Would be best ever if it interfaced with my car. I was looking for a replacement for Google Play Music. I mostly listen to my own library from an SD, at home & in the car. My car's bluetooth stereo lets me control whatever I'm streaming. But when I tried to skip a song in my Playlist with this app, it ignored my command. Wouldn't pause, either. Nothing. I have to be able to use my car stereo controls when I'm driving, not the phone's. It was in car mode. Very disappointing. Search continues.

This app used to function properly. Now all it does is crash all the time. It even stops a song your listening to to actually run an add if you happen to go back into the music player. That's just beyond obnoxious. The shuffle is garbage. You can have a song list of 100 songs and it will repeat a song 2 songs later. It will actually keep playing the same group of songs over and over. I imagine with the advertising money your getting you could make an attempt to actually fix some of these things.

Doesn't spam you with ads and makes them only slightly visible. Overall the best music player I've had, because of the quality mixed with the generosity of the lack of ads. Only problem is that sometimes the proper image doesn't display, and it just shows the thumbnail of something else you've downloaded. I haven't found a way to get the proper image if this happens :) Recommend 10/10

Press and HOLD the and buttons to get it to rewind or fast-forward through the song at intervals of approx. 10 seconds for each 1 second you HOLD the button down. Lots of useful effects & features in this app. But when I attempt to remove the ads (I'm even willing to pay to pay the $4 fee to upgrade)...I get a "server connection issue" error message. It seems that I'm stuck with the ads...seems that they don't want my money! So, only 4 stars now. Fix this for the full 5 stars! Problem fixed!

Definitely one of the coolest and efficient music apps out there!! However, the previous version of this worked actually better than this updated version for me. For some reason, the app recently has been stopping out of the blue. When looking up a song, it doesn't show all the letters typed in, and doesn't allow me to correct anything typed until I completely erase everything in the search box, and then retry searching.

*update: 4 years later and it seems literally nothing has been improved about this app's many, many problems. It plays music. Usually. If it can find it. More often than not it refuses to behave, almost always playing when and how you don't want it to and refusing to turn off. If you've always wanted to babysit a toddler with a serious learning disability, this app is for you!* What's the point of settings if the app is just going to do whatever the hell it wants whenever the hell it wants?

5/8/21 It's my favorite music player. Too bad my new tablet won't install it for some reason. I even tried getting the APK from an outside source (the latest version) and it still wouldn't install. I might see if an older version might work, but I doubt that it will. Update: Installing on my new phone. It's a must have. I thought I had installed it but realized I hadn't yet. This is only day 2 with this phone. I just can't believe that I made it to day 2 without installing Dub Music Player.

Great music app, I've been using for 5 years now. It used to crash rarely or (more commonly) the bass boost/virtualizer would stop working and make Bluetooth remote functions not work (fixable with an app restart), but within the last several months that stopped happening. I often use the pitch control on my music, and it still maintains crisp sound quality within -5% and 5% pitch change without distortion. Best sounding virtualizer I've found, and the ads are few and far between.

REALLY GOOD APP!. Good graphics, good equalizer, and, app can be moved to external SD memory! If you are a dance instructor or music teacher, you can speed-up, or slow-down the music without creating distortion. On a personal note, many years ago, (about 1963), I had a turntable with a variable pully arrangement, that allowed me to adjust the platter speed to the required tempo for dancing. That turn table cost me about $100.00, USED!

This thing will take over your phone. This app turns on and runs in the background constantly. As soon as you connect a Bluetooth device to your phone it starts up despite the fact that it is not set as a default. It's irritating if you have a headset on, it's worse if you don't have a headset it'll start anyway. Editor also sucks, it will remove songs from an album and have has 12 individual albums. Which means it will repeat the same song over and over. They screwed up this app badly.

Disappointed in this app. Dub sometimes updates when you open the app, and can take 1/2 hour or more. The "cross fade" feature has no purpose. In-app volume control (the main feature I was looking for) changes device volume, not the app's volume. Then one day the app decided to only access playlist folders & not artist folders. I downloaded a different app & was able to access all files, so this was not an issue with my phone or the files.

I have had this app for years, because I liked making the playlists and the graphics are nice. My problem is that when the music is playing, it suddenly shuts off. Also, when I reopen the app, it takes me back to the song that I first played instead of the one that was playing when it shut down. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Great app even better than my paid version of BLACK PLAYER EX. Only one thing needs to be better with this Dub player is the opening. Everytime i go into the app it takes around 8 to 12 seconds (slow) to open cause its loading all my 898 songs from my micro sd card. I wish it could just be opened with no loading as its already on my device with access to my music. Also this app needs new colors and visulizers as well as a CD (spinning like a cd mixer look). The vinyl record is cool but out dated!

Finally, a decent app. I've tried a half dozen and this is the best so far. It has a decent interface, uses playlists you already have established, and has balance control. It's probably stronger as an equalizer than a music player but has enough basic player features to fill that need. The only feature I need that it does not have is the option to repeat a single song. I can work around this by creating a playlist of one song and setting the playlist to repeat. Kudos to the developers.

For long time now this app has been working perfectly but now when I play a file with the sleep timer function off the app just kills the playing audio file a few minutes into listening and than I have to restart it over again. This is a newly developed problem that just started. Not sure why or what's wrong. Update: Dub player, competitor music app and Android media player are not the problem. All three work fine. It's the phones operating system that kills the audio file when listening.

Very nice! It'll be cool if it could play multiple songs from one folder before shuffle to the next folder. At a party you want to stick with one genre for a while before u move to the next one. No app has that feature. Also more DSPs! A crossover to further toon your hertz (or an EQ with many more bands) would be nice. I have many more ideas to keep you busy!!

I want to particularly single out this workhorse app & developer for my compliments. I have a little less than 10,000 song files on my Samsung Galaxy S10 5G phone with 256 g storage. Everything works well, is superlative, & they keep improving it. The 1 exception does not affect my rating of this app. Put playlists in files, which are stable. Playlists do not work on Androids with non-removable batteries. Android playlists are derivatives & are not stable. My music is downloaded to my phone.

Finally. A music app that doesn't delete my playlists. Good sound quality through my headphones. It's a keeper. But my only complaint is after the last update, it takes longer for the app to start. As of this month: I paid for this app to stop seeing ads on it, but from time to time, I still see them. It needs to stop.

This is by far the best sounding music app out there, but, unfortunately, it is very buggy. It randomly stops playing music and sometimes takes a long time to start up. The worst of it all, though, is how it randomly moves songs from folder to folder. It also wont save playlists sometimes, or it saves playlists to other playlists (???) Why? I really want use this app, but it is too glitchy to keep on my phone, which is a true shame! Please fix this app! It sounds too good to not have!

This app has been fantastic for years. Saving different play lists collected, dates places times and etc. I used to use it for karaoke and dj gigs with friends and family. Over all very user friendly. Only just here lately speeds and volume have been wonky. A little suspicious when used on Bluetooth zealot speaker. The ads interface seems to be corrupting my mp3 files. Changing speeds while song is playing...on its own. I have not figured how to correct...Yet. Sad... perfect for years now, bugs.
