After 1 day: I have many "dings" for fast acceleration, cornering and braking despite hyper-cautious driving. I've also had hard cornering "events" just from following curves in the road *at half the speed limit*.. overall, ridiculous. I mean, this app has such a hair trigger that it encourages the opposite of good driving behavior by tempting people to run red lights, inch forward through turns and ignore traffic flow for fear it may sense any slight change in speed or direction. Boo.

The app seems more attuned to driving in town, not on the highway. For instance, if I am driving 55-65 on a highway with traffic lights, I get a braking event everytime you have a light go from green to yellow, because no matter how slowly you brake, you are slowing down in a short time from 55-65 , depending on the speed limit, to a stop. Also we have a highway in our area, where you have to make a u- turn past the intersection to turn left. Always gives cornering event.

I need to constantly be turning on and off my battery saver in order to use this app. If I forget to turn back on the battery saver, my battery will drain, or vice versa, the information won't get captured. Also, the breaking and speeding are off. In my opinion, it's not capturing the data correctly, but from the reviews, I'm not the only one thinking about this.

The metrics it tracks are not indicative of a good driver. If you drive how this wants you to in my city you'll crash within the first hour, and get honked at and flipped off constantly. It also doesn't take into account that a passenger could be using your phone to change music. My wife and I work at the same place, and always go damn near everywhere together so she is always the dj/text answerer in the car. This terrible app absolutely destroyed my phones battery. There's more, text limit.

Usung this app, it is impossible to drive on a cruise control on a highway without getting dinged with a speeding violation when the speed on the highway goes to a lower limit. The app does not give enough time to make an adjustment to the cruise control. But dings with a speeding! Also, I drive an EV which has *regenerative* breaking, and this app is thinking that I am breaking hard and dinging me. Please fix these two issues. Thanks..

Can not access app without every service enabled (you should be able to access the app but not 'start a trip') Can not manually end a trip?? Does disabling Bluetooth/location end a trip or cancel it?? There should be an obvious button to start and stop. Screen can not be on?? People use their phones in holders for GPS! This is a legal and safe form of usage! Does turning the screen on at the end of your trip count as distracted cell use? moving phone affects corning/breaking scores

Constantly picking up the passengers as the driver even when their Bluetooth is off. Getting very annoying to have to look each and every time we drive. Called and was told to make sure Bluetooth for passengers is off and it is off so not sure what more we can do when they keep getting listed as driver and constant phone distractions are being recorded for the passenger on their phone when the driver isn't.

Glitches out all the time, needs me to always change settings on my phone.. gives red flags for hard braking (I don't ever), excessive speed (all highway speed limits were raised in TN).. its completely pointless to have in my main vehicle as there's only a $5 discount for it currently... when I try to manually update mileage, it's impossible to do without contacting someone to walk you through it, which once you do it's easy.. but unless you update it a lot, it's hard to find

What a terrible program. I constantly stay within the speed limit, but due to inaccurate readings, the app reports that I'm speeding. It always thinks I'm on a frontage road instead of the freeway, which is where I actually am. Live in a congested city with terrible drivers? Too bad, because if you have to break hard to avoid a collision, you get dinged. My bill has actually gone UP in the months since installing this, despite my best efforts to be a safe driver.

The app doesn't work a lot of the time. When it does work, I despise getting "dinged" when I'm going around a lot of corners (I live in the mountains) and when I put on my brakes to avoid hitting someone who cuts in front of me. This app gives no leeway for braking for animals or idiot drivers who tailgate and then fly past me and cut in front of me. I've been dinged for breaking quickly to avoid running a yellow / red light when the light changes suddenly.

The app, like many other apps, is designed for idiots. It wants to run in the background all the time. I have a brain, and know when to open the app and turn on Bluetooth and location services. I have radar controlled cruse control, and it will brake aggressively, the app picks this up as poor braking. There are a lot of roundabouts in our area, the app picks this up as poor cornering. Speed and acceleration are 100 percent because I use my cruse control all the time.

The UI is nice and the app functions as it should but the calibration needs work. It's way too sensitive when it comes to cornering and braking. The way it would have you drive would put you at more risk of being in an accident in my opinion. I preferred the old design of an average score. They've also recently changed the wording in their terms and conditions that concerns me. They're mostly tracking mileage but it's still unclear what else they actually use to determine the rate adjustment.

This application is very sensitive to errors. As a result, I find myself running yellow/red lights to avoid not-so-hard braking that dings my score. I also prefer the overall percentage rather than different categories. My percentage has decreased when my car is in park, in a parking space, and I am checking something on my phone. A score of 99% is considered 'good' - really? I'm not much of a fan.

I'm glad this app enables me to get a discount on my insurance, but it really doesn't work well. It frequently lists my trips as being "recorded by another device" even when my phone was the one that was Bluetooth-connected for a particular trip, and it seems that any movement of the phone (even if you don't actually pick it up or touch it for the duration of the drive) causes the app to deduct points for "phone distraction."

App has issues. The events log will record an event even if you do perfect slow cornering, gradual braking , gradual acceleration, and perfect lane change. This needs fixed. Also, the app keeps logging me out almost everyday asking me to provide my password to get back in. This needs fixed ASAP. Other than that, it works ok for what it is designed for.

Update: June-9-2024: Enjoying the Drive Safe & Safe. I like the idea it motivates me to be more conscious driver. The 2 stars the reason it it appear the app it is gear to take points off. There is an intersection I always take in my driving to work. It is like a Y intersection it has a merging lane and a sharp corner. I always take the merging lane but the app keep showing in the map I am taking the sharp turn hence recording it as an event and taking point off. Hope it get fix.

Discount often is less than 10% even with over 90% scores. It wants notifications on, but most of the time it's just annoying you with "waiting to record". Braking and cornering is overly sensitive. Run all yellow lights if you don't want to get docked for braking! This app could be great, but only if you could discuss these issues with anyone. Your agent doesn't determine discount and you can't talk to those who do so good luck finding out why your discounts drop randomly!

It is a bit picky about rapid acceleration. But the braking settings are horrible. If your cell phone is on a leather seat and it doesn't slide off from braking you didn't brake too hard. The app wants me to run yellow lights. And where do most accidents happen? Intersections!!! They have a map and know when you brake short of an intersection. Why the penalty? The app encourages drivers to enter intersections, the most dangerous place to be, at the most dangerous time, during a light change.

This app wants to know where you are at all times. There is a constant notification that this app is using location services. It is only necessary to use these services when connecting to the beacon in the car. But where my phone goes seems to be sent too, so I have it set to use location when using app, and now it only tracks my trips. The app throws a fit and won't let you see anything unless you give it permissions all the time, but I don't care as long as the trips part works. #Privacyplease

App is unusable unless you enable location access at all times. Even basic things like checking previous trips won't work. It's saving me some money on the monthly bill, sure. But the amount of times it's accessing my location, literally every few minutes all day long, is pretty excessive and invasive if you ask me. It would make more sense for this app to just access my location when it's connected to the beacon in the car.
