This so used to work well and was clean and simple. I loved (past tense!) the watchlist widget! The widget change is awful, but at least I can choose "list" now, even with the first 3 items forced to market indices that don't scroll away. Chose which info is included on the watchlist? Nope! Having the option to reorder is nice, but what about just turning off some of the columns? I may as well just make a shortcut to open my browser with the zoom set uncomfortably high. It's fewer steps!

E-Trade really needed an update. You would notice it just by looking at other trading apps. However, the new app does not provide any new feature and in some cases, like putting an order, previous version was actually faster and easier to use. For example, if you want to change the order type you need to open a new submenu which takes up the whole screen and has a smooth (slow) animation. That means you need to go through a few full screen submenu with slow animations to put a simple order.

99.9% perfect! easy to navigate love the fingerprint login option. its very convenient as well. the only issue I have is that the transaction list is extremely slow at updating the descriptions of debit purchases and cleared transactions. it is entirely possible that the app doesn't even have anything to do with that part or even have any control over it (maybe it's just the bank itself ), but if it is something that can be changed, that would be much appreciated and even more helpful!

With the latest update there are more bugs. Items in your watch lists are only alphabetical instead of custom. Real time quote prices are all different on watch lists, stock quote page, and chart at any given time! I have to change my chart settings EVERY DAY! Very frustrating considering they forced the update. With the pattern of app problems over time its probably worth the effort to change brokerages. If you're not in a brokerage yet look elsewhere. Things are not getting better.

E-Trade came across as a modern broker, and it somewhat delivered. I love E-Trade, and I don't plan on switching, but the app and the website looks unfinished. Here are some issues . - The stock screener is very old and even hard to navigate. - The app doesn't have enough widgets. Had to rely on Yahoo Finance to see my gains, value, etc. - Navigation in the app is starting to feel outdated, and it's not at the level of other competitors. I would like to know if work is being done on this.

I use the app to do day trades. My watch lists are extremely important. They are now stuck in alphabetical order and cannot be rearranged. That's very frustrating and hard to work around. Also when I put an option on a watch list, It tells me that no chart is available. I have to go back to the options chart and choose the particular option again, then I can get a chart. Very slow and inconvenient. Please correct these two problems. Thanks

Thank you for fixing the charting issues. NOW THERE IS ANOTHER PROBLEM! The app DOES NOT stay in real time when streaming, even when connected to WI-FI. I have to constantly refresh the screen in order to see the current price changes. This new app is horrible! Go back to the old app. I can't get any charts. It logs me out when I try to look at any chart. The new layout is horrible. What used to be visible on one screen is now spread out among many screens.

The old version was very user-friendly. It was easy for me to navigate my first time using. However, the new version was a surprise. Navigation was much more diffucult. It took me 2 weeks to locate everything. Also, the new design looks rather cheap. The old design looked more sophisticated and high tech. However, I've embraced change. Overall, it's not as bad as I initially thought. The sudden change was just a shock. 😯 Yet there is still room for improvement.

Terrible since new update. Layout is horrible and confusing. Can not look up stocks anymore, you have to leave the app and go onto an Etrade web page which is super tiny and nearly impossible to read and there are no analysis reports, only weird samples. The old version was good, useful, easy to use, all in one, so why change it?!? The new version needs to be changed back!!! UPDATE: so I figured out the symbol lookup. I still can't get over how UN-user friendly the new update is. Mind boggling!!

Latest "upgrade" of UX/UI totally misses the mark. It is an antithesis of "information at the fingertips" - sparce layout with low information density. Excessive navigation, lots of "who cares" stuff like Dow graphs - all of it instead of immediately getting to the point of showing me my portfolio with maximum info that fits on a page. I want to see my money, in DETAIL, and then I might navigate to SP futures or news - but this is not how it works in new release. A dud.

The new app has lost the share price change $ when in the portfolio view and with the all accounts option selected. I've tried the customize option but the "Change $" isn't available in the customize options list. Tried to use the message function to report the problem and have been getting the "something went wrong" message for the last 10 days. Don't bother trying to call, your battery will run out before someone answers.

The app is ok, if a bit cluttered, but I have to severely lower the rating because, when attempting to initiate a transfer into my account, the app reported that the transfer could not be made "at this time". I tried twice more and later found that it had initiated three transfers (with no notifications), resulting in an overdraft of the source account. This is inexcusable. UPDATE: This issue has cost me $56 so far, taken four hours of my time, and drained my checking account.

eTrade's app has always sucked pretty bad. They recently pushed out a new version of their app and it's abs horrendous. It now refuses to log in with the fingerprint reader (which was never an issue before). When that fails, the app locks up and you can't log in at all. It refuses to allow you to put in a password, unless you try force quitting the app. Even then, you'll put in your password and the app will just sit there with an endless spinner on screen. Hire some real developers people!

Your latest update kind of sucks. My tax lot dates are stuck in wash sale mode, and I just want to see the actual day I purchased that specific lot. I was able to control that previously. Also, the screen changes are super annoying. I had everything set perfect and y'all went and messed it up. Now sometimes it remembers my settings, and sometimes it doesn't.

The last update brought the issue I was struggling with in the past to live again Do you guys test the app at all? Try to go to Portfolio tab, Standard View in portrait mode on the phone and then try to swipe to the columns that don't fit screen width. 99% you would just switch to the Balances tab instead. Why is that??? I can tap on the tab on my own, I don't need it to change on main screen content swipe! The rest of the app is fine, the graph screen probably could be improved but it's usable.

Been a customer for 3 years now NEVER had an issue. Now the new update is horrible, and crashed about 5 different occasions & can no longer take screenshots. I actually used screenshots to compare charts past and present. I downloaded the older version and got a message saying I am being forced to update to the new and "improved" version. 3 years never had a major update and worked fantastic. What a shame.

Overall Easy to use. Pretty responsive. Doesn't freeze. My BIGGEST problem with it is that even if you navigate away from the app for 20 seconds, as soon as you come back, you'll get the a "no internet connection" message and then you'll have to restart the app even though you are MOST DEFINITELY still connected to the internet. Smh. It's MADDENING. That's enough to give it a 1 star rating. It's almost unusable

The app has become annoying. It keeps giving me errors, such as not showing the tax lots, opening the wrong stock on quote details, or switching the account when I want to buy more of a stock I already own. I tried clearing the cache and memory data, but it won't change anything. You need to fix this! Currently the worst app I have on my phone. So many bugs. Clearing the caché or reinstalling it didn't solve anything. It's sad having to leave Etrade just because they won't fix the app.

Sorry app. This app continues to get worse with every so called update. It appears no one who works on the app has any clue how to use it in real life. The 5 day graph is totally ridiculous and can't be used because of all the useless vertical lines and the background colors make it more confusing. All the pages with columns are so poorly laid out you get very little useful information on the page but lots of blank space. I have to clear the cache about every hour or so otherwise no refresh.

Trades are easy to make. However, the app crashes when the market is volatile, which defeats the purpose of having the app. I've missed out on several days of big gains. Also, the Watch List is confusing and Stock Price Alerts and Notifications do not work. I wish I had set up my accounts with a different server. I'll probably switch when I have time.
