Similar problem to another similar app. The file path is being truncated! Not cool. The path listing is truncated! If you don't understand that, look it up. The full path is cut off and you can't read it's full length. I don't see how I can be more clear. Without the full path list, it can be very difficult to find the exact location of the file you are trying to find.

Really terrible experience with this app. Every single time that I run a scan and receive the results, before I can even react to the results, it goes back to the opening screen, as if I didn't just run the scan. I've tried it for three (3) days. I have run it numerous times. Sadly, Duplicate File Fixer is just another impotent application.

Love it! This app doesn't play games it literally goes into all of the folders between internal and external storage. One thing I would recommend is to have another option after scanning that says "delete the duplicates so far" (from the current duplicates on the screen ascending up to the first duplicate that the app showed the user) that way the user can delete all of the duplicates that he or she has seen and can return to check the other unseen duplicates later, when they have time.

Horrible. This app did not pick up any of my duplicates. I can see them listed in my file manager, but this app couldn't find them. Instead I was subjected to far too many video ads that I couldn't close or opt out of. And it asks if you want to clean junk files after each scan, which only refers you to another of their apps in the Google Play Store. This question must be answered after each scan. Don't waste your time.

It definitely found my duplicates. However, I had moved, or so I thought, the files I had moved from my phone to the SD card and the app wanted me to delete the files from the SD card. Too many to move so I just am unsure what to now to rate this. I did start to scan individual categories and just ticked the 26 boxes for the videos and saved 2.6 GB on my phone.

Fantastic app.. saved me on numerous occasions. 700 you tube videos.. go thru a lot of memory. Note You have to grant permissions on each page..so it can find the duplicates.. there may be around it, but that works for me.. just cleaned 618 meg.. Also make sure the recycle bin is empty.. i dont think this pertains to this app, but it is one of those sort of hidden casches.

Needs night mode/dark theme. Needs date info added to the information displayed on each file. Fullscreen video ads seem to appear at each screen change for each operation of the app. Needs a way to specifically scan removable micro sd cards and specific files within the removable sd card. I had a large amount of duplicate video files that I already knew about, and the app didn't find them. But it did point out a couple that I wasn't aware of.

The best one of this type of app that I have found. All others that I used never worked. I wrote the above in April and now 6 months later, it is still flawless. I had tried apps like this in the past but they would lock up, unable to deal with the tens of thousands of images that I have (obsessive meme collector) This one has no problem.. This is an amendment... It is the middle of January, 9 months later and it has worked incredibly well. I now give it 5 STARS ✨..and a year and 5 months 2 👍

App only allows for one LIGHT scan before even getting all permissions. Then allows a proper FULL scan and returns tons of results. Sounds great until you realize that not only do you have to upgrade to a paid subscription (YEARLY or LIFETIME options ONLY😰) and aren't allowed to batch delete photos, but you cannot even select them manually and delete them (rendering the app useless). Unless you want to pay $9.99 of course. So much potential- wasted.

Very handy, well designed app. Doesn't delete things automatically (which I wouldn't want). Shows you duplicate instances with all but one preselected for deletion for you to review. Finds duplicates even if the file names are different. You specify which directories to search. It's easy to use and helps you recover wasted space.

Once the scan was complete the app informed me that I had to give permission from the root since I had Lollipop. It supposedly showed me how to do that, but the pictures and font were so tiny it was completely useless, given that the directions were non-expandable. This was once a great app, but sadly I can no longer use it. *** They sent a link to a YouTube video that showed me what to do, worked without a hiccup

I wanted to try this app to remove duplicate audio files. Very fast and easy to set up. Didn't mind the ads as this is a free app in which I will rarely use but definitely recommend. Thank you. Retract: After using this app for 24 hrs, I rebooted my phone and cleaned. I went back to my music library and can still see duplicate audio files. I used the app 4 more times, reboot, cleaned. Going to decrease my rating from 4 to 2. So frustrating to keep running this app and getting same results.

Regarding review 12/6/20, don't assume the photos were not identical. My phone creates extra photos when I upload to Facebook and Instagram. The same ass photos, and several of them. When I say I clicked on "scan for duplicate photos," it should have brought up at least 20 images, and did not. So I ADDED DUPLICATE REMOVER from the play store and woah, look at that it worked like a charm! And it did what you said yours did and had adjustable settings for how close of a resemblance you wanted.

Spyware? Why does the app require permission for access to your phone number and call records when all it's supposed to do is to clean up your duplicate files? When you select "About This App" then stroll down to the bottom of the page and select "See more" at "App Permissions ", you'll see that this app wants to "read" your phone's "status" and "identity", plus it wants to have the full access to your network!

Duplicate Files Fixer & Remover just found (very quickly I must add) 215 duplicates in my storage! I use Picsart every day and I often forget to delete the edits that are saved in different stages so I end up with several copies of the same picture, so, this program is AWESOME for finding and deleting the copies. I'll start using it once a week as part of my deep maintenance process. Just got 700MB of space back on my Galaxy Note so yea.... that's impressive. -Thanks man I dig this DFF&R!

Do not install this app unless you want to delete pictures that you didn't want to delete. !!!!! Seriously!!! You showed you a picture saying it's a duplicate photo and then when you click on the duplicate photo to make sure it's the right photo they're showing, it's a total different photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the absolute worst apps in play store!!!!

Great app overall, saves you lots of time. It is understood the originals are selected/kept by default but no confirmation is received, which madenme a bit hesitant to delete pics,vids and files. Better to back up all files in a computer or the cloud first. it si still the best way to save mobile memory space, congrats to the developers for such a great Capp!

Love the app, I really do. However, I'm unsure how this charge of $9.99 (recently dropped to $1.99 USD) came into play. You guys already made another app called "Duplicate Photos fixer - Similar Photos" that does it for free. Now don't try screwing people over by messing the other one up but I wanted to point out how drunk someone has to be to miss that factor. Also, why does this app download systweak photos to the phone after cleaning? That part never made sense to me for cleaning software.

When I first installed Duplicate Files Fixer, it worked great! I loved it! Maybe after an update or my Google Pixel 7 Pro's update to Android 14, it started the blinking "needs permission", but there was nothing to click, just a gray background. I was unable to close the app. I had to use App Settings, & force it to stop. While there, I opened Permissions, everything was allowed, except phone, so I allowed that. I uninstalled & reinstalled it, no change. The YouTube fix doesn't fix doesn't work.

I Love it! This app, not only scanned my local files, but my SD card as well, releasing some much needed storage space. My phone had become so very cluttered, that I couldn't even open a program or file without a notification flashing across my screen warning me of my phones critically low storage space! So Thank you!
