I love the preJune2023 UI on this app. I was a beta user & saw the coming changes before they happened & left the beta program because I didn't like the new design. I've been using an all black theme that was no longer available. I didn't like the lack of scrolling on the time. All icons/buttons/etc felt bigger & chunky & it made it harder to use. And I miss the bird. I get that the developer wants to improve, but it'd be great if instead of completely redesigning an app we love, he made a 2nd.

Seems like a good app... Unless you're super tired and can't figure out the math and to get it to shut off you try using the calculator because you're so tired but the problem resets every time. So then you try to do it in your head but the phone keeps yelling at you and also resetting the problem every minute. Upon realizing you're never going to do real math in your head while barely awake you are forced to uninstall the app and write a review to wake up instead. Not for me, better options.

This has been my go-to alarm clock for years, but the recent redesign is a nightmare. I had different sounds for each alarm and it changed them to all the same sound and took away all the old sounds. The old version used to let you just type a single digit for the hour (unless it was just 1) and now you have to type 0 before all single digit numbers. Also cannot scroll to different numbers. Seeing others say it doesn't work makes me nervous to see if my alarm will work in the morning!

Loved it at first for getting me up, but then, and I don't know what I do, the alarms don't even sound!! Like what the hell! Do I HAVE to keep the program running in the background? Does turning my phone on silent mean that the alarm won't work? This will still be a fall back alarm for me but I guess it's back to the standard Samsung one. Y'all better fix this because it's affected so many mornings already

Exactly what I was looking for. I don't like being startled awake by a loud, shocking alarm. This is the only alarm app that has the "gentle wake up" feature I lost from my Samsung alarm with a system update. It is THE BEST ALARM FEATURE if you like waking gently to an alarm that slowly increases in volume. This alarm app gives you full control. It's perfect!

I liked it before the redesign, and I wish there was a way to revert back to that, sort of like a legacy design or something. The change was a surprise for my groggy brain and it took me forever while half asleep to try to snooze my first alarm that went off for the first morning after the update that I used it. Other than thar, it's all good.

I really like this app though a recent update has made it less desirable. I hope these items get remedy soon or it's back to trying apps in a quest for a better one. Still a good app just not great anymore. Now, upon alarm, it sometimes comes to full screen as it always did, though sometime I just get a small notification at the top of the display, and I have to open the app. Also, once or twice when I've snoozed or dismissed the alarm the app closed, unlike before , when the app stayed open

OLD 5-Star comment: Awesome alarm clock, timer, reminder. NEW 1-Star comment: After 10+ years of allegiance, I'm now in search of a replacement alarm, timer, and reminder app. The "updated" changes seem to be oriented toward children. New big buttons and gaudy colors replace professional, streamlined look. Modified methods of receiving, skipping, or dismissing alerts seem hit-or-miss; definite change from previous dependable, repeatable ways. Plz provide option to retain old config.

The new update not only makes the interface more confusing, but it doesn't save the alarm if you hit the 'back' button, so you lose it unless you hit the hidden save button at the bottom, under the ad. I wish I could downgrade to the older version (not sure why they ever changed it) I'm looking for another app now.

I like this app. I do wish the alarm turned off when you close the app. If by chance you accidentally close the app you have to open the app again to turn it off. Also it may just be me but I have tried to set an alternate week schedule but I can't get it to do so. I work every other Saturday. I would like to be able to set it for that and not have to remember to push skip next every other Friday. Other than that I love this alarm clock. If this stops happening I will give it 5 stars.

I don't know what has changed, but after my alarm goes off, the app keeps announcing the time with each minute that goes by. My settings have this turned on for when the alarm is ringing. It's been dismissed now for 45 minutes and this thing keeps announcing the time while I troubleshoot. I just uninstall and reinstall it guess. Glitch city

This alarm worked great for months. It must have happened with a recent update, but my alarms are no longer going off. When they reach the time specified, they just roll over to "tomorrow". Obv that is not what I want. I've just been lucky to wake up on my own the past few days. 12/19/18 update: despite several software updates, the alarm feature is still not working. the alarm continues to roll over to "tomorrow" when the time comes.

I found this when I first got my Pixel since I did not like how the pre installed clock worked. I can use my on sounds for alarms and the label is clearly visible when the alarm sounds. The only knock against this is that I can't set an alarm to repeat monthly. I can set it as a weekly alarm or for a specific date, but it would be nice to have the option to set one for a specific day of every month.

Changed my rating down to 3 stars from 5. I have been using this app for years across several phones. I distinctly remember even paying a small fee to go ad free to support the developer, but now with the latest update there are now ads showing up. Update 7/5/23 back to 5 stars. The ad problem is mostly fixed now. There is a space in the app that says "Ad" but no advertisement banner is being displayed anymore, so I'm happy with that.

EDIT 3/19/24 APP NO LONGER WORKING, CANNOT OPEN WITHOUT CRASHING, ALARMS DO NOT WORK. My phone keeps saying it crashed bc the app has a bug & to check for app updates but there's none. It was working this morning but now it's refusing to open. DEVELOPER SAYS ITS NOT ON HIS END. So rating is up to 3 stars for now. I love that it can play a random alarm sound. It keeps me on my toes so I don't get used to an alarm and stay asleep. I also love the feature to set an alarm for specific dates.

I love this app, it has helped me wake up for years. It's cute and fun, the ads are noninvasive, and the challenges help me out a lot. However, today it had the strangest bug: I have it set to do voice recognition for one of the steps, but today the microphone just wouldn't activate. Restarting my phone didn't work, so I reinstalled the app. Now on the reinstall, when I add the voice recognition step, it displays an error about being unable to find the service. A permissions issue, maybe?

I'm always trying new alarm apps - thinking there has got to be a better one out there. Early Bird just may be it. It has an attractive but simple interface and all the features sleepy heads need. And the alarm times, once set, are large enough to see. The Timer feature has short cuts that I also really like. For example, you touch "20" twice to set for 40 minutes. No scrolling through a list of numbers.

This has been one of the few no-cost reliable alarms I've found with no annoying ads popping up. I have used this app for a few years. My only issue currently is that feature "speak memo" when the alarm goes off has changed and suddenly it speaks at such a rapid rate, can't understand it. I set multiple alarm reminders & this sudden change is annoying. The alarm still is reliable & for now I just turned off that feature, but I liked it. I cannot find any setting that adjusts rate of speech

I''ve used this app for over 7 years and LOVE IT best alarm clock app ever. Features are the best ever. BUT, ever since the 2024 update I have to unlock my phone to turn the alarm off and oftentimes I can't even turn the alarm off or snooze from the notification bar. Instead I have to unlock my phone, find the app, open the app, navigate to the alarm and shut it off. As a night owl who can't function most mornings that's asking a lot. Sadly I might need to find a new one. I have a Google Pixel.

This app is so customizable that I have one alarm set for every other day for two weeks every six months. (I use that one as a reminder for my teeth-whitening routine.) The one thing I wish it had is settings *for* reminders like that. So that for those instances it would just produce a notification rather than an actual alarm. That way I wouldn't have to worry about it overriding DND settings or messing with adaptive charging schedules.
