Poor resolution of the cover of the book I bought, I genuinely cant make out what is depicted, that might be whoever made the Ebook, but still annoying. The app won't acknowledge my page turn unless I drag it from the exact edge. Those are my complains, I am coming fresh from using Google's Playbooks app. I could have bought the same book at the same price on Amazon and used the Kindle app, which is also better. Small things I know, but objectively there are better apps out there.

Having trouble trying to finish a book I purchased from the playstore. Initially it was working, but yet when I tried to open the book later down the road, I can't see anything but blank pages. Truly frustrating. Especially because I hadn't got too far in the book to begin with an once I found some time, it's like the damn app doesn't want to work. Smh. I don't know if this is truly the only app that will let you read the ebooks you purchase or not, but I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with this app.

Horrrrible. It glitches nearly every time I try to turn the page and just gets stuck on a blank screen until I close the app and reopen it. Please fix this so I can actually read the book I paid for 🙄 This is why actual books are so superior to ebooks. I only purchased the ebook because the physical book wasn't in stock near me. I regret not just waiting for it to come in the mail.

If you have dyslexia, trouble reading small font, are sensitive to light, or literally anything that cam make it hard to read go with anything else. Not that ebooks will let you if you bought from the ebooks website. Which I can only assume is why they are able to get away with putting out such a half baked app. They don't give you any options at all. You can't change the font size, you're stuck with Times New Roman (notoriously hard to read for dyslexics), there's not even a dark mode. Awful

Edit: I had a brightness setting that seems to have been fixed. This app is great. I have a ton of books on my phone and my tablet that I can access at any time. It's really easy to import many downloaded files at a time. I especially like the customization options for the colors of the font and background.

I don't like how it lags when I'm turning the pages and also that I can't adjust the margins and the spacing. Hopefully they work on all that cause I started with this app and would like to continue using it as I've purchased many books on there but if not I'll just repurchase on my Kindle or Nook.

This was a frustratingly difficult app to navigate while reading a book. At one point I somehow opened up a slider at the bottom of the page that took me about halfway through the book, I can't for the life of me figure out how to recreate that menu now that I want to go back so I have to scroll backwards. Garbage app. Wasted the money I spent on the book I was reading. I highly suggested testing it out on a free book before wasting any money.

Slow to open. Not enough controls. Difficult page turning unless the volume rocker is used. No way to sync with other devices so the current bookmark can be kept. No way to automatically switch to night mode. There are better apps out there than this one. Edit to add: On second thought, two stars is way too generous. Removing one star due to continued frustration over this poorly designed app.

UI is hard to use - can't turn pages with my left hand. Downloading books was a miserable experience in technical glitches. Home screen button is exactly where the page slider is, so going to a random page by accident happens all the time. Can't zoom in on illustrations. No margins on pages and no way to adjust them. Overall, this app feels unfinished and buggy.

Not for nothing, I've been using this e-reader app for all my offline ebooks and pdf files for about seven or eight years (trying to remember how long I've had my RCA tablet) and have not had one problem nor one complaint about the application. Ad-free, which is more than most reader apps can say. It is more than enough for me, though I've never used the online features as all my epub files are on my PC or the SD card. Would recommend.

This app is just dosen't work well for many reasons. Download errors when trying to download a book you JUST bought. Clunky interface. Partially viewable pages. Cut off illustrations. Illustrations that bleed into other pages and obscures words. Can't read what you just bought in adobe or other, better pdf readers. Overall experience shouldn't have been this frustrating. I won't be using this app again except for the one book that I'm now forced to use this app to read. Never again.

Cuts off the last line of some of pages. Mysterious highlighting appears on the text sometimes, and you can't remove it. Limited controls of the look of the pages. Couldn't find a dictionary. Can't read its books in other readers. (They reference a complicated process using a desktop computer and Adobe software, but it didn't work for me.) You get the idea; a piece of junk, and I hate being forced to use it. All that said, you can read most of an ebook on it.

Navigating the app is a chore, it's poorly organized. When in a book and you want to access the apps menu, you're supposed to click somewhere on the page. This feature works about 50% of the time. There's no option to scroll instead of "turn" a page. To make the book work through other platforms, there's a lengthy process that I couldn't get to work (I have a masters in computer science). It feels like I don't own the copy of my book. I can't import it to onenote to annotate.

I love this app for reading books, but I can't figure out how to zoom in on pictures, so graphic novels are out. Also there is no way to organize your collection unless it's on your phone. I only keep a few books on my phone at once to conserve space, it would be really helpful if I could organize the books that aren't on my phone currently. They're just one big messy list.

I wish that the login option mattered with imported books. I've had to reimport books every time I switch devices, would be nice to have them automatically save into my account. This has never been important enough to bring up until now because it was just an inconvenience. But now that ads have been added to the app I wanted to bring it up as well. I will be looking for a different app to use due to the addition of ads. Would be great if there was a paid option so I could continue using.

What a lousy app!!! Worst reader app I've ever used! I have tried it on two android phones Samsung S23 and Motorola G4. Both have the same disappointing and totally frustrating results. First and most important, when swiping left to go to ? to first page of the current chapter. I have found the work around to this is to tap on the middle of the screen then navigate to the next chapter using the table of contents. Second, no customization such as font size and no night mode.

This app has gone from the best to the worst; Every "feature" is designed to prevent you from making progress in your reading. Starting with the 'integration' (theft) of brightness into the app itself, whose control is overlayed in the same position as some rediculous fast-page-jump slider (get ready to lose your place over and over again), and ending with the fact that cropping and zoom are no longer features or saved, means your manual zoom confuses the internal bookmark when you return.

Awful app. 1) I had a hard time downloading the book because the app and website don't seem to talk to each other (on the same device) unlike most other apps over used. When I opened the library, there were 9 books I hadn't ordered but not the one I had. 2) the reader is really janky, the cover art doesn't display, the page turner works randomly, and it's generally difficult to use. 3) The drm-free book is still tied to the app. I won't be using it again.

Trying to figure out why my phone was so hot, I realized I had an app set to never sleep regardless of how long it's dormant - this one. The only permission it requests is to send you notifications, but if you look closer, there's a laundry list of terrible things it's allowed to do in the background like download things without your knowledge, etc. I force stopped and a few minutes later deleted it. My phone was instantly cooler. User beware!

This has got to be the worst ebook reader app I've come across. I bought a book and can't read it. Once I open to read it that's it. Can't flip the to the next page neither can I scroll up or down. The only way I seem to be able to move to the next page is if I use the percentage slider which jumps to several pages ahead.
