After round 200 (some times less) game becomes unplayable to the point i leave my phone on for hours to get nothing. There are things I would like to see like Improving skills upgrade during levels but do have comments for developers. Recommendation: Increase movement speed by 80% to all enemies. Spawn enemies closer and limit ranged to half in hero range. Alow player to limit effects and or shown enemies. Improve overall performance.
