It's a good game, and the puzzles are okay. I just wish there was more of a puzzle variety, I don't understand why match 3 is the default for games like this one and similar ones. Also, I hate that part of the story is locked behind a pay wall, and it sucks because there is a lot of context behind some of these 'exclusive' chats, voice mails, etc.Please add a closed caption option, I found it extremely difficult to hear parts of the game and that even includes wearing earbuds with the volume up

Truly a great app, but could use a few minor improvements. It's very immersive, and I like the variety in speech options and the story is captivating. However, the game is incomplete and there is no save option so you have to keep the app installed between episodes. There are also some missed text translations, and sometimes the sentences are a little hard to understand due to odd wording. Overall, the story is great and I can't wait for the next episode!

Idky Duskwood has 4.4 & Peek-a-Phone 4.8. I played both, & this is way more fun and realistic. I actually like the mini-games, which is just a gem game that gets more difficult as you get further in the story. The shortest ads I've seen (after a few seconds, you can ⏩️ twice). The developers put a ton of work in👍I'm playing the free version, but I appreciate it so much, I'm sure I'll buy it to support them. Some grammar is off, but it's barely noticeable. I know they're German😊. Addictive👀

I gave a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The story and on-going game is fantastic. My only complaint is that when it comes to the mini game, I feel that it doesn't give you enough moves on the games to pass it on order to get more credit to keep playing.... I've been stuck and the game is the same.... And if you don't complete it then you can't move forward in the game. I understand the higher level, the harder it gets. That'd just my opinion. Thank you.....

Exciting, fun, love it. I've read other reviews and disagree. This is not hard to play or hard to advance at all. Yes, there are mini games to advance, and sometimes they are a little difficult. Usually, they are easy. I finished the entire game in 2 weeks. The only purchase I made was 1 time $8, for credits which is cheaper than buying a game, I could have waited 30 minutes for credits. Plus, you can earn credits. This game is really worth it. Exciting game, waiting for Moonvale.

Has the potential to be an AMAZING game but it's not. It starts off strong. But by the time you get to the 2nd page of mini puzzles, it becomes near impossible without spending money. And the worst part is, you have to beat 2 or 3 puzzles after every 2 or 3 responses to ONE person. There were a few conversations before the next puzzle, but 15 min in and you will be ready to delete the app. It's such a shame because I really enjoy these type of games and want to know what happens.

Very invested in this story right now. it's a very good one that makes you wanting more. However, the chat/story part is not long before you have to play/hack again. One little convo then you're having to go play 3 games. short Lil convo and then games again. Then on top of that. There is a ad for every level you pass.EVERY LEVEL. I would rate this game a 5 if it wasn't for that.im in a good part of the story and it keeps making me play more games now than ever before

The story is great, but I can't stand the mini games. I deleted the game because of them. I wish there were a better mini game you could have us all do and something that doesn't get worse by difficulty. Playing 3 minigames just for the least bit of interaction for the actual game, terrible honestly. If you are like me you don't even spend money on a game unless theres worth to it! Elmwood trail was way better than this game, minigames weren't as complex and you didn't have to struggle

Great story line! I have played this game all from first release. Since than I have noticed the mini games have gotten even harder my 3rd time around. So the ftp advice: save your coins for episodes 5 on up! I need a longer dialogue with Alan, that's at least several episodes. He had so much story potential. I want him back in the next adventure. Lastly please, (after we complete the entire game) make a replay available without the mini games😩Sometimes we accidentally tap the wrong response!

Amazing game, great story, it's what you would want from a texting crime story. BUT....here's the deal...I purchased the "multimedia pack" because it's recommended for a more immersive experience, and while I do agree, I wish that I didn't purchase it because the MINIGAMES you must complete to progress further in the game are insufferable. At first they were fun and easy and then they get way too hard and there's no way to skip them. I most likely won't be able to finish the story because of it.

This games story and features are really great! Incorporating real life elements is something I've never seen in a game, especially one you can play for free with very few ads. I loved this game. My only complaint is the fact that the puzzles sometimes get TOO hard and having no option but to solve them all in the end , that could be better. I almost quit. I read many people have quit and never saw the end BECAUSE of this. There should be a way to use upgrades or a way to skip levels.

The game was good until this last chapter. It feels incomplete and it doesn't appear there will be a patch,epilogue or anything to give this story the ending it and the player base deserves. The mini games are an issue but with the last chapter there seems to be even more of them and the difficulty seems upped. Having to wait 20 minutes (unless you buy hearts) to try again just to have an unfinished story seems like a slap in the face.

I just finished playing this game and it was sensational! The developers of this game are geniuses! I found myself getting genuinely attached and concerned about some of the characters, as well as developing a sincere dislike for others. I had to remind myself more than once that it isn't real, it's just that immersive! I look greatly forward to the next game from Everbyte. Only reason for 4 stars are the mini games, they can take awhile and be frustrating.

Seems like it would be a decent game to play, but most of the time,the ads don't work...which you must watch after every time you play the cube game to progress. IIt'salso very slow going because of needing to play the games and run through the aads If you have the patience to sit through the non stop adds and have to redo some of the games because the ads dont work properly it would be fine. Also, keeping in mind its very slow going and progression is non-existent until you complete the games.

At first it's somewhat interesting but still a very drawn out boring dialogue. When it comes to the decryption match mitigames they're all easy up until the last one and then, just like the other games of it's type, it becomes a money grab, you don't get what you need without tapping through your credits and having to spend real money. Elmwood Trail is literally the only game in which I've found of this nature that truly is worth downloading and keeping. This is just another money grab app.

Overall, the game has a pretty thorough story and real people were used to play the characters in the friend group. The game gives the illusion of choice when interacting via text with these characters, so it's decently entertaining. My biggest criticism: I don't enjoy the Candy Crush-esque mini games that are necessary to progress through (but add nothing to) the story. Would make more sense to develop unique "decryption" puzzles rather than lazy gem match games.

immersive game with an intriguing story. some of it still doesn't make sense to me tho. and i wish you can skip the puzzle portion actually or if the puzzles were more related to the rest of the game would be perfect. overall good experience but it takes a long very long time because of the puzzles and you cant move on without completing them. played on and off for at least 2 years and only just completed it now.

Edit: Every time I remember about this game and open it up, it resets me back to chapter 6. I've played back through multiple times trying to finish. This time, I've uninstalled. Super sad. The game is definitely a 5 star otherwise. Original Review: Very nicely put together game/story. The mini games get a little annoying after a while, but they aren't horrible. I'm looking forward to more episodes!

The story portion of the game is good, but please take out or make the mini games easier, they get ridiculously hard and you can't progress the story at all. Either those two suggestions or add more mini games instead of the repetitive candy crush style one, I've already seen a bunch of other people complaining about the mini games as well. Just listen to them, please.

Stopped playing because the mini games came around too often. Felt like I got nowhere since i had to keep matching three. The mini games also get harder and i just didn't feel like putting a lot of effort into it since i wasn't engaged. You seem to just press one of 3/2 options every few minutes and then have to play a mini game. I'm sure the story gets better as time goes on. It just seems like a very slow start. Very well made, though! That's why I'm giving it 2.
