The last update came with tons of problems, "loading" screen for long time, delays and errors processing voice... The previous version was great, the app is good though (if you are able to use it).

It's a nice app. The visuals are pleasing to the eye and there's a lot of features so you won't quickly get bored of it and there are a lot of lessons that cater to your interests so it feels engaging. I didn't get the subscription so I don't know anything about that but so far this app is good. To the people who want to get better at speaking English and sound like a native this app isn't half bad.

Their website was so misleading about the ai conversation access and they refuse to refund my money or change my membership to the correct one even though I paid 34% more than their premium membership within 7 weekdays of their refund policy. Their pronounciation app is for english beginner or kid. There are many cost free alternative for this, such as online cambridge dict. Be mindful: They care only the money they receive and not a mutual benefit. Dissatisfying and deceitful service !!!

UI is clattered and it isn't simple. This app used to have lifetime pro option as well. it also increased prices dramaticly, Now it doesn't have that life time option thus it became useless. Other app is much better for the money. I'll renew subscription of the other app instead of giving this one long term try. It didn't satisfied me in first glance.

I've bought the premium version, but man, this app went down badly. Right now, i cant even practice because of some unidentified crashes or bugs. I cant complete most of my speaking practice with ai, since after giving some answers it shows me "..." below my current answer, after that it doesn't process anything at all...

Before I downloaded this apps, my English level is very worst or we called it Elementry level ( Beginners level). After I used it this apps my progress were improved day by day and right now my English level is Intermediate level (B1/B2). If you don't mind can you notice my English level with this statement. Thanks for whom created Elsa Apps.

The ads not went out from my screen. I wait for 1 minute and so, but the ads. stay still on my screen. Therefore I can't continue my study. Usually the ads will vanish for about 30 seconds. Bur now, there is not the time countdown for the ads, so my screen stay still.in the ads and can't continue to the lesson. I have the screenshot for it. How long my screen just stay in ads screen.

My 7 day free trial ended recently and money 56usd was automatically deducted from the card. There is no way to refund because it's not according to "google policies". Then I tried to use Elsa but still my account shows free account. I tried multiple times to resolve this issue through their support email but the same email keeps coming to me. It's been more than a week now. My account is not yet upgraded. Now I'm deeply frustrated. I lost my valuable money and also the paid subscription.

Whoever gives it a good review probably has premium. When I say the options are limited without premium, THEY ARE LIMITED. Like I have less options, less lessons etc. Etc. And it is soo annoying. Unless you're willing to pay, which personally I'm not, then don't even bother trying it. Edit: I was scrolling thru the reviews and apparently it was a trash experience for some people that HAD premium sooo.. This app is just bad.

Hey, this app is amazing! I can finally talk to someone without spending a fortune on a tutor. But there's one thing missing from ELSA. I wish ELSA had a free-talk chat feature with AI. That way, I could talk about anything I want, not just specific topics. I hope you'll add this feature soon!

The app is practically useless if you don't pay for a premium membership. Also the interface is quite convoluted, there are so many options here and there that is hard to find where or with what option you should start. Still is the best app to learn how to improve your pronunciation thanks to its speech analysis feature. In summary is a good option if you pay for premium.

So far I really like the app and am considering purchasing the pro version. My English is already on the Native level so I struggle with "finishing touches". The one improvement that I would make is when there's practice after a lesson, it highlights in yellow sounds that weren't great but the app doesn't tell me what exactly I'm doing wrong. This would be huge help!

Great app. But i it would be so much helpful if i could pick words from a sentence and listen to the correct pronunciation of that single word. The choice is given to listen to the letter sound of it ,but not the whole word. Also it would be great to have a course to help distinguish the difference between long and short vowels and similar sounding words like sheep, ship cheap chip.

I am a native English speaker. I tried this app to test its assessment abilities. I score between 70% and 85% speaking in my natural voice. So, all you people using this app to improve: don't be hard on yourself!! It's never going to perfectly assess your skills. You best bet is to get help from real people, but this app seems like a nice tool to supplement your learning. You can upload videos or audio of yourself to YouTube or SoundCloud and request feedback for free from the community too. :)

The intention of this app is amazing,and I thought it was going to help me improve my pronunciation, however, I have experienced the opposite. I went down from a native level to an advanced level. In my progress chart is obvious how my performance has decreased, even though I put a lot of time into it. It takes forever to get a sentence right, there are some others impossible to get right, no matter the amount of time and/or effort you put into it. I'm confused and disappointed.😥😥

If anyone wants to see a bunch of in-app purchase popups, this is a great app. Cause they only care about selling their pro package. Not to teach you anything. Very hard to navigate through. Horrible experience of in app purchases. This app just doesn't want you to learn anything. All they care is to sell their pro package, and nothing else. You click one single thing, and the pro package promotion pops up. Absolute waste of time. Also, the AI can't even pick up pronunciation errors properly.

Greatest English learning app I've ever used, but not without problems. So far have found only one: TOO slow video downloading. It would be tolerable if I could pause the video and wait until it will be downloaded or go back to the beginning of the video and watch it properly, but when I go back to the beginning, it starts to load again and again. It is impossible to watch. At least very uncomfortable. Internet works properly. Great app, but be sure to fix this point. Five stars in advance🙌

So my first month using Elsa was okay, it was kind of slow. It couldn't record my voice properly resulted in lower scores. Now the app is smoother, faster, and can record my voice much better. The app has helped me improve my speaking which makes me feel more confident in my own voice. I think this was one of the reasons why I was able to answer questions clearer and louder in my interviews and land 2 offers after that. Keep it up team Elsa!

Was looking for an automated way to learn what I mispronounce. Two issues. 1. When app spotted that I pronounced something incorrectly then very often recording of my pronunciation was misaligned (for instance, it played back the next word). As a result it was not clear whether I actually made errors or it was just an algorithm issue 2. I tested a program on my native speaker teenager and an app gave very low score (lower than mine). I definitely would be more than happy to ever achieve that level. I don't think the score reflected the reality. Overall these two issues made me not to trust this app. Though the app might be great and this was just anecdotal very limited cases I'm not sure it will work for me.

Mixed feelings. As a person who's close to a C2 level I find it useful that the app helps to identify when certain sounds are pronounced with a foreign accent which helps to fix them. However, the intonation exercises are broken - I even recorded the correct pronunciation from the app and tried to play it, the app was still showing that it's incorrect, which is nuts. Lastly the free version is almost not usable. Not only that you have a 5 lesson limit per day but most of them are still locked.
