Very disappointing. The new Arcana story is, well off. It reads more like fanfiction fluff. The aspect ratio seems off for the BGs leaving them blurry and the kerning of the text is awful. The other stories in the app are all pretty low effort teen romances and trashy bodice rippers. The custom avatar looks like it's assets came from the low end of free3d and most of the options are behind a paywall. Just like all the "good" options in the story.

some stories just won't let me click on them or interact at all :( also, you can only be female when editing your profile which is kind of a bummer since I expected a more inclusive setup. otherwise it feels hard to navigate since you're swiping up to look at the next story rather than a grid layout? that may just be personal preference though. on the other hand this app feels like the wattpad of interactive comics which is neat and sort of nostalgic. I like being able to easily make content

The app is fine. I didn't have any problems and I understand that the content is user-created. An average rating for an average app. Areas for improvement: (1) navigation and homescreen are not intuitive. Right now the home page resembles Tiktok, but I think a Netflix-esque page would be better. (2) a proper filtering system (3) a back button in stories A sidenote to authors: $10 for ❤s means one ❤️= 12 cents. This means that one 10 ❤️ decision costs the same as 2 episodes on Webtoon 😬

I like the idea here but paying real money to be able to use the desirable dialog option isn't a price model that appeals to me. I'd rather spend a fixed amount of money on a full experience. The price for some of the content seems unexpectedly high too. Seems like some of the stories could easily end up costing more than fully-developed high-budget VNs.

It has a nice art style. And I really enjoy the cosplayers and artists who promote the app. But I just don't have the spending money to play the app and get extra scenes with people. So then the story falls flat in a lot of places. I unfortunately had to uninstall just because all the notifications kept reminding me that I needed more money to play. My apologies. No bad reviews on my end other than that. I understand in-game currency supports others for a living, I just can't help support.

There are some very good stories and it supports independent creators, but there are often glitches. I recently had a glitch that kicked me back to the 2nd episode of all of my playthroughs and I ended up uninstalling the app because it's just not worth it to me to play back through so many episodes to get to where I was. Seems like they're always working on improving, so maybe I'll try again in a year, but for now I'm frustrated.

Decided to just uninstall after being on episode 2 of one of the stores and already having to go through 4 or 5 choices that needed hearts. And the hearts are very expensive. Plus, you can only reset the dialog. You can't just go back one text. And it's also not worth getting affection points when all of the actually good stuff is locked under the hearts. For the points, it just makes the character fall in love with you more. So I'd rather just stick to a different game or an ai app.

I absolutely despise games that make me feel forced to spend money. I play free games and spend hundreds of dollars on cosmetics and other fun but non essential stuff, but when you make me feel forced to do micro transactions just to get dialogue options, that's when I nope out. At that point just sell the game instead of making it "free". This is a disgusting model. I loved the story of The Arcana but noped out immediately after I saw what they expected of players

This app would be great if there was a way to interact with the stories more. You have to pay real hard-earned money to do most things. You can choose some things but without paying most of the stories are too short and aren't interesting. There is no way to earn any hearts (things you pay for to choose the story options). Like you can't earn any by watching ads, you can't get them by interacting with the app, and it sucks. If you look at the comments for any choice its ppl mad ab having to pay!

I do love this app, I wish there were more ways to earn hearts though.... I haven't gotten a new option besides $..... I also wish we could go back to previous episodes or have a easier way to get to the main page, IT TOOK ME TWO DAYS TO FIGURE OUT HOW! But it's a pretty good all overall. Response to Dorian team: When I try to click the back space it sends me out of the app, when I try to click the back arrow it just teies to send me to another game.

I do love the storytelling on all of these stories, including the amazing characters. I'd give it a five if there was a better way to earn hearts, I understand it can give the creators money. But otherwise, it is rather difficult to get any action in stories. Edit: I have dropped it down to three stars, for my affection points had glitched and completely reset. Severely disappointing with that because now I can't unlock things in the future. And I definitely don't want to restart all over again.

I want to give this a better rating based on the stories creators have made. But I can't find anywhere that mentions if resetting means I'm forced to pay for all my choices again. Your app updated, reset my progress on a story back to first chapter (even tho the played chapters are still unlocked???) and I want to know if I have to pay for every single hearts choice again. Because if so, then I'll be uninstalling.

I tried this because I loved the original Arcana app. I was really excited about the other stories as well, such as an anthropomorphic shark romance story. I was able to read a lot of chapters at once for free, but it's very much a Pay to Play App. Spending $10 US doesn't get you enough currency to play a lot of good choices, from how I understood it. I have too many other words for this app, and none of them are good. I can't fit them all here. This is a rage quit. I am rage quitting.

It's an amazing game yes, it's just the fact that you have to pay for hearts other than earning them from ads, I don't like it, especially when most people don't want to waste money or don't have the money to choose answers they really want. That's all I'm complaining about so please can you at least add a few free ways to gain hearts? (Besides having to wait for events or finding hidden moments in very few story's.)

They are honestly great stories with great art to go along with it. The only problem that Ive had so far is just getting hearts, because you mostly have to buy them, and with a few of the stories I've spent hearts to do something and it didn't even happen. For example I spent a few hearts to have a character accompany me and then the story went on as if I made the choice to go by myself.

So infuriating. There's no real choice in the game. You can chose sometimes, but when it comes to anything that matters, you have to pay to make an actual choice. The best options in the game are pay to access, including the spice and its not cheap either. It's roughly 5-10 dollars PER CHOICE with 3-4 of those locked choices per chapter. I'm only on chapter 2 and already fed up.

I agree that the navigation could use some massaging as others have mentioned. Would be super helpful if we could have back buttons on dialogue only. Several times I have accidentally pressed my screen and skipped something with no way to go back without replaying the whole section. It also took me reading through all the reviews here to find out if replaying would require me to have to buy hearts again. Would love to be able to save multiple versions of the same story too.
